Jelly, looks great!! I see that side seat piece still needs to handled delicately🤓. Man if I could get a shrunk down version for space im all over it 🤣🤣. Great review as always Michael!💪🏽
I do like how the tech wall and battle wall is optional, but I've always preferred the Turtle Van without the tech wall and battle wall since that's how it was seen in most episodes of the 1987 TV series.
I am huge fan of the toon line, and was super disappointed I missed the preorder window for this. I picked up the Super7 party wagon for my Ultimates turtles as a compromise. But this is the first review that has convinced me that I made the right choice in turtles van👍
@@ModernToyfare Definitely the most opportune time to get the brothers. I've been getting this line since that initial SDCC 8-pack, and have like five toon brother sets. Not sure if I'll be picking up these solo releases, just to get a few new accessories.
Sucks with everything I'm seeing in this video being echoed in the other reviews - regarding the plastic being flimsy/delicate. It's NECAs M.O. I mean not that I regret going with this one over the cheaper (and far more durable) Underground Arsenal one...but I'll certainly have to be extra delicate handling this thing.
I got mine, and was pretty disappointed. The drivers seat was rattling around in box because the glue gave out. The single hinges on all of the doors feel they are about to break….which makes putting that laser cannon on the door a non starter. It just feels very brittle all around. It looks great, and will take great pictures but the quality is far below my expectations. Just my opinion. You make it look phenomenal in your pics!
That's very fair. I agree it is pretty brittle. Hell look at the trouble I had getting those side and back doors open 😂. I guess I went into it expecting that to an extent because 9 times outta 10 that's necas MO with the toon and comic turtles. Anything with that matte finish is gonna be brittle and hard to pose. I wish they'd just do molded plastic for some stuff though. I like the look of it though and I feel like it has a good shelf presence. So it's very back and forth with me. Also thank you! I had a lot of fun messing around with it
@@ModernToyfare for the record this channel and your pics are criminally underrated! The time you put into this channel (which I know is ALOT of work) will payoff. You all have some high quality content!
@@andrewhaskins7092 thank you so much. It really means a lot to hear that. I do put a lot of work in so everyone's kind words keep me going. Hopefully it will one day pay off haha just gotta keep on chugging
I already have Paint Damage on the front doors near the Hinge point just from open/closing the doors a couple times. It was almost impossible to attach that flat molded Cannon to the Drivers side rear drop down door. The Hinges feel like they are one wrong look from breaking off. The whole thing feels incredibly cheap to me. I also have the UA van which in comparison feels more like a Retail Toy a Kid can play with. I wish NECA stuff wasn't so poorly made. Everything NECA I get either breaks or makes me afraid to touch it for fear it will break. Amazing Sculpts and Paint Apps but brittle like Glass.
