This is the kind of song that can make a kid stop and think about life in general. It might start when he realizes that a song like this will never come on the radio because it's too long to play commercials and ad jingles around. Back when the Low Life album came out I also had it on tape and listened to it on my walkman on the train travelling from The Netherlands to France to be with my then girlfriend. Back then I knew exactly how many times I had to listen to both sides on a loop before my train arrived in Nancy railway station. That was long, long ago but listening to this track today took me back in time. To France, to Nancy and Vittel. And to Marie.
