New MMORPGs of 2019 Actually Worth Your Attention

Most of us are guilty of constantly looking for new and upcoming MMOs and MMORPGs. We devour anything with new, upcoming, mmo or mmorpg in the title and are surprised and a little let down when we don't find something new and exciting we hadn't seen in the last 7 videos we watched and 13 articles we read.
I put together this list.. kind of like how I did last year with the only titles in 2019 I'm even concerned with. Not new mmorpgs that have been upcoming and 'to be released later this year' since 2016. You may or may not see some games you've heard of, but I think there might be a few upcoming mmorpgs mentioned here that some people may not have seen before.

PRO TIP: Korean MMO's start beautifully and end up going Pay to Win. EVERY ... FREAKING ... TIME. Save your time and effort and start skipping them.

There's a reason why Koreans don't really play MMOs except WOW and FF14... Our publishers are some of the most greedy fucks out there. Pay to win is inevitable in a Nexon game.

EQ Next looked like it was going to suck badly. I'm glad it got cancelled based on what it was going to be. I'm just annoyed that they missed the mark on what the demographic wanted to the extent that we got a voxel game instead of an old-school MMO. Here's to hoping Pantheon is great. We'll just have to see.

Best line up i've seen tonight while grinding Lumas on Temtem for 8 hours, lol. You got a new subscriber. One suggestion is to keep the name of the game in one of the corners, small, just so I can remember what its name was and can track back and find the one I want to google. Hey Fevir! Loved your video. Wanted to say, that I have played the demo version of Lost Ark on the Russian servers at the beginning of June 2019. AND IT WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER. I cannot wait to see this game out, and finally play it. Its a masterpiece, hands down. :D

Totally get what you meant by the visible loot drops. I always found "sparkling lights" boring, it's nothing tangible and then all you get is a text prompt for what the pickup was called and an inventory icon. Nothing binds it to the world as well as an explosion of actual loot.

you had me at "it actually reminded me a lot of ragnarok online". still to this day i've never made better friends, had more fun farming, or upgrading items/reselling/merchant, guild wars. it was all good. the only downside was once they added transcending, getting to 99 transcended took a ridiculously long time, even with guild dungeons.

@@roflshot1414 i think mmorpgs should have 3 ways for you to get the rare endgame loot. First you should have a slight chance to drop items from a hard boss in a dungeon. so you might say its rng but really its just a grind if you are able to do the dungeon as often as you want. Then there should be a way to aquire endgame gear in pvp. this should be competetive so you have to reach a specific rank or smth like that to be able to purchase the gear or something like that. Last there should be a really tough quest which requires you to do a lot of very basic things that take a lot of time but if you are a hardcore grinder thats the loot you can go for. Just look at the way you aquire legendaries in GW2 thats what i would call hardcore grind. if an mmorpg has these 3 elements for their endgame loot it is automatically one of if not the best mmo out there !

I loved the grind and combat of BDO. It was one of my best MMORPG experience until i realized those bitchez never gonna fix the desync, pop up, 20fps worldboss/siege... so i went for pen roulette and quit :) #feelsgoodman

It's interesting that you point out how seeing the loot item drop made it feel different, in Everquest if the named mob you are about to kill has a weapon for loot you can see it holding it before hand. In fact it uses it to fight you so does increased damage and uses the magic effects etc, I always liked that. Causal link blah blah blah :D

This was my first impression too - however after following the game and it's media for nearly 6 months I have to say I am much more excited about Hytale than I ever was for Cube World. However it's less like Cube World, and more like what minecraft *should* be by now, and a little more. The game seems to be very community focused, especially with the developers themselves coming from an extensive history with minecraft communities and servers. They understand everywhere minecraft is lacking, and that makes me so excited. Also, they have investment from Riot Games. Yeah. You know, the guys behind League of Legends...big stuff man

Great video as usual, I’ve been looking for a good MMO. Currently I play ESO and I recently got into FF14, which they both are fun. But I want to start fresh on a new MMO where everyone is in the same boat. I don’t want to get into a game that’s already been out for awhile. Definitely looking forward to some of these games!

The nice thing with ESO and FFXIV is the expansions this year - so you get a bit of that feeling.. at least temporarily. Lots of other great non-mmorpgs being released though so I don't mind the lull.

Fevir hahah yep. They just launched another PVE thing today and it’s a bit underwhelming but still fun/challenging on the hardest difficulty. I’m just ready for a new game to blow me away, hopefully one that isn’t a battle royale lol

Some creators want to remain unbiased and getting treated like a celebrity whilst getting free shit could definitely swing that bias. I appreciate his stance on the matter that he mentioned in his update comment.

Hytale seem interesting to play, I had been playing tooo many graphic intensive games, id like a switch up on some mine craft themed or toony games done right. Besides since it is not as intensive and realistic as many games, My pc won't have too much work even running it like cough Secret world legends cough cough. One important thing I like for a game is making it playable if it were a game about skill.
