So are the Alps ARD Matt Black Reel Fittings On these rods cheap Fuji ones? I also thought Fuji were a respected Japanese brand? Looking it up they cost £50, Which is more than the price of my first rod In total. I thought these were bloody expensive when I ordered mine...

@@bellis8935 hi Bellis. Yes i have got the rods now, but havent had the chance to use them yet, for reasons like goverment lockdowns, weather and christmas... They are nice to look at tho... One bad thing i would say about them is this. As they are not cheap you worry about damaging them a lot more, well i do..

@@mastodonseven appreciate the reply. Yeah I fully understand that, wouldn’t surprised me if we go into another nation lockdown in following weeks. But back on the rods I agree with that, but they look like they will last a long time so I think I’ll do the purchase. Thanks

@@mastodonseven Yes, sounds like you need to relax a bit. Anglers have their own opinions about fishing gear, it isn't personal. The other thing I don't like about this range of rods is, they are a lot on the soft side for the TC ratings. For balance, I also don't think much of Fox rods, their spigot joints are the worst I have ever seen, you have to jam the tip on to make sure it doesn't work loose, then it becomes nearly impossible to take it apart.

@@Enpassantful what makes you think i need to relax? Bit on the soft side you say, but like you said people are different. Sure many would find that a great attribute for playing fish compared to something akin to a broomstick. But that would be hard to ascertain in a shop i suppose 🤷‍♂️ Like you rightly said people are indeed different. some people would think a higher TC means a better rod, even on a small still water.

@@Divingbigpete the rods are bye the bye im stating the obvious everyone connected with the company is a kid the tackle and clothing etc is aimed at a young sector of the market who buy any old tosh as long as its deemed to be in vogue and the new black ops rods are a total ripoff they are chinese mass produced items at handbuilt prices they cost 19quid each in china but then if your 19yrs old and your mate has the naff overpriced hoody and the 34quid tealight bivvy heater or the 12quid magnetic bivvy hook then u want it too because you are young and easily snared maybe im nit picking or maybe im just half sensible and realise no im not young and impressionable im going to buy quality tackle with my money because im a grown up

carp ecosse....spot on buddy. To be fair,the likes of Nash have always been good at spotting trends,and capitalising on them. This kiddy-carper thing is just another. It will run its course and then something else will take its place. The kids will likely get bored,or run out of cash,and move on. The one thing that won’t really change is the fish. They don’t give a shite what logo is on your kit,just the same as no particular logo will catch you more fish....it’s backside skill that matters and,in the end,that will separate the men from the kids😂
