10:57, You can't make global Spectate because how the game is crated, it only uploads information about whats happening around the map only when you are close to it, because otherwise all information about the mobs,npcs,players etc. would need to be stored either in VRAM if possible or RAM in much grater capacity than it is now.

Solution to the Spector thing, could just make it so the item turns your character invisible and allows you to move in a similar fashion to the free cam but without restricting the range. Shouldn’t be an issue as far as I can see since they heavily moderate the item’s holders and usage as is.

I'm a Guildwars 2 player. I look at this and think "Pearl abyss devs should play 5 minutes, FIVE MINUTES of Gw2's World vs World to learn how to make a decent large scale pvp". It's crazy how dumb this is.

@@Tory-JJ You couldn't be more wrong. Both games are very VERY VERY far from dead. Both games are releasing expansions and new regions every 1-2 years. Both games has a fucking ton of people playing. Just because YOU don't like the current pvp scene in these two games it does not mean it's dead. Name me ONE MMORPG that is balanced and has no meta. Also both games are always changing class balance trying to achieve a better balance.

How do i play NW when I’m an anti social solo player?

I have been playing in top RU pvp guild since 2019 and during this time I have seen a lot of different changes in node wars. Now our server is in wild degradation of siege guilds, most of them will soon look exactly the same as the guilds in Korea. Even large alliances of 150 people are forced to fight on nodes limited to 50 people and this is due to an attempt to find a 100% fight. On such nodes we have 10-15 forts - capturing a node is not so important as an interesting and long fight. Current nodes cause problem with their monotony, which could be changed simply by changing some nodes in days and limits as PA promised. What the developers are proposing now looks terrible, it will simply finish off pvp completely.

after seeing all the changes they are obviously attempting to kill pvp in this game without removing it directly. Not sure why but if I had to bet they make more money from pvp not being in the game. It is the only thing that makes sense

Everybody who doesn't pvp knows that the pvpers are the single biggest source of toxicity in this game. They are the ones constantly filling server chat with negativity. They are the most likely to be perma red and griefers, which is how it really affects the game unfortunately. My guild(s) takes in and cares for new/casual players, that's our thing, the biggest issue other than getting the hang of the game is "pvpers" ruining their fun and being toxic AF. The amount of times we got deced because some pathetic person who's red was looking for a reaction from a low level/new player, to just then grief and harass groups of people. And ofc the multiple times we beat them down in defense, they just get more toxic because they are that fragile of people. Must suck knowing all these MMOs don't care about their pvpers, and the ones that do are still basically dead in the scene. Almost like it's a sign.

@@carlyband1730 Open world PVP will always bring about toxicity because you lose when you die, people do not like losing. I mainly PVE in BDO and I have no problem with people who go red and PVP, take any other MMO Open world PVP is usually a core part of the game and it should be allowed, BDO should NOT get rid of red players and I hate to see them even more being restricted in their gameplay because of people like you claiming its "ruining players fun" the game literally markets itself as a open world action combat game and they show off their classes and what each can do way more than they show boring life skill gameplay. In a game with this kind of combat system not including PVP would be a massive blunder and PA either realizes this or their game dies. Only specific targeting of players should be punishable, simply killing someone for their grind spot is a completely valid thing to do and should be part of the game, it's what makes the game 10x more exciting.

what if node wars were 3 guilds and instead of attacking the fort to claim it make it have a range that as long as there people of that guild on it then they contribute to claiming it, and if a guild has 10 people on the fort while the other guilds have 2 ppl and the third has 4 then the guild with the 10 people are the Defenders while the other 2 are the attackers, think of it like a percentage guild A has 55% uptime on the fort zone with 10 players alive and defending, while Guild B has 25% and Guild C has 20% and they both are trying to fight Guild A then it at the end of the specified time (1 hour that Pearl Abyss Wants) ends the guild with the most Contribution Percentage of Occupying the zone Gets the node.

They use it as an item and are extremely strict about who get the item and the usage of the item because that spectate feature can be exploited. Even if a streamer use it and one of the participating guilds finds out and get somebody to watch your stream and then rely information to their guildmates to win, it is still called exploiting. Even if it is done without the knowledge of the streamer. But they are so strict about usage and availability so that ill-intended streamers won't abuse it and then feign ignorance. That's why you were told that when you were given the item. And they won't give you the item permanently simply because others can abuse it by watching your stream. They will know you regularly stream nodewars and they will stream-snipe trying to win.

Fact that FT dont go down when u destroy Fort is nice edition ngl. This way u can counter and make enemy guild bleed. BTW u pay 500m for one FT. So its good it stays up till its destroyed. Makes worth the money.
