Ben, can you please go over the technical preparations for a normal shoot in your studio? For example, what do those words like key lighting? Mean? Maybe you could explain how lighting works in general?
Always sage advice from you Ben. Thank you. I just got my desk/studio setup sorted before you released this 🙄. I’m tight on space and so got 2 x Godox ES45 light panels and an Elgato teleprompter (which is great) with their Facecam Pro allowing me to have it permanently set-up as I use my Sony A7iv all the time for my photography. Plus a Blue Yeti mic. (Not that you were asking but fun to share 😅)
Great setup! I would say the back light is a bit distracting because it’s bright and right at the side of your head, so maybe to keep the rim light down and centered behind you so it’s out of the view? That would be the only thing I would want to play with for the video. Great setup nice and easygoing I wish I didn’t have to always set mine up everytime I want to film I feel that resistance you are talking about and it makes me film so inconsistent
I'm looking forward to your new format and content. You turned me on the the 360 camera and it has been so much fun and less cumbersome than traditional cameras. Good Luck and I will keep watching.
Always good to see other RU-vidr showing their studio space. But for me, the main problem is to keep available the lights and setup at all time (find it very chaotic) since i dont have an extra room to do Yt video only...
Thanks! Personally I never script a video as I prefer a more authentic delivery. But I always have bullet points I refer to, to help keep the video on track 😀
So are the desk, monitor, keyboard and mouse in the background just props? Do you have everything duplicated behind the camera and mic that we don't see? I'm having an Inception moment.
I see you using final cut pro and capcut just one question do you know if video quality if you work of final cut pro and export the clip and than use that clip and work in capcut and export it again would that degrade video quality if you using the same video file and working between the two video editing softwares?
@@BenClaremont ahh, true! I’m a camera normie. So I forgot all about that tier. I’ve only held RED cameras in my dreams. 😅😄 Looking forward to the new Wednesday content format! Keep up the great work!
I have to kindly disagree about the background. Those old colorful photos, that you used previously, gave the setup some charecter. This new "office view" is just extremely generic and dull.
I think character is the keyword there- while the photos had nice colours, they didn’t really have character as it was more like wallpaper. This new setup is just the beginning of creating a new character, and will develop more of it over time 👍🏻
I was going to say the collage background was cool but in the side by side comparison this looks more professional. However I have to agree with the other dude that it did make your channel instantly recognizable.
The gear is really not that expensive Tony, especially when you consider the budget options I shared. Like I said, you don’t need to buy everything at once, just slowly expand your kit over time.
He's showing what he uses. It's 10 years of graft and upgrades. Even using cheaper gear the principles are the same. Do what you can with what got and create something then do more.
... and despite a 20.000 USD setup, the audio is still out of sync by a few frames. I might be the only one who is bothered, but that is really super-annoying and makes the video for me unwatchable, sorry Sir.
@@BenClaremont well, all with you in it are out of sync. that makes it dreadful to watch. With all your cameras, and mac stuff you show up in that video, you are not far out from 20k. but good to know, that you dont care...
@@DiveMonster sorry dude but you’re just nitpicking and not really adding anything to the conversation. We all make mistakes. All you can do is move on and do better next time.
