When he told everyone to get down I decided to turn around and look. I will never forget, the entire venue was down. I was the only person standing up, right up front in the middle. Ive been a metalhead since I was 4 and my daddy had me listen to Megadeth for the first time. I was instantly hooked. Slipknot has always been one of my all time favorites. I love yourface when you're head banging! Literally the face all metalheads make when we are really feelin it!

I saw slipknot when I was 16 when they were at ozzfest in like 1999 and I saw them again a few months later at the warehouse near my house in Toronto. STILL is the most incredible experience of my life. I was up front in the mosh pit for both. They were right in front of me, Chris crowd surfed over me, everything was infinitely holy-shit-levels of epic. I don't know about now, but back then, mosh pit courtesy was sacred. Just don't go into the circle pit unless you feel like fighting ;) Literally everyone around me was insane and wild AF, and lovely, both at the same time

From all the concerts i have been in my life i can tell and assure you that metal concerts have been the ones where i felt the safest. Metal fans are the most warm hearted, helpful, supportive, loving people of all time. There is no hate, no agression towards others, no letting others down. Even in a mosh-pit, if you fall, within 0.2 seconds there are 35 ppl dragging you up, asking if you are ok and then the party goes on. i have been to a reggea festival where i got bitched at because i touched someone with my arm when moving. I have been bitched at when i visited a commercial pop festival because i was tall, so the ones behind me kept kicking me in the back. nothing like this has ever happened to me at a metal concert or festival. My sister lost her phone while jumping up at this song and after around 5 seconds she got all the parts reached from all directions. i swear, metal fans are the best. i guess it is because the majority of metal fans had no easy life, they got bullied, pushed aside, outsourced by society and so on. they literally ate the shit with spoons and believe me, this makes you a greater person than anyone who was the idol in school could ever be. don't be afraid of going to a metal concert, you will be surprised by how many great friends you will make
