yep, clear win for the O8. Xmaxx didn't do bad though. My jaw dropped when I saw how bent that driveshaft was and it still put on quite the show! I have high hopes for that Rig. Xmaxx should be getting nervous lol

I'm glad I picked up 2 outcast exb's during that sale and a vendetta for s&g. It didn't look like we were going to ever receive our orders but most came through. Some people who placed orders to late didn't get the exb rollers or the vendetta

There was some guy trying to cut the catalytic converter off my truck. I got out my 8S Kraton, snuck out my back door and launched it straight at him. Knock the S.O.B out cold. I got a nice cordless brushless Mikita reciprocating saw and he got a ride in an ambulance and then a trip to jail. Cop said he got 9 stitches. Damn I love this hobby.
Was that after fixing both bulkheads and the broken rear shock in the last round, and now two bent driveshafts and a knackered servo yet the outcast won deluded!!!!!!

Haha yes I’m fine. I get showered with gravel a lot when we make these videos. I try to stay back out of the danger ⚠️ zone and keep my mouth shut 😂🤣 so my teeth don’t get hit haha. I’m fine.✅💥👍😊 my hat took most of it. You do have to be careful with all that gravel flying!

@@3DMOFO2020 this is true ! I generally stay away in the safe zone but Rocky and I were really getting into it and we both got carried away lol I prefer gravel site over skatepark. I absolutely do not like filming at the skateparks mainly because there are usually other people there and I’m always afraid somebody’s gonna knock me down. It’s difficult to watch the screen on the camera and also be mindful of what’s going on around you. I don’t multitask that well hahaha. Thanks and I will be careful! Rocky and I always try to have a safety meeting before each bash cause we have done some really stupid stuff trust me ! We are trying ti be more careful and I appreciate the reminder 👍💥✅💥💥💥

You mentioned in your skatepark video that the screws were backing out of the bulkhead on the outcast 8s. I saw Kevin Talbot do a mod to prevent this issue. So there are 6 screws holding onto the bulkhead. Two m4 screws and four m5 screws. He replaced the stock m4 screws with m4x18 screws and the stock m5 screws with m5x25 screws, however he had to drill the holes deeper to fit these 25mm screws. Other than that I think the truck could also benefit from droop screws to prevent the shock ends from breaking. If you want to see how he fitted the longer screws, just type: „Kraton 8s EXB - Worlds best GIANT Rc Car?“ He showed how to do it somewhere around the 5 minute mark

I've been thinking about buying an Xmaxx for awhile now. Then Arrma dropped the 8S EXB RTRs...Now I'm wondering KRaton or Outcast? The longer wheelbase of the Kraton should make it more stable and better for jumping and just easier to hit the ramp right I think. But the Outcast will probably flip easier once it's airborne. decisions decisions...
I have both k8 an o8 exb an like the o8s little better. I was all kraton for ever, then the o8s exb roller went on sale for 399.99 and I grabbed it. And now the k8s sits because the o8s is just perfect size and weight for bashing and staying strong. 6 months and nothings broke on the o8s exb. For the 6s rig the kraton is best.
Also I've owned a xmaxx and sold it cus it rolled over to much. At the time my k8s was just way better for my driven style. And now the o8s is my go to.

Ive owned 60-70 rigs in the last 6 yeas. Xmaxx, k8s v1 an now o8s exb. Sold the xmaxx an the o8s exb is my go to for bashing on 8s. The xmaxx i had broke gears way to easy. I had to rebuild it twice and only drove it 3 times. Bulkheads, center drive shafts bend like butter and monkey metal gears just exlpode when brand new. Heck the new pinion i wentto put on broke titening the grub screw. Hole gear junked with 0 use. 😢 I stay ARRMA 💪💪💪

I think how tough these rigs are is also dependent on the drivers skills. When I started I broke all my rigs 3 years later and you would think my TLR typhon was indestructible since I don't break parts any more.

That was fantastic brother, This is one case the Outcast benefits from additional weight, with a sharp incline like that, varying terrain, the extra weight keeps the rig mostly on track while the narrow wheelbase and less weight of the Xmaxx tosses it around more, making it harder to control. Skatepark xmaxx wins 80% of the time, for Ramp Sends and construction sites the Outcast has the advantage somewhat. To me.thats 2 out of three Outcast wins.... Both are great, and if it was just about laughs and durability the Xmaxx wins every time, Outcast is pure adrenaline and king of big sends as can be seen here especially.... The weight and driving characteristics just Tops! , both Fantastic rigs for different reasons, great stuff here my friend.....might been the first time the Xmaxx took the L over three rounds?? Did the 30 degree N beat it as well?? Bash on

Man longer driveshafts equate to better handling but more prone to bending. I was bending my xrt driveshafts way easier than you bent the O8S shafts 🤣 awesome bash.
Closest thing in size to those that isn't larger 1/5 or gas is the CEN Racing Reeper, same wheelbase as the xmaxx but lighter and narrower stock, also runs on 6s stock

it's an incredible truck.. but compared to the Xmax it's about physics, it weighs more and it's normal when it's unlucky to land on 2 wheels, something bends... In the future you should put some ballast on the Xmax to bring it to the same weight to see if it resists as well...thanks for the video...when I saw those drive shafts it was as if a tear was flowing from my eyes :)

Lol. And just like that he switches. The bottom line is that they each have they're strengths and weaknesses. And bad landings will break them all. And for all intents and purposes if you don't beat the hell out of them they won't break at all. If it can take that kind of abuse for a 15 to 20 minute bash. It'll take less than that for a lot longer.
