Great review👍🏼…fyi you got the standard and long range performance mixed up….the standard as 130KW power and the long range as 115KW….makes no sense to me but that’s what MG have said
That's a good observation, and one that we find really odd. No other manufacturer has the larger battery pack model with less quoted power, anyway thank you for highlighting the mistake!
Hola, eso se debe a que la batería de 51kWh es de tipo Lifepo4 y es capaz de entregar descargas de corriente mayores que las de tipo NCM/NCA, por eso el propulsor es más potente.
@@TotallyEV Could I ask ,can I connect the portable charger that comes with the car to any standard extension cable ? I have a lodge at the coast and the nearest socket is too far away ftom the charger plug.Great channel you have ,excellent work.Cheers again. Steve
Not sure who said that, but that's certainly not the case; poor testing by the others it seems! Feel free to compare it yourself with the rival vehicles mentioned in the review.
I have a strange question. I hope to get one (though the waiting list is enormous. In Thailand where I live, the MG ZS EV is a connected car which I don't like. I have some chats with people on this and the question now is where the antennas for this are because I want to be able to disconnect them. Any idea?
My local Kia dealer told me yesterday that they're not taking any orders for the e-Niro, so that one's off the list, the Kia EV6 is on 12 months delivery, as is the Ioniq 5. I've had an id3 on order since last July and no sign of it appearing soon, I suspect the id4 will be a similarly long wait. The local MG dealer says he can supply a ZS long range in June/July so I'm considering cancelling the VW and going for that.
Funnily enough after uploading this video, the Kia e-Niro was made unavailable in wake of the new model coming. We actually had plans to review the facelift model, as we wanted to revisit it (very much like the MG), however cancelled those plans as the current-gen e-Niro is only available through dealers that still hold the inventory.
Great review, can't wait to receive mine in June, can anyone advise me if there is a way to charge a laptop inside the car? What adapter would I need for it. Thanks in advance 👍
Pleasure, glad you liked the review! Unfortunately, there's no 3-pin socket within the cabin and for you to have access to V2L (for charging outside of the vehicle), you'll need to purchase a separate adapter from an MG dealer - should have made this clearer within the review, sorry.
@@TotallyEV No that's fine, i knew there wasn't a 3 pin socket, would a normal inverter do the job? not sure as it's my first electric vehicle. What did you think about the battersea blue? I have it ordered but it looks different to that in the brochure. Think I might change it.
Nick are you still getting yours in June? I ordered mine at the start of January from vanarama with an estimated delivery date of 3 May, I’ve now been provisionally advised it could be September. Not sure if this is just affecting vanarama customers as some dealers appear to have stock although it mainly appears to be standard range versions
You won't be paying £34k for the trophy model. £32k max with MG offers out there. I got it down to £29.5k with scratch warranty. Special NHS deal. For everyone else, 32k for top range is a no brainer and better than what you'll get with the competition.
Indeed that time (7.28s) is correct; it was tested a multitude of times and frequently achieved that number. We can't comment about other reviewers, but our tests are consistent, don't use the manufacturer's quoted time, and use Racelogic's Vbox Sport for GPS accuracy - while others might just resort to using an app, thus the weaker GPS signal of their smartphones.
I have a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium. When looking at the MG in the video, it looks like a lot of styling queues have been lifted from the Mustang Mach-E. In fact it looks like a cheap version of the Mach-E Select. The power plant is different but the MG's profile looks like an slightly modified version of the Mach-E
You know I was thinking that. MG worth the price asking. 5 star Road safety as well. Think MG is trying to get noticed reason why it's going so cheap for a EV. Love the mustang though.
@@TotallyEV people just go on about the niro but test drove a soul and honestly if I could've afforded it I'd have bought it on the spot with the red paint and black roof
A recent Australian Strategic Policy Institute report indicates that the Chinese government “has facilitated the mass transfer of Uyghur and other ethnic minority citizens from the far west of Xinjiang,” to work in factories across the country. '“Under conditions that strongly suggest forced labor, Uyghurs are working in factories that are in the supply chains of at least 82 well-known global brands in the technology, clothing and automotive sectors." Including MG
What you should know before buying an electric buggie, is hundreds of thousands have been recalled for fire, and breaking suspension caused by the extra weight. Your own personal crematorium.
Worst looking EV! MG needs to focus on its design. Even Nexon which is less price than this looks much better. MG is loosing a lot of potential customers bcoz of its looks.
