Rowan is simply privileged and extremely lucky to have such prodigious talent behind them. A simply outstanding collection Arne & Carlos. Congratulations & well done! 👍🏻😃🧶❤️💯
I sense future arguments looming over ownership of those beautiful sweaters boys. You must learn to share. That’s when it becomes a problem when you are both a similar size. They are all beautiful. You should be really proud of your achievements.xAngela
I just wondered whether you use a single strand of felted tweed throughout the sweater and then when using the contrast colour you work with the both strands. If this is the case do the patterns stand proud as the fabric is thicker than the single stranded parts ? It doesn’t look like it does. I have made many Fairisle sweaters over the years and you always work with two strands throughout so the finished fabric is even in thickness. Just curious.xAngela
Here in New Zealand we girls love wearing footless tights (thicker than knit stockings) under longer sweaters or fabric shirts or sweatshirts. I reckon that most of your guys knitted sweaters would be great for us to wear with our tights and boots in New Zealand’s winters. Or over jeans. I love a longer jumper. Fab collection guys. I have been bingeing on you channel today. I see you are heading our way for a knitting cruise in 2020. If you had been heading to the Pacific Islands I would have gone with you but have seen most of NZ now that I’m retired and live on the road permanently in my Motor Home. Cheers Joce.
This holiday season a new film about Mr. Rogers (American children's show star) will make cardigan sweaters more in demand. He never had fancy designs, but we can thanks to you, Arne, Carlos, and Rowan.
Can you do a video on how to knit with your new color working technic? :D do you carry the acsent yarn all time or do it like on intarcia? The idea of knitting with two yarns is great! It gives nice sort of muted color, pattern looks like worn and vintage 😄
Could you please explain how to do the Vegärd pattern in the round? It is going to be a present for my son who was deployed. Thanks so much for your videos
Arne and Carlos - Honestly you two have outdone your usual enormous creativity with this collection! Everything is so beautiful. My very favorite is Turva, the red and gray! I wish there were a museum for knitting and crochet designs and you two would have collections in the Nordic heirloom division where these garments are cherished for many years. Thank you for so much inspiration! Very crisp and modern designs.
this is the most exciting men's knitting pattern collection that I've seen ... since ever. I've been resistant to knitting men's wear projects because so many patterns that you see for men are dull or same-old same-old. These are gorgeous, inventive and yet absolutely wearable. I'd wear any of them myself really happily.
The designs are wonderful. Carlos, the sweater with the 8 petal roses all over it and the turtle neck looks fantastic on you. It really shows how handsome you are.
Beautiful collection! Rowan are so privileged to have you both! Cannot wait to go to John Lewis Newcastle to look at Rowan and the yarns! Thank you so much! Xx 🇬🇧🥰
I am so glad that you are calling these sweaters, "Unisex Sweaters". Now, I will try to decide which sweater pattern to begin knitting. The sweaters are beautifully designed with lovely color patterns. Thank you. (After finish knitting the perfect socks, I just finished a Christmas Ball.........so much fun to knit!)
Ditto what Elizabeth said: "What a beautiful collection"! Arne, you must wear the one you modelled - the graffiti-ripped-down one, or however you described your inspiration (which is genius and beyond most people - we just don't see those things). Carlos, loved the grey and red one on you. Great job guys!!!
Love watching you two. I am not advanced enough as a knitter to knit the unisex sweaters but with more feminine necks and neckline. Please consider putting out these patterns with feminine tweaks to them. I love your videos.
Another beautiful day in your greenhouse ! The collection is really nice, my favorite's are the gray and red that Carlos modeled and the "bleeding " rose that Arne modeled but they are all very unique. That's an interesting technique for colour work. thank you for sharing, have a wonderful week, I hope it stays nice weather so you can enjoy your garden !
I love the Thorvald pattern. Nice work. The blue layered sweater looks like leaves that have been dried in a book and partially flaked away. Love the colors.
What a beautiful collection! I can’t choose a favorite this time. I have always wanted to knit a scarf that way but I worried about using multiple circular needles, afraid I would drop stitches. I am crocheting a blanket like that though with many colors and it’s beautiful. Carlos, you look better than the model because of your hair color.
I`m enjoying this video a year after it was released - I bought the book and all the patterns are gorgeous! I took on the cowl and also knitted it in felted tweed. IF...you don`t already have homes for any of these sweaters, I would be more than happy and HONORED to adopt one and wear it with pride!!!!!
Beautiful designs. I don't knit but somehow found your channel. I can't stop watching. Peaceful location and I love your personalities. I think learning to knit will be on my goal list!
Thank you so much for the tip on using a strand of mohair to work the colorwork/intarsia. The sweater collection and the Rowan yarn are stunning. Congratulations.
I love all the sweaters you have there. The last 2 are my favourite with your new color work technique! I would like to give it a try but happy to see that you will be doing a video on it as I have no clue how that would be done! As always thank you! ❤️
Decades ago-way back in the 70s and 80s I had a habit of sneaking some of my dad’s sweaters. “Boyfriend” fit sweaters, for me, have always been in style. My favorite was a pale blue-grey mohair cardigan, which was a little itchy. As with all fashion, a little discomfort is outweighed by how awesome you feel while wearing a favorite garment. You guys have created some beautiful items and inspire me even more to learn to knit. I’m still exploring crochet, but my grandma’s knitting needles are definitely calling to me after watching this video.
Talk about modern colour-work! You guys have nailed it with those last two sweaters. However, I have to admit; I didn't get the laying technique but will look it up- those sweaters are on my to knit list now.
I don’t know what I enjoyed more - the designs or all the things you said! I love to learn about the background of the patterns, your thoughts about the garments and colours and the view of the lake is as spectacular as your modeling! ❤️
Congratulations on a very exciting line! 👏 You can tell that you had a lot of fun coming up with these very artistic designs...truly fab! I agree with you, As a woman I have no issue making/wearing any of these unique pieces. You know that if you wear any of these designs that you will be stopped and asked where you got them. JOB WELL DONE 😍
The model in the book, both of you, and the dummy. These pieces show off beautifully on each and everyone. Congratulations on another home run collection!!
You have a very nice collection of sweaters! I'm knitting my first sweater now. I chose a solid color and simple pattern to start, hoping one day I can get to color work. I'm enjoying it alot. Have a peaceful Sunday.
A stunning collection to say the least. Bliss! I enjoyed the reference to King Knut, as I did my research paper for English Legal History class in law school on King Knut. He ruled Norway, along with Denmark and England, for a few years around 1035. Knut's kingdom was called the North Sea Empire. So for that sentimental reason I choose "Knut", the beautiful yoke-patterned sweater, as my favorite piece from this collection. For my own use though, I'd choose the layered-color sweater, loving its blurred rose pattern & colorway and awaiting your video on the technique.
Hi Arne, and Carlos. I love your designs, as always is a pleasure to see you, although you live so far away, I feel like you both are part of my family of the heart, I liked all the sweaters, for different reasons, but the last one that Arne put on, I liked it because of the bright colors in contrasts with the Grey. Thank you is always a pleasure to see you, it feels like as you come to visit me, in my house. As We Mexicans say in Spanish, Mi casa es tu casa! (Carlos can you please? Translate this to Arne.) Hugs to both.
Thank you for this beautiful collection. Yes, you two are very kind. I love my Sunday afternoons watching you two, you alway bring a smile to me. I agree that these designs could be unisex. I loved Jens, Knut and Vidar. Back in the early 89’s I knitted Loopy (Icelandic) sweathers for my children. I still have the patterns. I think my grandkids might like them. I think I might like one of the sweathers from one of your collections for myself. I just finished 5 quilts for Christmas presents, now I’m knitting socks using your Pairfect line. Love watching the colours. Thank you for all you do and all that you inspire. Have a great week 🧶🧶🇨🇦
Hi Arne and Carlos, what a beautiful collection and congratulation, you guys are so talented. Lol, I love your good sense of humour. Don't change and take care.
Hi Gentlemen , This is an exciting collection!!!! I am going to buy this book immediately. My son will be very happy with all the knitting possibilities this collection offers my time, lol. My daughter, and I ,myself will get a new sweater out of your creative designing energies. Until your next video - enjoy the fall weather. Emily
Hi Arne and Carlos! :) I LOVED watching your video from your greenhouse! I absolutely ADORE all you've shown. It's impossible to pick just one. Yes, they are all unisex. None are exclusively men's or women's designs. I always look forward to Sundays as I know you will have a great video to share! Please have a wonderful upcoming week!
The tan sweater looks to me trees morphs into snowflake ground love this design. The modern sweater with the mohair looks very modern simple design like the mottled texture very nice with kidsilk haze. I think this is wonderful very nice.
Your new designs are magnificent. Absolutely beautiful. There’s such depth of thought and imagination to how you bring them to life. I just love your videos and always such a joy to see you both. Thank you 😍🧶🦋👏🍷🌎🌹🧶🧣🧤❤️🌹🦋😊🌺🌼🧤🧶🦋🌎🥂🍾
I sure do like the blue w/the white "snowflake" on the front that Arne modeled... & the last one he wore is so cool ! Love the design. You guys looked super in all the sweaters....great designs, fellas ! Your greenhouse looks so quaint & a nice place to hang out.
These are such wonderful designs. I believe you have definitely achieved your design goals to make garments fresh and trendy. The color work technique you suggested are so inspiring!
Here in New Zealand we girls love wearing footless tights (thicker than knit stockings) under longer sweaters or fabric shirts or sweatshirts. Wow, I love allllll of the collection and would wear all of these, especially the first blue and white stripe sweater, the grey turtle neck and loved the yoke sweater! The whole collection just beautiful!!! I do like when you model them, makes a big difference! Thanks both for sharing your Rowan collection!!! Love you Arne & Carlos! 🤗💗🤗
Hi Lovely Arne and Carlos, what a truly stunning collection, I think the designs are definitely unisex-they are all very lovely to look at. I think you are both much more handsome than the model in the knitting book (no disrespect to the young man). Arne I think you suit all the colours just like Carlos. As always Lovely Friends you make a Sunday evening really special and always make me smile. Sending you all my love and big hugs xxxxxxxx Dorothy 🙋🏻😘😘❤️❤️🌟🌟
Goood you can't see me ! I am hopping up and down, cleppong my hands : Holy, hopping hamster ! This is magnificent !!!! This shows how knitting can really be art ! The sweater with the "running" roses , for instance, surely ought to be in a museum for modern art :-)
Oh I must say this a very impressive collection! And...OMG what a knitter’s dream! How interesting! And fun! ❤️❤️ Love it all!!! Thank you so much!✌🏻❤️🧶🍾
You two are so darling together. I agree with Arne, I thought the model in the book was Carlos as well, until you said otherwise. :) Gorgeous, gorgeous, collection. I am very intrigued by the layered colorwork and will definitely check out the patterns you designed. I may wait for the booklet. Their were so many I loved, it would make sense to get them all in once group! Have a wonderful week.
oh wow!!!! I absolutely adore the 'new' colourwork. My mind is in absolute overdrive now thinking of all the way to do this technique. Thank you soooo much for showing and talking about this in detail. Love love love all your new patterns. Certainly a modern twist on the Norwegian colourwork and all of the garments and accessories look fabulous. My favourite? The Vegard for sure. My colours (Navy and Rust) and the fact you dissected the 8 leaf rose was brilliant.
This collection is so beautiful! I wish I were good enough to knit one. Perhaps I just lack the confidence. Thanks for sharing your collection with us. I hope you have a great week! Love you guys. Dorinda
I like the entire collection; my favorite was the last one. I love the inspiration of the torn flyers and the technique that you developed. I will definitely give it a try! Thank you~
Like all your work those patterns are absolutely stunning! I can't knit, 😔I only crochet. It would be impossible to choose a favorite if I could knit I'd have to try them all.❤
