The film’s release date is April 13, which is the also Friday the 13th.

It also dropped exactly 6 months prior to release. Looking forward to the next Friday the 13th cause of New Mutants.

King Blaze it was announced as being 12:01am PST. The whole reason they released it is that it was midnight on Friday the 13th. It’s not a film surrounding ghosts so I don’t see why they’d focus on the 3am thing.

Logan was in no way shape or form a Western, being a fan of Westerns since the days of Lamere, The Rifleman, The Wild West. Logan is more a dram in the same vain of movies like The Road, The Grey, The Last of Us, Walking Dead and Book of Eli.

And Deadpool a romantic comedy...glad Fox is exploring new genres within the genre

Yeah will admit that fox has some gems like Deadpool,Logan,and x2 but this looks like another jump scare mess with out mutant title and name in the teaser. It’s interesting though I’ll give it that.

dadarkknight36310 there wasn't literal cowboys but Logan was just as much a modern day western as Hell or High Water was. I'd agree that Logan is a sci-fi drama but it's stylized and shot as a western.

I have wanted a New Mutants movie just only the comic books but after what Josh Boone and others have said about the comic books I am not sold on it. I have also wanted more than just a movie about New Mutants but this I don't think is the best start for the New Mutants future things like cartoons, TV shows and many more things.

Magik power alone is quite freaky and dark. having power to tap in and out of "Limbo" dimension, also known as "Demonic-Limbo". Next being a sorcerer supreme in that Limbo dimension. I'm not so sure this New Mutants gonna tapping into her true potential though.

Or Illyana's hell/limbo dimension bleeding thru or a combo of both!

This is why I was sooo disappointed in Doctor Stranger. Feige was all this crap about Strange being a horror movie and it was the reason they went out and got Erickson but it did not feel like a horror at all, it felt like your typical marvel action comedy movie. This trailer was what I was hoping Strange was going to be.

I was hoping for a good movie after reading the New Mutants comic books. But now I am thinking maybe Warner Bros, Universal Pictures or for someone else to make a future good for the New Mutants anyone else besides Fox and Josh Boone.

Kevin Reynart Dedpool is my number one favorite movie. Can't I at least try to think of something that could turn things around to where at least we can agree on something. I don't think we said Disney. I believe we said Marvel. But yes, I can see how that can make one think that we're thinking of Disney since they have the rights to most of the Marvel stuff.

I know about the Demon Saga which is ture about the movie being inspired by it however. This is not the only reason why it is being turned into a horror film. I also have bought some of he coming books.

Kyle Fukumoto Ture the hospital/asylum might be be the Badlands from the comics. However sadly that might happen with the rumors of the asylum acting as a replacement for the X-Mansion. Plus with the director saying that the children are messed up, ill and sick chances are it is probably a real asylum and not an illusion created by Demon Bear.

I am not glad. I have said that there are some things in the comic books that could make New Mutants a movie but I don't think that they are going about it the best way.

Moses King I guess the mcu wouldn’t but most of the time I enjoy the mcu movies and feel like yeah the formula may be similar but each one adds something different and new. Now infinity war looks pretty good and dark.

Kevin Feige is too stuck in his little PG-13 bubble which is great for kids. But Fox's X-Men is where it's at for me.

I would like to see Demon Bear as well and the Soul sword to. But the who like what is happening with this movie and who don't like comic books said that Magik, Limbo and her Soul sword are a crazy mess that Fox should not add into the movie. They have also said why Demon Bear they don't think he is a good choice for the movie.

Michael Bush People keep saying that PG-13 is kid and family friendly but when War For the Planet of the Apes came they called it the best adult movie. The third Plant of the Apes is a PG-13 movie movie made by Fox so if that is classified as an adult movie and not a kids movie than I think they can have more good movie just like the last Planet of the Apes with Caesar.

James Frank Yea and Planet of the Apes is a Fox property. I haven't seen a ape movie so I can't comment on them. And you're right you can make a great adult PG-13 movie for adults, but Disney has yet to prove to me that they're willing to be bold with their properties. Disney hasn't made a Deadpool or a Logan. People say Kevin Feige would make an R rated movie if they had the right property but I highly doubt it because it doesn't fit the MCU and Disney probably doesn't see it as profitable. Every marvel movie that had came out in 2017 has been lackluster to me. To quote Logan the MCU is "ice cream for bed wetters". Everything Disney does at this point is just predictable and unfortunately it looks like they're about to buy Fox's movie studio so now we might have a significant lack of diversity in film now. I'm dreading what it all could potentially mean and I hope Disney proves me wrong.

Yes it is the Demon Bear Saga. I have said New Mutants could be a horror film because of some of the things in the comics. But I have also said that there are other different things I have said it could be turned into because there is a lot of things in the comic books that could turn a New Mutants in many different things but horror was the number one choice that Fox choose . There are many different choices to choose from in the comic series.

Is it okay if I give you a heads up about the people behind Fox are wanting to change the superheroes so much that they don't just want R rated movies and Horror movies they are also wanting to do NC17 superhero comic book movies.

I am not horror fan either but I can think of a few other horror movies I would see over this movie. But if they put Selene Gallio the immortal psychic vampire mutant, the alien robots the drain the life out living beings, Mirage ' ability to sense death, Magik's Soul sword, the bloodstones which are made out of blood, the demon Belasco and Hell/Limbo in the movie just like how they are in the comic books. Than I think it could be a good horror movie.

Well, the era of New Mutants this movie is based off, has a very horror aesthetic, Ilyanna's battle with the demons, leading into the Demon Bear, leading to the first Appearance of Warlock, leading to the Cloak & Dagger crossover, leading into the introduction of Legion, then to the Shadow King. That is about 20 issues of very dark storylines.

I think the best thing to say is it probably just might be good. Yes some people will it and some people won't. While almost everyone talks about the saving the world and comedy in the marvel movies I don't worry all I want to see is a superhero do heroic things like what Colossus does in Deadpool. It doesn't matter what rating it is doesn't matter what anyone else thinks all that matters is that the movies and characters Are done right. No one no matter what they say or how much they fight with another person is going to change their minds.

Kevin Reynart That is ture I am prejudging but I see it as we both are I know you don't like Thor: Ragnaronk I get it. But every one has different taste you and others don't like the MCU and Marvel fans don't like the R-rated adult movies. The MCU fans see something there in the Disney Marvel movies you that you don't see or understand but you see something there in the adult superhero movies that they will never understand. After all this is only the first trailer who nows maybe the next trailer that comes out might have me saying yes okay New Mutants will definitely be a movie I will see. But so far the first trailer doesn't have me saying that just yet. So can you have some hope that I might be impressed by the next trailer. Let me trying an example if that is all right to point out the different between people. For example I loves olives I could eat them for days and probably never get sick of them but my brother can't stand them. I can't understand why he doesn't like them because I love the taste and but he can't understand why I love them because he hates the taste. So picture that only but instead of olives switch it with movies and we get the same result with Fox fans and Marvel fans. Here is the true from me hearing about New Mutants being a horror movie makes me want to see all the horror stuff that is in the comics books but didn't see any of that in this trailer the horror stuff I had pictured in mind and I know that you know how that feels everytime you see a trailer for one of those Marvel movies. I was hoping for Selene I was hoping for Belasco and everything else like that in the comics because those things could make the movie scary. Also watching a Technarchy draining the life force out a human and watching what happens to the body as the alien robots touches someone that could add some fear to the movie if they put it in there. Just remember things change I may be 0% saying I won't see it and while you are at a 100% chance of seeing it. So if the next trailer that comes out has something that catches my eye I would jump on bored and say will see but I would have few questions on how I will feel after leaving the theater.

I think it would be good if they add the the things from comic books that could make a horror movie. There are many things I came list from the New Mutants comic books that could make it horror. But nothing in this trailer looks like what I have in the comics but this is only the first trailer.

James Frank yes, how they handle material is so key. The fly was a horror, and a great movie really. Carrie. The thing. American werewolf in London. So some great movies came from only single person with "abilities". I see tons of potential here!!!

rugged english I don't know if you have read the comic books but I have said to myself again and again that Wolfsbane being a werewolf, Limbo or Hell, Magik and her Soul sword which are in the comics could make New Mutants into horror movie. But this is only the first trailer a better one could come out later maybe but I don't know. But that might not happen. Because from what I heard the people who like said that the elements in the comics are crazy and if that is ture then the horror elements that I have been thinking of will probably not be in the movie.

Because one of the team members became Valkyrie, they a flying horse and an Norse Asgard wolf prince in the comic book series I said that could use those things and make it into something mythological as well which is also something different. There is so much that could be done the this series it could be turned into many different things. There many different things that are in this comic books series that could turn anything with the title New Mutants on it into different directions. So is it okay to ask you what do you think of all the different new twist and turns the New Mutants could bring?

Fox can even do that make good movies all it comes down to having the right people working on it, a good story and few other things right about the movie then any company can make them good. Every movie company has a success and every movie company has a fail and no one can ever predict the future of how things could turn out. So it is unknown on how they would do? Even Marvel can have fails just like the other companies. There are good movies and there are bad movies but there is no such thing as a perfect movie and there never will be a perfect movie.

Rascal2006 I don't known with the movie's release date being moved and the people who are making the movie talking about following the same path as the movie Logan that has me worried. There are things that dictator of Logan James Mangold has said that worry me about the future of movies that follow in his footsteps. Mangold said the things he hates about movies are mercenarie, universes, franchises, after credit scenes, easter eggs and cameo. And according him when someone does that with a movie that means it sucks. James Mangold has even insulted movie fans and comic fans. He has called fans and other people who make movies or like those movies embarrassments. So I'm very worried that this path might lead more movie dictators to act just like him being rude to almost everything and being rude about almost everything.

darthrevan4570 A lot of us know that it is a Marvel movie made by Fox. While it is good to have a few changes to mix and shake things up a bit to see what get. But I think people behind the X-Men movies are going extreme so extreme that now they want to take a shot at NC17 superhero movies. So I would say that they probably don't have the right formulas.
