I originally thought it was Gillian: her voice is brilliant though I don't think she thinks highly of her voice. I'd love to hear Gillian sing on NO album
Great to see Elly back on stage and New Order on tour....I love the fact Phil is in the band too....saw Marion loads of times...such a tragedy they crashed and burned ...so chuffed for him he's found a home in a top Manchester outfit !
Amazingly excellent performance. I wondered how these fantastic new songs would have sounded live and here's how: Steve is still a human drum machine, Gillian is a driving force and there's a perfect synergy between Phil and Tom which is a truly superb bassist!
+fullgas She's fantastic in these tracks and I'm sure a lot of these great keyboards we haven't heard since Technique have to do with his return to form.
+fullgas her synth work and creative partnership with Steve have been integral to New Orders best work. They sound better than they have in years, great to see her back.
Love the attitude of La Roux , she's mint, And this track kicks arse, also, a great artist all rounds musically. The track at 15:30 has the lot, Disco undertones, some piano house, a hint of indie Rock , electronic and some funk, classic material.
Please tour Melbourne, Australia again....I miss you guys! Love the new album by the way....especially the songs with La Roux on support vocals. Truly happy to hear from New Order I've been a fan for a long time
Bernard, it's been nearly 7.5 years since you released New Order's last studio album which was probably the best album in a long time from New Order. It's now February 2023 and I really think it's about time for another studio album of similar style if you have any such plans.🤞🙏😎 A fantastic idea to include La Roux for your live performance of Tutti Frutti at BBC Maida Vale studios. Peter Hook has gone but I think that under the circumstances, because you both had very different ideas about what sort of style of music New Order should be doing, it's for the best. Good luck to Peter in his future Venture. Best of luck to Bernard and the rest of New Order I hope that sometime over the next few years we hear some new material from the band.
La Roux gives New Order something that was badly missing. I have to say Tom Chapman had big shoes to fill but the band sound great even without Hooky. Reborn. Had given up on them as a live act after the Troxy show. Thought the set was tired and samey. But it's back to Brixton after seeing this. It's bizarre how Blue Monday just gets better and better the older it gets.
This song blows blue Monday out of water fantastic. Album the best yet and as for ppl going on bout hooky fuck him n.o don't nerd him infact he was dragging the band down and chapman is way better and Bernard don't need to play guitar. On this song Phill Cunningham is an amazing guitarist
