I live in a one-bedroom apartment. It is not a luxury rental whatsoever. Very basic, but well-organized and clean. My furniture came from Habitat for Humanity Restore, not new or name-brand. I am planning a blog and video series just for my specific demographic because I know I am not the only one. Very nervous about it because I expect alot of negative judgment, but I decided I am proud of what I DO HAVE. I am just going for it!
I agree, I think we get so hung up on looking like architectural digest and forget we live REAL lives. Especially when I was in my 20s I thought I needed to have this perfect instragram worthy home. Now I realize, that small simple houses can be beautiful and functional.
Darcy L couldn't agree more. We have an old home and it was hard for awhile to be happy with it because everyone around me bought new homes or renovated theirs and we couldn't afford either. I never realized how something as simple as organizing what I have can make me feel so much better about my surroundings. It looks so put together. It's great.
I used an old kleenex box for bad batteries too, so I can dispose them properly. For bags I use old lysol wipe containers and bring them to the car. I had something spill on the kleenex box when I used it for bags and had to throw it all out. That's why I thought to use the lysol wipe containers. I also use them for toys- as water slides lol I tape them together and my kids love it.
Heather K yes my daughter taught me how to tie those plastic bags up so they are small and you just pull it apart to expand them. She then showed me to store them in an empty Kleenex box too!
I have a 'sleeve' for plastic bags. It's a pretty cotton fabric with elastic at the top and bottom. A loop hanger on top. I keep it hung from an over-the-door hook. It holds tons of bags.

Our entire home is 300sq ft .. After so many years living w so little storage this video has inspired me to clear everything out that we no longer need and discover that the space we have is enough 😊 Thankful and Blessed ♥️🕊️

I thourghly enjoy your videos. I love watching cleaning motivation videos- they really work to motivate me. So many of these videos are all glammed up people cleaning glamorous homes that aren’t even really dirty to begin with. You give such good tips and really speak to my heart. Hey Sandra! My kitchen has that space above the cabinets and I decorate it with white ceramic such as serving dishes, cake stands, water pitchers, extra large bowls and the like. It's functional AND pretty! And if you want to add a little something, you can add greenery like artificial vines and topiaries. My preference is for green plants only... no additional colors/flowers.

Kathryn, i’ve got to tell you that your positive attitude makes me feel so much better! It really is all about your attitude when it comes to organizing and being successful in life in general. I always go into organizing with the mindset of “UGH!” But you make it look easy! I can’t wait to buy some of those pot lid organizers and make my own Cabinet spinner. It also really helps me some days to hear that I am enough ❤.
Unfortunately, Hawaii doesn’t have a dollar store. So I’ve been very creative by buying at goodwill and Salvation Army to find stuff for storage. Your ideas suggestions are awesome. Blessings
My challenge are the plastic storage containers and lids. I have so many. I keep them to share food with the family and to freeze meals for me. They take up a lot of space.
I appreciate your friend allowing us to see firsthand how this event went along from start to finish. I like her have a kitchen almost exactly the same. I started decluttering. It has been a bigger task then I thought. I commend you for getting it done all in one day. LOL! Not here. I'm new to your videos and loved the first 3 I ran into, the Wallmart finds, the dollar tree diys but not too sure about this one. I think yr friend has a bigger kitchen than most and just needed a bit of reorganization. Nice popular ideas but nothing new and now she has a cluttered counter with a coffee station... love yr enthusiasm.
“You’re not really drinking alone if your cat is home.” sign 🤣 ... I previous actually had a lazy Susan - but I got fed up with her and got a new girlfriend. ... My space is even smaller. The challenge is making the microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dish drain, etc disappear. ... Adding a pantry-like cabinet is difficult as they’re all too deep!
I never like people's videos because they're either boring or too much talking. I love your video, you are such a great inspiration for me, you're a great friend, I love the kitty and I'm a little jealous of the "you're not really drinking alone if your cat is home" I wish so bad I had the same 😻👍

Wonderful and inspiring video! LOVE the "real home" part, since I also live in an apartment. LOVE also the Dollar Tree videos - I live on a small SS check. I hate to be the one to tell you that the drawer under the oven is meant to keep things warm until you need them.
Oh, I wish you could come to my house and help me in my postage stamp-sized kitchen. I have only two tiny drawers! The cabinets don't fit the space. But this is all I've got and have to make it tolerable. Thank you so much for the organizational tips and products. Love her videos. My kitchen is smaller than this but I've learned to think outside the box. I got a four drawer filing cabinet and store all my pots and pans. Small pots in top drawer, medium in the second drawer, frying pans in the third, and large pots in the bottom drawer. Doesn't take up much space and stores tons of pots and pans.
First off, as a trans man, thank you for not being judgmental- it means a lot to the trans community when we are just accepted as we are. Also, you did a great job with their kitchen! It looks functional, inviting, and I love that the purrito was there to oversee things 😂
