Yveltal is the giant vulture whose wings beat the winds of death, Hraesvelgr. Xerneas is the World Tree, Yggdrasil, itself. Zygarde is the infinite ash dragon, Niddhog, that chews the roots of the World Tree. There are other animals and beasts that are part of the ecosystem of the World Tree in myth such as the giant whose semi-lifeless corpse the tree grows out of (Ymir) or the messager squirrel that travels the branches. Some legends even have a giant cow or a herd of giant cows who breathe life into the World Tree to keep the ash dragon from chewing it.
If the kalos legendarys has some kind of norse inspiration,then we could get an emboar that looks like Thor,just like hisuian typhlosion is a mythical creature of the japanese culture Maybe an fire steel type emboar(i didn't was thinkint about the other 2 starters would be,its just the idea)
If they were to combine Paldea Lore and Kalos lore that would be INSANE like damn, Kalos literally had second best lore in Pokemon (1st is of course our beloved Sinnoh, they always win...)
What i believe is that there will be a new tapu. Hear me out. The genies were a gen 5 pokemon in gen 4 so these would be a gen 7 pokemon in gen 6. In terms of design it could be a human made tapu to protect aether paradise but it fled to Kalos after it failed to protect people in the nihilego incident.
In Norse Mythology, Ratathoskr is actually one of the most scary creatures due to the fact that it started the fued between the eagle that lives at the top of the world tree and nidhogg who lives at the bottom. It's most dangerous due to the emotional damage and mental stress it can create
I really hope we get legendary squirrel! I already love Pachirusu (& I have a bubbly, cheerful gamer girl Pachirusu named Pachinko that's a bit ditzy but positive nonetheless. The trouble with a Ratatoskr reference is that it also has to play either into Xerneas and Yveltal's Life/Death thing or Zygarde's "guardian of order" schtick. Otherwise its addition would be meaningless beyond a superficial relation to the Yggdrasil myth.
Not to mention gen 6 was the gen with the least new legendaries at only 3, the only other gens that even come close are gen 1 with 4 legendaries and gen 2 with 5 legendaries.
Give us a future Paradox Keldio. We already have the paradox forms of the 3 swords might as well finish up the group with Iron Horn. Whether the game takes place in the future or has time distortions like in Arceus you could still make it work.
I'd like the idea that if you catch all four of the item legendaries perhaps there could be a four-way Fusion of them by way of some items similar to the DNA splicers from Unova
Maybe the chaos one could be only in the past and have a Lore about all lake guardians joining to stop him and this would have been the reason of why he wasnt on the normal time line
Sadly the lake spirits are very regional so I doubt it. They are specifically to Hisuis/sinnohs lakes. So safe to assume wouldn't be one for kalos randomly. I have to assume it too will be fairy as this was the generation that added fairy type.
@@jvbon646 eh fair enough. Personally I more relate Zygarde to Nidhogr in terms of his overall dex entries and relation to Ygdrasil over that of Jormgandr but the relation makes sense. If not Fenrir, then I dunno. Ratatoskr honestly doesn't feel like he'd be quite visibly in line with the other 3 Ygdrasil trio. In terms of overall design and scale, Toskr fits more to the theme of a mythic for the gen than a legendary despite Toskrs legendary persona. To be entirely real I'd prefer something a little more "epic" out of a final legendary to round out Kalos' set. Like a Ymir, Nidhogr or Sleipnir. As much as I like the shit talking squirrel, he just doesn't have that same grandiosity in design and scale, let alone as the premier special legendary of a legends game.
@@aster1760 Honestly I don't know much about Norse mythology overall, other than some of the basic stuff and knowing some names, so I can't really say I'd pick X o Y character for the "A" mon (if it is a thing) But what I noticed is that the roles seem to be reversed (like what they did recently to Momotaro's tale with Ogerpon, Pecharunt, and the Loyal 3). Zygarde is the good guy, is the one keeping balance in the ecosystems, steping in when there's a huge menace to the whole planet (like in the series XYZ arc, or against Necrozma in the SuMo manga). But the inspiration to its form, from a super simplistic PoV, are the "bad guys" of the story since they are related to Ragnarok (Hel not that much, from what I've seen). Perhaps they will flip the whole thing on it's head, and the "A" Legendary could be a representative of the Æsir (could be a composite of them or just based on specifically 1 of them, like say Odin. Or maybe be a trio) and that will be the one to try to "start Ragnarok" making them the badguys instead. I know there's supposed to be Nine Worlds not just Midgard, so it would be cool if they do something like having a new Legendary group, say an "ABC" trio, and each one of them represent a different realm or race. Like the A can be the Æsir, and the B is like the Jottun, C the elves, you get the idea. And the group are enemies of Zygarde. And this is more of a crackpot idea, but since those Worlds are meant to be like different realities, they could have them be straight up Ultra Beasts invaders. That would mean they aren't natural to this reality's balance, so Zygarde would be forced to step in and it would tie with why Z shows up in Alola. And also make the Regions feel a bit more interconnected, instead of just a bunch of unrelated microworlds.
Of note the tapus are the only trio/quartet of legendaries missing from scarlet and violet so they could be in za, but also could just he they didnt want tapu koko in the game for vgc reasons with quark drive
Honestly, one I wouldnt fully rule out is Lunar Duo We got Cresselia, of Dreams, representing a Crescent moon Darkrai of Nightmares for a new moon, but what would a Full Moon membet of that group look like
I feel a new member of the sword of justice could work. Sence the swords of justice are based off of the three musketeers a French story it could work. Maybe it could be the mentor of calbalion, vrizion, and terrakion.
I think a cool legendary/mythical to get a new variant would be diancie. It's based off of a princess so a prince version wouldn't be too surprising. Instead of rock fairy it could be rock fighting. And since diancie has a mega, this new version would also get one. Diancies name is a combination of diamond and fancy so maybe a name like Dailuxe could work for this new pokemon being a combination of diamond and deluxe. Or it could be Dailux as in luxurious.
To be fair, the lake sisters are Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. So you would have to come up with a facit of logic to make a new lake trio. I think the groups that have themes that could be open to additions would be the legendary beasts and birds who are just birds and beasts from various myths. The regies (though there are already a lot of them) Who could get a Nuclear or Bronze age addition. Then you have Kalos's box trio already mentioned, The forces of nature could just pull from other shinto gods (though they wouldn't add a new member so soon). Also, not quite a legendary group but I can imagine that game freak could add more paradox pokemon since it's implied that this game will have time travel involved.
The Forces of Nature are kinda done Their Incarnate Formes take inspirations from Kami, which is open to new stuff. But their true forms are the Therian Formes, and those take from the 4 Auspicious Beast, which, as the name imply, are 4. Enamorus was added to complete the groups. The only thing they are missing is the Yellow Dragon representing the center, but that one is kind of already implied to be the Original Dragon/Kyurem (tho Origin Dialga/Palkia take that role in PLA, which explains why they are in Sinnoh)
One thing is for sure.. We are definitely getting a mega Charizard Z and Mega mewtwo Z. It would honestly be a bit of a shame if we got a new lake spirit, him being an edgy boy would be cool but they are such middle of the road lesgendaries. It would be cool to get another bird or dog but we got their galar forms and paradox in the last two gens. It would be also be cool to get a new legendary to fit with lugia and Ho-Oh though since they are the only main duo of legendaries left. It would have to be part flying type. It shouldn't be fire since ho oh or fairy since is asociated with rainbows, psychic or water because of lugia, grass could be cool but you have celebi. Normal, bug, dragon and fighting dont really make sense. You could approach it one of two way, either have it be like an ancient guy and have it be ground, rock or steel with flying. Or since ho oh is associated with wishes and rebirth and lugia is a guardian of the sea you could have it be an evil guy wanting destruction. I would say dark flying but yeveltel is already that combo. So it could be Ice, Poison or ghost. You could have it wanting to bring an ice age and snow storms with ice flying, You coulr have it want to poison the land with poison flying or have it be tied to death with ghost flying and have it not like ho oh because it revived the dogs or lugia since it quells storms for humans. The downside of those 3 is we already have ice flying with articuno(though moltress is fire flying), we just got a whole bunch of poison legendaries and ho oh is already involved with ghost type kind of how lugia is with water even though its not their type... I also love regicorn but If you did go it being this ancient flying / ground, rock or steel you could have a grass regi thats super old and call it RegiMoss and have it be a golem type thing with a bunch of overgrown moss on it. It could be like the inverse of Registeel. It could be HP 80, Attack 150, Defense 75, SpAtk 150, SpDef 75 and 50 speed. It would kind of make sense lore wise also if you have it be this slow moving powerhouse thats vulnerable to attacks and isn't super durable but if it can get its hand on you, you're toast.
Fear is a emotion and chaos would be the opposite of zygarde so creativity would be the most likely fourth lake guardian but that may be counted tho as a mixture of knowledge emotion and willpower
I feel like we might get a 5th Genie, based on the golden dragon since it's like the leader or something of the Four Symbols, which is what the Forces of Nature are based on

The Golden Dragon is kinda implied to be the Original Dragon/Kyurem One of the big details most point out is that the Genies don't match the Colors that they represent, but instead have it as a Gem in their bellybuttons (with only 1 exception iirc). Kyurem also have something similar, a yellow crystal in the forehead, which he doesn't lose even after fusing and the intro to B2W2 made emphasis on it. Yellow also seems to be the go-to color for GF when making God-like Pokemon, which the OD sure as hell was. Arceus is pure yellow and white, with some green for "jade" (that gem had divine connections in some mythology) The Primals were made of a pure yellow energy with a Red/Blue shell covering them. Ultra Necrozma is straight up pure yellow shining nonstop. And all we see inside Kyurem is also Yellow, not just the Gem and eyes. The claws in it's arms/legs are crystalline and see-tru, and the inside of the body is yellow. The same is also true for the crystalline spikes at the end of it's wings (the things that shoot the beams to force Zek/Resh into their Stone Forms) The general consensus is that the OD was prolly Gray (representing balance between both Yin and Yang), but with Golden/Yellow details (most depict the wierd Icy-things in the fusions as golden and metallic, the shoulder things and leg blades)
Bit of a big ask, but I'd personally like part of the story to be witnessing a Carbink mutating and becoming Diance, and then the evil team come and capture it, destroying the place that caused Diance to come into existence, hence why there's only one and its a mythical, it doesnt trust humans after that interaction.
Ah yes, the lake spirits. I would not like to go diving into lava to get the forth one however. I would also really like to see what the 4 perils look like together 😭.
I'm not sure it would make sense thematically to add a fourth member to the Aura Trio. If we imagine that Xerneas represents eternal life, Yveltal represents eternal death, and Zygarde represents change (Just my understanding of the three), then Xerneas and Yveltal are meant to be two sides of the same coin, while Zygarde is the opposite of both of them. And I can't think of anything that would be the opposite of change, but fit on the same coin.
When I was a child, there was a rumor in my primary school that there is a third legendary pokemon in the latios and Latias duo… Peopl said that it is turquoise colored and named LATINOS 😂😂 now when I think about it was soooo racist but people were looking for it… YEAH these where the times when RUBY/Sapphire/Emerald were released ;)
Enamorous was needed to fulfill the 4 symbols: suzaku, seiryuu, byakko, and now with enamorous, genbu. (The japanese names of the symbols, I dont know the Chinese ones) The lake trio are actually meant to represent the three japanese regalia So I dont see us getting a 4th lake trio at all
The lake guardians are already linked to the Caelestis clan. Volo (I want) , Cogita(I know) , Cinthia(I feel) The fourth guardian would have to be related to Verity (truthful)?
