I went from Jaguar xfs had from new for 13 years cost me a fortune but really enjoyed it, now im 74 iv had a HS phev dont do many miles averaging 70miles to gallon, pefrect for my cycle trips and fishing trips , i hardly put any petrol in just charge it after every trip perfect for retirement.
@@TotallyEV it will do around 30 miles or more depending how you drive it on electric only and also picks up fast on electric only but I don't do many miles so just fine for Pensioners like me .
Trophy but wheres the sunroof gone ? wheres the option of the gorgeous cream black seats dash and door insets ??? Seems only privileged 1st world countries LOL like cambodia, Romania ect etc, have these included in the trophy price . PS THE TROPHY IS ABOUT 500 EUROES CHEAPER IN ROMANIA , once you do a pound for euro valuation
I had the pre Facelift model as a rental car and found it very loud and tiring at highway speeds. My recent Qashqai is much more quiet especially in the lower frequency range. The media system is junk imho e.g. switching between seat heating and apple car play is a pain in the a...the shortcut buttons need to be close to the screen not where there are.
250 miles! That’s it ? My Corolla gets 500 plus on a full tank there is no way I’m looking at this as an option now I’d be filling it up twice a week!!!!!
Worthy price tag as in size and inclusive extras but insurers give below par safety rating letter, BUT not so for the same vehicle with standard petrol only 1.5 turbo . Meaning mg didnt safety match brake wise the extra phev horsepower or the extra 250 odd kilo weight when going over road holes/bumps . If the standard petrol version with auto box could constantly average 40 ish mpg in mixed driving i would have no hesitation to buy a 23 or 73 plate but mates got one in trophy form only getting a meanish 30mpg in town. His motorway trips have better numbers but not convinced .
I’m due to collect my cosmic silver HS dct trophy on the 4th Jan. This was a great review and insightful. Here’s another fact under the handle for the arm rest there is an air filter that helps clean air flow through to the rear passengers to the rear air vents.Thanks again ! 😉

Just bought the petrol only version. Absolutely trash!!!!! The gear box and engine are rubbish plus the quality of the used materials screams cheap China..... I wish I never bothered with this overpriced junk.....
@@oyekeye but why shouldn't they ? I agree the MG HS is terrible along with most of the other MG range (maybe MG4 is a slight exception) ...I don't mind being seen as a 'troll' if I manage to save one person from buying into the horrible world of MG.
