Enjoyed the reaction. Have you heard the news that Saki (guitarist house right) has just left the band to pursue a solo career? Nemophila has announced they'll continue as a four piece. Many fans believe they'll eventually bring in another guitarist. I'd like to see that as well. But official word as of now is that Hazuki will be handling all the guitar work moving forward. She's an excellent guitarist and more than capable. But I will certainly miss the duel guitar solos. Saki and Hazuki had such great chemistry together.

Many ways to pronounce Nemophila...but the ladies like to pronounce it neh-moe-fee-la. One of my favorite groups right now. Thanks for the reaction!

Neemo if you are American. Neh if you are from everywhere else including Japan. The band even joked about how Americans say it different to them when I saw them in Japan. Its a US remnant of a Disney movie about a finding a certain fish. However the band says it like the English interpretation so Its (correctly named) Neh-mophila. The scientific name for the blue and white flower with five petals representing as of last week (Saki left) each member of the band. The flower is also referred to as baby blue eyes. Its grown in massive fields during April/May at the Hitachi Seaside Park just north-east of Tokyo and thousands of tourists visit it every year.

Its a latin word for the flower (genus (Nemophila) of annual herbs of the waterleaf family chiefly of western North America that are cultivated for their showy blue or white sometimes spotted flowers.) hence their logo. Your very first pronounciation was correct then you changedit to the wrong one. Check the spelling their is no "ia" noun. ne·moph·i·la

Actually, the band name (as per how they say it), is NEE-Mo-Feel-ah or NEH-Mo-feel-ah, but the American pronunciation of the actual flower is Neh-MAU-fill-ah.

Neh-mo-fee-lah. There is no "i" at the end. The word Nemophilia does exist, and it means "forest lover," but nemophila (without the "i") is the name of a flower that grows natively in North America, but is an export to Japan in recent years.

Ne-Mo-Fee-La. it's the Japanese pronunciation of Nemophila, which in English is pronounced very differently. The Japanese pronounces every letter in a word, so they pronounce every letter in Nemophila. You'd love their pronunciation of Bear. Oh, Nemophila is a small blue 5 petal flower.
