Interesting review Jeremy. (Hadn't seen much from you lately, so hope all is well.) The literally lite price feels very competitive, as it's cheaper than the 4K versions of Facecam and Kyro. And the user gains a gimbal! As a main proponent of the *Old Sony Alpha plus 'artisan lens* solution, how do you think the 1080 image quality compares? It's crazy that a tiny device can now casually do 4k and gimbal, whereas the old alphas were bleeding edge 1080. So it's 4K/gimbal/small sensor vs 1080/any lens/larger sensor...? Obviously those who really need gimbal and hands free pick the modern device, but for stationary haed shot how does the quality compare?
@@45KevinR You can't really compete with an APS-C or full frame camera on image quality alone. It really depends. As a plug and play webcam with quality that 98% of people will think is top notch, this can fit that bill. If you're looking for photographer or studio quality, then you need a large sensor and decent quality optics stack. But those are clunkier to set up, more fidgety and there's no gimbal or autotracking. The proper camera is like a truck and the webcam is like a compact hatchback.
I preferred the color balance of the Lite over the T2. It's a nice 'sort of budget' option. Basically, it's like the price of a good still 4k webcam, but adds a gimbal (the mic isn't great though).
Awesome video, thank you for all your efforts. In my country i found insta360 link and obsbot tiny 2 lite cost almost the same price, which one do u think i should go with please ? I would appreciate ur opinion
Both are great. If prices are identical, then the Insta360 has a few more features and a slightly sharper image from my tests. It does need a lot more time spent image tuning in my setup and I prefer the tracking speed on the OBSBOTs, but I think the Insta360 is capable of a slightly better picture and since I don't use the tracking often and have consistent lighting, I'd optimize for the image quality.
Image quality is super similar in my opinion. If you don't plan to use the automatic tracking pan tilt zoom, I'd probably go with the MX Brio. If you need the tracking, then I'd get the OBSBOT Tiny 2 LITE tbh, because it's about the same price as the MX Brio and I thought it had a great image, it doesn't do hand tracking for Whiteboard and few other software/firmware tracking features, but has 90% of the Tiny 2 more expensive camera.
I'm not happy with mine that I got today appears to be recording but all I get is black screen with audio. I tried updating the software and it always fails at 28% even why I try to do a manual install. To say the least I'm not happy.
I'm sorry, you may have received a defective unit. My very first OBSBOT Tiny PTZ 4K was defective, but their aftersales support was really good. I've bought 4 OBSBOT cameras since then and all have been good.
@@osvaldoverduzco3900 That was my mistake. I had it in my notes, but didn't state the OBSBOT Tiny 2 (not Lite) sensor size verbally, it's 1/1.5". The Insta360 Link is also 1/2".
Hey man: Do you think this cámara is better than the iPhone 13 Pro using epocam? Im worried about delay in the iPhone but i think is better than any webcam
iPhone Pro's especially have incredible cameras. The biggest downside is the convenience of setting them up, mounting them, etc. Your iPhone will create an equal or better quality image imo, but I lose patience myself getting the phone running compared to webcam or mirrorless camera with capture card and dummy battery.
@@DeployJeremy Im considering using it like my main webcam. I would buy anotathrr phone. You think tahts a good idea? Imor do you think theres a better webcam out there?
Yes. I'd start with that, pay the $8 for Epoccam if you haven't yet (because it sounds like you're using it now). Get a separate microphone and see how it goes. If you get serious and do want a noticeable jump in quality, then I'd save up for a Sony ZV-E10 or similar APS-C camera with your preferred lens. I like my Viltrox 24mm F1.4.
@DeployJeremy @cabisports I can help with this. On my iPhone 13 Max, Epocam was pretty good. On my 15 Pro max, its tricky. I don't think they have updated the app for the USB port. I can get it to work but sometimes it acts up. The picture is good but you are locked at 1080p 60fps. It works pretty well though, especially in OBS. I dont want to self promote but my last video was shot 100% with it in OBS. I didn't use LUTs or color correction. Im looking at the Obspot because I lean alot due to health and wind up out of frame. I like the idea of 4K but wish it was 60fps. I think only the elgato facecam pro does that and Im not paying $300 for a webcam. Hope that helps.
