it's actually incredible to watch your skin transform when you do the Ta method - as the cream goes over the powder, it looks like your skin is suddenly glowing naturally. Just beautiful!
Here comes the TA flap 🤣 i like the way the video keeps playing, and you can shop at the same time, or you can do other stuff on your phone while watching a video 👍
Hi Rebecca! This video is done so incredibly well. I love the way you showed each application. Daddy is so flattering on you. Thank you for showing all the shades :)
Next year when you’ve blown up to be a super influencer on YT, I’ll be commenting “I was a fan since she first came up with that makeup wash pit crew idea!” As I watch your crew scrub you down! 🤣🧼🫧
Thank you Rebecca! ❤ I'm so bewildered how different the stock images look compared to real life - specifically on the lighter shades, the cool-toned milky / icy coloring comes across so chalk-like compared to the rest
These Patrick Ta highlighters are so pretty! I wasn’t sure about how to use both cream and powder, but I really like Patrick's technique of putting them on top of the powder. My favorites are Baby and Daddy, but they are all really pretty.
I actually think it’s his technique that makes these perfectly unique. If not it’s just kind of a sparkly highlighter and a messy cream. But together it’s something special
Bless you for doing all those face washes!!! It was super helpful to see each color combo and I’m 100% behind the Ta method. It really does make it look so seamless and natural!
I really think his method works with his products but I think it’s a harder concept for the Home make up artist to work with or grasp so he takes a lot of flack I think
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty you showing all four ways to apply was incredibly helpful…it highlighted how natural and pretty it looks when you use his method (powder then cream)!
Wow! I have to admit, I always kinda shrugged at Patrick’s idea of putting cream over powder. But seeing you do it with the highlighters really showed me why he loves this method! It really made the highlighter appear more skin like! Amazing. I wish Daddy was a deeper rose gold, I would have totally gotten it! For now, Honey is my best bet-it looks so pretty. You looked so lovely and I hope you gave your cheeks a well deserved rest❤
I gave my cheeks such a rest. I didn’t even wear any make up today. It was all worth it!. I really like that honey shade on a deeper skin tone. It’s really gorgeous
I think highlighter products are stunning and fun, though I use very little on myself having had acne and I am still prone to oiliness. I use eyeshadow crease brushes for applying subtle highlighter powders over the cheeks and sparingly as I am afraid of looking overly shiny. 🙈 And.. yes.. different makeup brands have different philosophies. All good, something for everybody.
I’m really looking forward to this release. I don’t get very excited about highlighters anymore because I have so many and they’ll largely the same. However, I really love the fact that these have very little base pigment to them. I’ve been wanting exactly that in a highlighter for a while now because I’ve discovered that I don’t like a heavily pigmented highlighter as those are the ones that look metallic and stripy on your face. That’s why I loved the Fenty diamond bond highlighter so much even though it’s glittery. I haven’t come across a no base highlighter that’s really wowed me other than the Fenty but I have hopes that this will be what I’m looking for!
Enjoyed this review and demos Rebecca. My favourites on you was My love, Baby, Sugar & Daddy…i want to pick up My Love & Baby they look so pretty and my kind of colours for makeup 😍.
Hi dear Rebecca, i hope so much you feel better!!!!❤And loved the video!!! Wow, you tried so many of these on your face, that's so much work and hurts your face! I still have so many highlighters, but if i would choose one, it would be that Daddy shade, it's most unseen, i think! And for application the powder first and than the cream indeed. Lovely video, thank you, sending you lots of love!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Rebecca for your thorough demo of each of these shades, followed by your candid opinion of this new and creative duo highlighting formula. The cream over powder method looked best and the Sugar shade was most flattering on you (IMO). The tackiness is off-putting for me as I have long hair and I dislike intensely the feeling of hait stuck to my face. So, for summertime, it’s a pass for me. But…I might go for it in the fall, when my skin is parched, if “verified” reviews are in the 4/5 range - because you can never have too many highlighters. 😊Thanks again!
I was hoping you would make a video on these. I am so curious about them. It is hard to decide which shade to choose from the pics on Sephora. Thank you.❤
I hv the pink. For my age the powder alone is too glittery. Cream over top is ok. It's definitely a finicky product. I liked the champagne on you. Thanks for taking one for the team with all the face washing🙂
I appreciate your thorough show-and-tell of these highlighters! I stumbled across these on Sephora online last week and I ordered Baby right away. I think it was a good choice, but I am tempted by (the rather basic) Sugar too. Do I need these? Absolutely not! But I do think they will be somewhat unique in my collection because of the two formulas and options for pairing. Thank you for everything you do and the way you do it!
I really like the right cheek with the cream over powder. It just melts in. Very pretty colors! I am glad you are feeling better. I am sick now too. Ugh!
Wow! Love the sweatshirt!! Love these Patrick Ta Duos! I need to test these in person but I'm definitely interested!! You have done an amazing look with these!!! 😅😅 You sound a lot better; hope you feel better!!Ta Flap!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Yay! The Ta flap! These highlighters are very pretty. That said, I’m going to pass. I rarely wear highlighter. I have the newish one from Tom Ford in the Pink shade and MOB beauty in M99 and LE’s liquid in Crystal Nebula. So I’m covered. But I love makeup and I love your videos!. So, a cup of coffee and Rebecca on a Sunday morning is the best.💕💕💕
I honestly think that if they’re used the way the artist suggests, they really are quite beautiful. But, it is a little bit of a fussy application and it can feel a little bit sticky
I’m so glad it was helpful. Yes. I picked up two different sicknesses from both of my children. I got a throat infection from my youngest and then, as it was going away on antibiotics, I was hit with a cold that my oldest picked up from the preschool she’s working at this summer. So I have just been unable to beat this but I think I’m finally gonna be better this week.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty Awww you are always so helpful Bless your heart over here making videos while you are dealing with so much! Just take good care of yourself. Rest! I made my daughter a tea when she was sick. It’s slices of oranges & lemons with the skin, just wash well. Honey, cinnamon stick, slice of ginger and a dash of tumeric, powder. Just heat it up bring to an almost boil, the longer it sits the better. You can save the fruits and just add more water & rest of ingredients for the next day then toss. I hope it helps you sweetie! Definitely so much going around. You get loads of rest. Sending you healing ❤️🩹 vibes 💕
Hi Rebecca! What a great video demonstration of all the new duos! I like the look of the cream on top of the powder; the result is more natural looking. That’s what I do with the Dior Forever Glow Maximizers- I put them over blush which gives just the right amount of highlight. Thanks again for a great video! I’m happy to see you are starting to feel better!!😊 Susan
Hi Rebecca, I enjoyed watching this video, I am curious about this product, I never tried any of his face products ( bronzers, or blushes) I only have his Major Domensions 2 - rose eyeshadow palette , I will try in store when they come to Sephora Australia ( hopefully soon, we tend to get our products sometimes at later date with certain brands). Love Katherine xoxo
No cheeks were harmed in the making of this video lol. I got Daddy and I love it. It’s perfect shade for us. I wanted the pink and I was like no no no I know it’s gonna be cool toned and it won’t look as good as one of the Warner ones. So happy with DADDDDDDYYY lol. Happy Fathers Day to your husband and your dad!
I love baby and honey on you with the powder and cream after ! I got baby honey and sugar lol 😂 I might need daddy 🤭 have you seen the new ones from Ortega beauty ? Got them all Look so beautiful so will see , happy Sunday my friend ❤
The Ta flap. I just love it. Ok I’ve only used this once and I’m never going to use the cream side, but I liked it. I’m surprised because I don’t like glitter at all. Something about it was pretty. I used a light hand and I think it was the glow that I loved. I’ll be honest and say that while I buy all the PT releases they never become favorites, but this one I like. Funny because I’ve read many reviews already of people that don’t like it. 😅
Excellent review and demonstration! I won’t buy this product as I find Patrick Ta’s products too fussy. I had no success with his foundation and realize his powder/cream combos just aren’t for me. The shades are very pretty but there are too many highlighters on the market to buy one that is hot or miss for me.
How do these formulas compare to his highlighters in the blush pallet that had 2 blushes and a cream and powder highlighter? It was the 2nd blush pallet I believe!
Sugar and Daddy look the best on you. I just got home from Sephora. So, I tried everyone of those on my arm. lol. At 1st I’m like no. No way. Because at 1st I thought the powder part was like dry on its own. But, when I put the cream over them, they actually looked beautiful. Then I tried cream 1st, then powder. Nope. Looked awful, and I’m sure that’s how it would look on the face. Hmmmmm. Reviews have not been great on these so far. But, I was intrigued how it looked with powder first, cream over it. I think I might pick one up now. I went in Sephora to get a the Fenty new foundation sample. And Mario liquid bronze sample. I tried the Dior maximizer highlighter on my face. That was beautiful!
One more thing, do you have the Westman Atelier Super Loaded Cream Highlighter? I'm on the hunt, the older I get the less I like powder highlights. Wavering between the Patriick Ta and the Westman..... I'll hunt in your library to see if you've reviewed it
Swatched the lightest shade in store and wasn’t impressed. The powder side had little pigment but quite a bit of glitter particles. The cream side looked like Vaseline.
I purchased the silver & pink yesterday. I actually returned them today. I think they are awful. I know they are sheer but Patrick TA in my opinion he failed on this one. They are way to much effort to make them work or look good. There are way better products out there. Many people said it removes there makeup underneath & there hair sticks there face from the cream. Love your videos & you review new products as soon as they come out. Awesome!
His products are definitely fussy and his products definitely rely on the marriage of cream and powder. And that is kind of a process but he’s very editorial. So you have to kind of want that process going in, if that makes sense
You look FANTASTIC in the monochromatic peachy look in the intro!! I love that you got them all because I never would have realized they were so similar otherwise. I think it’s really a “pick the one that’s best for your skin tone” situation instead of different shades for different looks. I liked Daddy the most! (It may get you the wrong kind of viewers! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂) I know this will sound controversial, but I wish I could just buy the cream portion. I love how it transforms things, but I really only want that! I have PLENTY of powder highlighters, but I’d buy a compact of the cream to top things, though! I might get it, just for the cream. Was it R2D2 or C-3PO that was gold? 😢 Girl, that broke my heart! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 It was C-3PO (although he had a silver at bottom of his leg in the original trilogy and had a red part of his arm once too.)
I was a HUGE fan of the original Star Wars movies from when we were kids but I never got caught up with the newer releases or delved back into the originals so I have some homework to do, clearly!!! Yes, these are about skintone and not color preference. I agree.
I can't believe highlighters are coming back! I have a bunch of highlighters I stopped using a while back so will have to shop my stash! I'll skip these.
It’s funny you should say that because, throughout the years, I keep saying that this fad of highlighting our faces is going to go away and it never ever does.
They are definitely a fussy little product. I do like it most with the cream over the highlight but, I cannot deny that you have a very valid point. Plus I appreciate the heck out of you being here ❤️
I agree. Every powder I’ve tried from his line has hard-panned within days. Foundation never sat, it felt greasy all day. For the price, there are too many others that aren’t as risky.
