It seems very basic. The last one is huge and has more advanced stuff too?

Dark Uprising and the 2017 starter both have simplified rulebooks with Dark Uprising being more up to date but still doesnt have expansion info from the "House of ..." series. Dark Uprising has the same terrain and then some. I'm not sure I would call Dark Uprising more advanced it just has more stuff at a greater value if you can get it for its MSRP
