My husband recorded those frogs....Kevin Monahan. He created the first sound library for musical keyboards - Cure used Emulators. The frogs 'lived' in Santa Cruz near 7th street and the beach. They were very happy frogs. It was recorded on one of the first 'portable' semi-pro cassette players, owned by my friend Rob Schafer, whose father, Paul Schafer, started 'radio automation' with computers and cassettes. Isn't technology fun. Nice mix.
i think what made NEW ORDER'S unique, very, very original sound so great was how they combined cutting edge synth-tech with their very, very human tallents as real musicians with real instraments...
I routinely listen to this remix in my office (home to my 2 Australian tree frogs) and they croak along to it! The Perfect Kiss is my most favorite song - ever!
I love how you framed your composition by including those delightful frogs in the intro...we all loved those frogs- probably the coolest thing on SUBSTANCE 1987...*c r o a k * :)
Love Vigilantes? Face Up? any New Order song will do. I really like how you add your own remixing into the song that is still very New Order-ish. In fact, you could probably write your own songs copying New Order's style.
Blaine Heggie Oh I forgot I have Face Up almost done, just wasn't happy with it so left it. Also Procession and World half done so guess I should finish them all off :) I have done so many of my own songs over the years and not one of them sounds New Order-ish, which is odd considering how much I love them lol. And thanks for always commenting on my vids, means a lot knowing they are enjoyed :)
