Having Andrew to film and comment on the the Golf 8.5 GTI Clubsport at its launch, would be a massive benefit to Volkswagen. His level of detail and knowledge are outstanding.

VW Germany posted a press release on the day after this video, basically saying what I said in this video with a few other juicy bits about the Clubsport, all of which I will cover in my next video, hopefully from the 'ring :)

One of the many reasons why I watch your videos is I get wizard level of insight and perspectives that I don't get from most car journalist. It would be great if you can make the trip to Germany to cover the event, but I would understand if you can't make the business case. Can't wait to see what VW has up their sleeves. :)

If the clubsport will cost the same like the pre facelift or more here in belgium, then its over and out here......BTW i see the new "normal' gti priced in germany at 45000 and germany is cheaper then belgium so its over and out for golfs here in belgium for good, because you see almost no mk8 sporty versions here..... Nice, VW... I hope you will collapse.
