I was 3 when MLK was killed, so I've known of him all my life, but there is a very specific moment when he became very relevant to me. I write newsletters and whatnot for companies, and I've interviewed thousands of employees for "meet ... so and so" stories, and one day I was interviewing a young black man working at a bank and he spoke so reverently of Dr. King and mentioned that he had started his journey with MLK by listening to one of his sermons --- The Drum Major, so I looked it up and listened to it. In general, it's about not being too prideful, and it led me to other MLK sermons that are also powerful, Even his "I have a Dream" speech was made up of thoughts he had preached on many times before, which is how he made it seem easy. If "I Have a Dream" is the bulk of what you know about MLK, I highly recommend listening to his sermons and other speeches.

Illegal aliens already know that if they turn themselves in to the Border Patrol, they'll be mass-released into the country without so much as a court date for their inevitably spurious claims to asylum. Title 42 resulted in the expulsion of only 19% of them, meaning the rest had an 81% chance of getting in. Now with Title 8, the result will be the same, and if there are a lot of them coming, they will simply be released - after lots of tough vetting, they claim, another one to make migrants laugh. If they are slightly less lucky, they will be issued a "notice to report" to the authorities, called "parole," to be done on the honor system. Most, of course, skip the honor. If they are slightly less lucky than that, they will be released on an "alternative to detention," plan, or "parole" as well, and if it gets to that, there aren't going to be any parole officers looking for them once they skip their court date two, three, or ten years from now. The fact that the democrats are more concerned about television pictures of crowded detention facilities than they are about securing the border tells illegal aliens all they need to know about what their odds are if they cross illegally in huge numbers. The more who cross, the fewer who get detained and expelled, owing to the Biden's real priority: the fear of those news pictures. You need to say who LBJ is, I suspected, but as a Brit I wasn't sure you meant Lyndon Baines Johnson? And LBJ, but he signed the Civil Rights Act... so I find it hard to believe he would work against Martin Luther King, that doesn't make sense?
Bernie Sanders really did fight for civil rights as a young man. Yes Jonothan, that picture really was of him. Meanwhile, Hillary was warning us about inner city predators. Which has me really concerned about Jonothan Capehart's authenticity. Riding MLK's coattails much? Tell me Jonathon.
