Welcome back...L.E.D pods sound great. I still think rock guards for the front of the rear fender is something I would buy. looking forward to what you come up with.
Did we talk about those before? Cant remember who that was lol, sorry if it was. My Pro4x has some small ones on the front side of the rear wheel arches....is that what you mean? maybe larger?
@@EndMotive Yes Sir.... that's exactly what I was talking about. I did add it to my wish list some months back. I still love my grey # 4 decals.. keep up the great work.
Waiting patiently for the switch panel! Maybe grille inserts with a spot for a small light bar? Not sure if you could come up with something strong enough?
I thought it would be cool for a wireless charging pad setup for the Frontier, that goes in the cubby in front of the shifter. Maybe angled at 30-45 degrees so there's room for the charging coil underneath and it's easier to grab out of it. Also those Pro-4x emblems you made are cool. What 3D printed material was that made out of? Does it do well out in the sun?
A charging pad is a good idea, The original phone mount that I made that sticks in the coin holder had a magnetic wireless charger that I used for a long time. I will look into either going back down that route or a separate charging pad that sits in the cubby. The Pro4x badge was regular 3d printed resin....I have been kinda testing it to make sure it can handle the UV exposure. Resin becomes more brittle in sun exposure, but If the part is not moving and is painted...it is holding up pretty good so far!
I would love to see a mesh grill insert that it’s just a flat piece with no Nissan logo that Well just clip into the factory clips so I don’t cut anything I hope you get what I’m saying.
I do get what your saying! I actually started 3d scanning the grill several months ago but was disappointed with the scan quality I was getting. I plan on upgrading 3d scanners here pretty soon so hopefully I can get some usable data to work with and design something!
Nice ideas, and I know its expensive, got inspired by you few months ago and sort of "learned" how to model, made some designs and produced them on 3D print. After tested I decided to look for a manufacturer to do injected molded but f***, that made me give up, very expensive in Brazil and even in China.
Lol, yeah. Having the molds cut is crazy expensive. I am definitely getting slightly faster and more profitable with some of the parts that I make....but some I just can't make within reason. Keep looking around though, you would be suprised at how much companies can vary in price.
I have a frontier and I’m not a big fan of the way the tweeters are pointing straight up at the windshield I think it would be cool to have some sort of pod for the tweeters and have them point at the driver and passenger
I have given this thought before, I think they are actually pretty functional in the way that bounce the sound off of the windshield, but I will look into it!
I have a similar truck, and I have the ambition of trying to 3D print a new grill (in pieces of course) similar to the raptor grill but have it say “NISSAN” or “FRONTIER”. Where did you get the frontier stl? I’d like to isolate the grill and modify it
All the data I have for the Frontier is scans I have taken myself. I have seen a few full 3d models but I don't know how accurate they are. Their is a company that makes a "raptor" styled grille for the Frontier now I think. I have seen a few people like to one on ebay.
@@EndMotive I’ve seen those before, they’re around $300 and not my favorite design. It’s funny I’ve been seeing all these frontier parts on stl websites and I finally stumbled upon the original creator lol. Maybe if I can get a scan setup I’ll work on my own. I think at least replacing the center mesh part with one that doesn’t have the badge but just says Nissan
@@sunnydatsun7495 Lol yeah I have been busy and should hopefully have more of these parts available to sell soon! I plan on making a full custom grille, but haven't started on it yet... however I actually did that exact thing with mesh on my Xterra several years ago. The grill has and inner and outer halves that can be split apart and then you can cut away some of the inner portion and sandwich in mesh. It looked pretty good but I don't have any pics.
