Yes I agree...It shouldnt be in emotions but practicality.... How many ppl in Purulia can afford a flight? Those who can...why should they take a flight....it takes 6 hrs by train... Travel to airport:- 1 hr Report & checkin:-2 Hr Travel time:- 1 Hr Luggage collect and come out of airport:- 1 hr Total 5 Hrs.

Every Mega City Airport has been growing except Kolkata which had more flights in the past . FYKI - Jewar Airport , NOIDA is going to be One of the Biggest Airports of Asia & biggest in India under Construction by Zurich International Airport Authority (Flughafen Zurich) , Tata Constructions , NIAL & YIAPL Designed by 4 Firms London based Haptic Architect plus Grimshaw , Norway based Nordic Architects & Mumbai based STUP . It is under construction in an area of 7,200 Acres and the projects costs ₹29,650 Cr . It will be one of the biggest logistics hubs connecting Rail ,Air , & Water with integrated multi model transportation systems . With a dedicated cargo terminal of 1 million tons The logistic hubs will have warehousing , Cold storage & Pharma storage . The Logistics Park of the Airport spread over 200 Acres , The logistics hub will cater to E- Commerce , Pharma , Aerospace , Electronics , Automotive ,Agriculture industries . The Airport will handle 60 million passengers annually after its complete expansion . Now you know WB stands nowhere in front of Infrastructure Hegemony of UP , GJ & MH . UP is ahead in FDI , MSMEs , Industries , Exports , Tourists numbers , Infrastructure Spending , No. Of Big Cities , Metro Systems , Airports , IT/Software , Sports Infrastructure, Expressways , IP Rights , Startups , ULBs , Urban Middle Class population etc etc . There is lot more to do in UP which they are doing . Keeping WB with UP is not justified as far as Financial (Debts/Fiscal Deficit/Capex) & , Political Strength it has today . By 2030 , it will harder to compare WB with UP even more ,if you like it or not .

GoI supports every state today who cooperates and has some good scope of profits . WB keeps itself isolated ,it's been their problem since the 1970s . As Far as Bihar is concerned, Bihar will remain a human force supply source destination as its geography ,Density of Population , Lack of large lands & Political Scenario doesn't support Industrial Development much . It will progress when some of the top notch states will find it expensive to set up industries , then they will shift to Bihar .

​@@priyanshumishra5778 GoI once didnt support the eastern states, and now they also arn't being proactive Out of the medical part, textile park and defense corridor, none went to any eastern states. I feel bad that TN, despite everything is also getting every support, instead of OD,JH, or WB. See I am not loving or hating any party. I am seeing various scopes of improvement which is happening here, although small scale. Msme are very high wrt UP, considering UP s population and area . It share is almost 60% of UP , which was below 50% 10 yrs back. Even kerala used to export more IT than us...! WB is a true leader in socio-economic, agriculture, basic infra, civil rights and safety (ppl doing tmc vc bjp not included and no major terror attack or maoist.). We have good medico, good quality education, arts literature....... only industrialisation and top notch infra missing, which it is filling the gap slowly. THATS SAD, SLOWLY....I'm seeing many new policies had come regarding infra, since 2-3 yrs, late although, but yes. LoA for tajpur is awaiting, idk what central ministry is doing. Buddhadeb wanted capitalism, but it was too late, state was almost bloody with terror, many big firms also couldnt operate. I remember he once tried to remove tana-rickshaw, but those won't help. Now we don't have those big social issues, and the infra construction is silently keeping pace with nations. You have to admit. London flight will be resumed this year.

@@Bijay5656 Gadhe log samjhenge ghar ke baju mein airport hone se bhi badhiya hoga. Purulia mein bhul jao, West bengal mein industry, economy sab thap hai, logon ke paas naukri nahi. Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad mein airport expansion jaruri hai, woh sabhi jagah se Indian government ka jyada revenue ata hai. Revenue mein ghanta, Purulia mein airport banake phayda kya hai?
