Had a Obsessed Garage youtube member give me the thumbs up on my plate frame as he rolled down his window and said, " Obsessed Garage bro !! Nice " just last week. Thanks Matt for the dialed in plate frame.
And of course all the bolts are tightened symmetrically! In the UK our plates are lightweight perspex so you can use double sided body trim tape to fix for a really clean look with no bolts or screws (or any sort of frame!)
Might have to pick one up! I’ve always had plate frames because I hate the raw metal plate edges showing. And I agree about the frames that block stuff. In 1999 age 19 I was pulled over by a cop on my way back to college campus because he said my plate frame obscured the county name. He then took that opportunity to body search me and rummage through my car, my dirty laundry; in the trunk where I had 4 wheels and tires I was selling. He was a jackhole for sure.
I clicked on this video only because I had to see how you made a video about a different type of plate frame 16 minutes and 21 seconds. I don’t even live in the US so I can’t actually use the thing but I was not disappointed.
Hey Matt what's that blue 3 ft hose u sale in your website I plan on buying the mosmatic gun wand and canon package I appreciate all the hard work you do for the car crazy obssesed thanks
Hey bro, I need your advice. Got my brand new 991.2 GT3 on december 21 2017, and it came with Dunlop tyres? I only drove it for 3 weeks, very lightly as Im in Scotland and it was freezing so roads were slippery. Then went back to work offshore in the middle east and home tomorrow. So, basically... im going to hammer it and want to know the best tyres for dry use only. Dont know why they gave me Dunlops?. I see most GT3 come with michelin sport pilot 2's. My last 911 turbo had N3 rated tyres for high G forces. Anyway, rumour is that my 991.2 GT3 is faster round a circuit that your GT3 RS. Regardless, I respect your passion brother, and appreciate all your videos. Just wondering if you have any thoughts on my dunlops??? I cant give a verdict on the dunlops as not pushed the car yet, next few days will answer some questions and will post. Thanks again bro, G
I may pick one up. I have the dealer frame on my Focus ST because the plate vibrates if I don't have one and my alma mater frame was utter shit. I like the way this one looks.
I'd love to see a quality lightly tinted plate cover that matches up well with the plate frame. I'm not sure you've ever looked into them but all the ones I've ever bought just seem to be of the cheapest quality.
Of course, I still want it visible. That's why I like the lightly tinted variants of the plate covers. I just think it finishes the look off when all the windows and other things like side markers, etc. are tinted. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but I like the look.
Matt, if you want a good product to make your plate screws disappear check these out lockum.com/product/the-mini-black-phantom/ I have used them on my last 3 cars and they are great.
