I love these trucks, not to old, not to new, they’re just the perfect amount of tech, not that having new things ins bad. It’s just the right amount of modern and old stuff where it’s easy to work on and understand, cheap, simple, effective, good looking, transportation and fun.
So detailed orientated. Alot of asmr vibes. Love it! I just bought a truck like my first one i had new back 20 years ago. I dont want to wait until I retire to get that loving feeling back!
That's a beautiful truck man and I love that the video was straight to the point. Will defiantly archive for future references. Should be getting started on my own carpet install soon for a 95 chevy 1500 extended cab :)
I have one of these trucks in almost (not quite) as good shape as yours. I have the tendency to catch and release trucks but I cannot bring myself to let this one go, they are so simple and so functional!
dont ever do that! the magic eraser is like super fine sand paper. you'd be damaging the leather that way, just use any car leather cleaner. i like using maguire's leather wipes for my leather steering wheel.
I had my 2002 Silverado built to order when I was stationed in Japan. The general reliability of power windows/ locks I noticed growing up gave me zero faith in them so mine is also all manual down to underwhelming NV3500. My truck is also well kept so it's amusing to see the looks on people's faces when they get into my truck for the first time. Everyone and I definitely mean EVERYONE seems to be so used to power accessories it's assumed every vehicle has it. The 1999 and up body style is modern looking enough it further reinforces that stereotype in their heads. So walking up to it they assume I hit the unlock button on my key fob and reach for the handle and pull back and get this confused look on their face, some seem to think maybe I just need to try it again. I'm generally in the truck by that point and reaching over to unlock it. Maybe some are led on because I have an alarm which means a key fob to go with. The sad part is seeing younger people being largely inept at rolling a Windows up or down. My 8 year old is going to be one of the few in his generation to be able to roll a window up or down.
That is funny, good to hear you're still taking good care of your old truck. I do have to say the manual windows and locks are great until you have to reach over and roll the passenger side window down while you're driving!
Interior goals right thare. Except Im staying with my short console now all I need to do is convert my seats to leather. And find a way to use the power door panels with the manual window crank.
i was wondering if the middle console was aftermarket or came with the truck? i have a 2005 chevy silverado and the center is just an extra seat that can’t be foldedd down, would love to see if i can swap it out with a middle console of some sort. great video, truck looks amazing!
This truck came with the non folding middle seat, I swapped in the full console. Any of the consoles from 99-06 can be used and even ones from newer trucks will fit. This particular console was a factory option for a lot of 03-06 trucks, it is not aftermarket, and it bolts right in like factory.
Thanks man. The carpet, floor mats and a couple other parts were brand new from the dealer. The seats have a leather upholstery kit from leatherseats.com and the rest of the parts are original or parts I picked up from trucks in junkyards.
I can not find anywhere to buy new seats for a 2004 GMC sierra. I put it into goggle and the only thing that comes up is f seat covers. Could you point me in the right direction maybe?
I did get this one from my Chevy dealer. This specific carpet might be the only one you can still get from the dealer, I don't think the extended cab ones are available anymore.
I'll trade you my 2012 Silverado 4.8 V8, single cab, standard size regular bed, 2 wheel drive, K & N cold air intake, 40 series flowmaster single in single out, badass sound system, everything besides what i just said is factory OEM and battery and brake shoes fronts only, it's Victory Red, needs nothing. And a little bit of cash on my end, whatdya say ?
Here is a link to gmpartsdirect I would check at your local dealer though because they charge way too much for shipping. www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-floor-cover-15807287
Watched this video along with some of your other uploads and was very impressed with the simplicity, knowledge, and the remote shifter in the console. As well as the ease of reinstallation in this video. It makes me want to redo the interior of my Lb7. Absolutely love it man.
We don't deserve this video it's too pure for this world. I am definitely going to take apart my entire interior and fix all the rattles and put sound dampening now.
@@Jeff-jr3sg Man let tell you, I was getting so annoyed with all the rattles, I basically started fixing each and everyone one. The biggest one yet it's the actual truck hahah
My favorite part of that beautiful truck is definitely the giant, unobstructed back glass! I learned to drive and tow in an 01 Silverado, so this video was extremely nostalgic for me.
