Thoroughly thinking about becoming an electrician apprentice- i have no clue what youre saying half the time but your videos give me motivation

Great advice. Reminds me of when we moved into our house about 3 years ago. LED landscape lights would burn out, about 1/month. PITA. All I could figure was poor quality bulbs. One evening I was out in the yard next to the transformer box when the lights went on and heard a quiet but distinct zzzzzzzt. Sure enough. Dug into the panel and found a really bad splice. Burned wire nut would arc whenever I poked it. Easy fix. Then no more LED burnouts. I guess they were getting spiky power due to the arcing.

Nice! Question: why don't electricians use ferrules on the main wires going into the panel? Seems like they would create more of a solid contact. Guess you could at your own house.

a thermal camera could work in that scenario? for example a lot of people doesn’t know that a loose nut or a poor contact can cause a fire, we used to find those hot connections with a cheap thermal camera and we found a lot of loose terminals with poor connections.
