This is Coach John from San Diego and I just wanted to say Thanks again for the Bourbon Street Bar & Grill get together ! Everyone there had a blast ! It was good to get the Win Saturday night. I also agree there is a lot to clean up and get straightened out. The 1st Team Offense was not good ! The O Line did not perform well at all ! Trevor Penning is Struggling ! Is it time for the Saints to realize they the made another Draft mistake ? I also expected more from Chase Young in this game ! AT Perry looks like a Gamer ! During my years of Coaching I had a few Players that practiced well but when the pressure of the Bright Lights were on they didn’t rise to the occasion. I also had Players that practiced up and down daily but when it was time to Battle they stepped it up ! AT Perry is that kind of player ! Austin Jr. also made some plays as well as Nacua ! Calloway didn’t last long ! His lack of Speed was against him ! Shaq Davis is back ! He gained some muscle and hopefully he added some burst and experience when he was with the Eagles ! The Wide Receiver situation is going to be interesting for the next few weeks ! Willie Gay also played a great game ! His size and speed will make a difference with our Defense ! Jamal Williams played well too ! I know it is the 1st Game in Preseason but I did see some Positives ! Rattler showed some poise ! The Winning Kick was amazing considering the circumstances for Smyth ! In all it was a good Win for the Who Dat Nation ! The 49ers joint practices have been cancelled ! The Injury Bug has caught them too ! Enjoy your Day Off tomorrow guys and go see the So Cal Experience ( The Beach , Santa Monica , Hollywood etc ) ! Watch out for the Traffic and these So Cal Drivers !

There are MANY teams that ran Vanilla Offenses with New players and new coaches but THEY had success moving the football and scoring points. Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams, JJ MCcarthy, Bo Nix ALL lead there New teams with NEW coaches and NEW offense but they didn't run 9 plays and get 1 first down and average 3 yards per play.
