The last part of the reading reminded me of 2 quotes. The first is my favorite from John Steinbeck's "East of Eden": "Now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good." The bit about living the non-linear life especially reminds me of my affirmation for Cancer season, which is this quote by Mary Oliver about her creative process. I highly recommend looking up the full quote. "My responsibility is not to the ordinary or timely. My loyalty is to the inner vision, whenever and howsoever it may arrive." I’ve been fighting to make things happen and feeling anxious and exhausted. I realised today that my power and ability to move forward on my deep work involves what appears as surrender and withdrawal and it feels gloriously rebellious. A life affirming f - you to all the people running me ragged with judgements ideas and expectations.
I wanted to comment again about how intense the energetic lessons are for me 😢 this Cancer season is really teaching me such valuable lessons about the language of emotions and how we either direct emotions into an “old” story and keep feeding a disempowering story or use both positive AND negative emotions as fuel to empower our “new” story by telling myself “I Am not accepting anything less than… such and such!” It also showed me where I was being egoic and too much in my mind to “get” what I wanted while ignoring the true energy I was approaching people with, ie the emotions I was feeling. My birthday is tomorrow - 30! I’ve been moving so fluidly and making my dreams materialize. 30 feels like the beginning for me. I’m finally grounding myself in my strengths. ❤ I’ve spent a lot of years sitting in the dark and gaining the wisdom and now I want to do something with what I’ve learned. When you spoke of the mothering part it brought up tears. I dreamt last night I found a baby alone in a hallway and was desperate to save her. I was screaming for help but there was no sound to my screams. I woke up and had several moments of panic and tears to the point of calling my partner home for awhile because I couldn’t ground myself and I was convinced I was dying. I still feel so drained but better. Thank you for this beautiful xx♥️
