Replace the 8 nec/tokin capacitors with tantalum capacitors will fix the problem as with toshibas laptops the ps3 will fail from those bad capacitors used from the mid 2000s
After doing a quick Google search I found out that from my understanding it's impossible to swap PS3 hard drives because once it is taken out of its original system the new system doesn't recognize it as its own and requires it to be formatted unfortunately. This kind of screws people because if they have a broken console with saved games there's no way to get them off from my knowledge at this point. If anybody knows anything feel free to share your tips!
