Based on the inspirational story from the memoir of Henry Fraser, The Little Big Things is the first musical written by a young team (Nick Butcher and Tom Ling’s lyrics and Joe White’s book). A third of the cast are making their professional debut (or are not far off). A third have a disability.
This youthful energy fizzes off the stage, though it also reveals moments that may have been helped by a more experienced eye and a sharper pen.
This production of The Little Big Things is @sohoplace theatre in London's West End and is currently booking until 2 March 2024. I was invited to attend for free on Wednesday 1 November 2023.
