Hi Maria! I can't believe I won!I'm so happy and honored!Thank you so much and keep spreading positive vibes while talking about our biggest love, fragrances!❤❤❤
Congrats to the winner! I have White Milk, which is DUA's version of Bianco Latte and while I haven't smelled the original, I love White Milk. It starts off honey forward and turns more laconic and caramely as it develops and it's delicious. I also, since I have such a large collection now, need to stop giving in to the hype and blind buying most frags. I've gotten 5-6 new middle-eastern frags in the past couple of months, and while I like all of them, they are not true loves. At this point, especially considering having space for everything, if I'm going to add anything new to my collection, it needs to be an absolute LOVE. It's hard though, because it's so fun to explore...sigh.
I've been using Hidden Samples to try out middle eastern perfumes without blind buying! Its a godsend for me honestly, I would get SO sucked in if it didn't exist 😭
Honestly i didnt like teriaq when i first got it but its changed a LOT and i really enjoy it now, and this fall when my bottle has had a full 10 months or so to mature i feel like ill absolutely love it. I got my bottle less than a month after the production date so i knew it would need a few months 🤷♀️
Thank you for sharing your honest opinions. I am tired of seeing only overwhelmingly positive reviews, b/c it doesn't help me make decisions about what will work for me.
Thank you Maria! Finally someone who spoke out the truth about taskeen caramel, it does not smell like bianco latte! I have both. I also didn’t like taskeen caramel - it’s just not something I want to smell like. We sometimes get sucked into the hype so I appreciate your honesty. Now I love bianco latte❤ save your $30ish dollars into something better or closer to bianco latte if that is what you want a dupe of.
Not the watermelon PTSD! 😆🍉 Tocca Simone is a really beautiful light fresh watermelon as well with some yellow florals and woods with a sweet musky drydown. And OMG Quentin Bisch is my fave! 💖💖
I agree with you about the whole thing with saying "This smells EXACTLY like _______" and usually these comments make me think they never owned a BOTTLE of the original. Dabber samples are deceiving and sometimes a sample can be too if you're not doing a full-wear (instead of just spraying on your hand*)... yes Caramel Cascade is a dupe for Bianco Latte but there are clear differences. I will still keep and layer with Caramel Cascade but I agree with how you've described it.
❤ I am loving your videos. Can you believe it, I'm 49 and up until 2 months ago was a monogamous perfume wear er 😂 The same old scent everyday, then change it up every 5 years or so. Thanks to you and Val highlighting all those middle eastern fragrances, a whole new world has opened up to me. I am OBSESSED with Barakkat Gentle Gold and Baroque Satin Oud. Thank god there are affordable ways to enjoy these amazing scent profiles ❤ Thank you Marie. Love, love your humour and elaborate descriptions xx
PS when you were talking about Coco mademoiselle in a previous video, I found it so touching. I'm wildly sentimental. I had never smelled any of the Chanel perfumes before. I have so missed out. I had such fun smelling all the offerings in my local department store. CM was my favourite - elegance and class ❤ It will be on my 50th birthday wishlist
Call it a midlife crisis or reflecting on a life lived for others but there is something about picking up a scent from my perfume tray and holding it to my nose and thinking ' I matter. And today, I am going to smell like I do: 😂
I have never smelled Bianco Latte but I do have Blanche Bette and that is mostly what I get from Caramel Cascade. I do like the lactonic quality though, and I'm hopeful it will get more beautiful with time. That said, I completely understand that fragrances are subjective. Thanks for your reviews- I always look forward to them. Also congrats to the winner! Hope y'all have a happy Easter!
I fell victim to the hype. Taskeen is NOTHING like Bianca Latte !! And I'm out to end the hype. I've been commenting on every video making these false claims lol!. I was so disappointed in Taskeen. It's so light and I have to squint to even smell it. It's so weak like a body spray and smells of licorice, from what I can even smell .. Bianca is gorgeous and has depth. U can smell it!! They are not the same in smell, performance etc. Taskeen. Is cute for a 13yr old girl with no experience in perfumes. And yes this is why I stay way watching Maria bc she has experience!! She knows her shit
Same here - fell into the hype. I have both and they do not smell alike. I loose trust when people compare fragrances as close dupes if they are not. This is why I love Maria. She’s a true gem here! ❤
Spray 10 to 15 sprays (to clear out the atomizer and bring in some oxygen), then stick it in the back of a dresser drawer for a month, or so. Come back in several weeks and see if you've gotten any improvement. Sooo many fragrances have been much improved with a few weeks of maceration.
@@Khaleesi_Of_Kittens I actually always do that with all fragrances, it didn’t help improve the fragrance of my taskeen caramel perfume 😔 I like caramel note just not in this fragrance. I like Sabrina carpenter sweet tooth caramel flanker a lot.
Today I'm wearing a fragrance called when soul gets high. It's powdery a bit but there's a sweetness also that i really like. It reminds me of a perfume i used to wear called gossip.
Great video and congrats to the winner! I actually really like Teriaq (wearing it today!) but I do feel like it was a little overhyped. I waited a bit and got it at a good price, people were definitely price gouging when it first came out here. I have heard some comparing it to LaBelle by JPG. I’d say same family but not exactly the same. I actually slightly prefer Teriaq. Same perfumer anyway! I am glad to hear that more people are decanting Middle Eastern scents! There are several more I’d like to try but don’t want to blind buy whole bottles.
For the first month or two at least maybe longer I was really really struggling with Teriaq, it wasn’t actually tell the last couple weeks that I fell absolutely in love with it! When I tell you this macerates into something beautiful and when it dries down on the skin the olive factory journey that it takes you want is just an experience and it’s absolutely beautiful! I hope you give it a little bit more time and try it again it does change maceration does something to this fragrance and I went from regretfully purchasing it hesitating on being patient and letting it macerate considering throwing it away to absolutely absolutely loving it
I appreciate your review on the Caramel Cascade! I've gone back and forth with this one, not because of Bianco Latte because I've never smelled that but because of the synthetic smell that the Taskeen line has. I have Taskeen Peach and Marina, both blinds buys, both have that synthetic smell you mentioned. I thought I was going crazy because everyone really hyped this line up so THANK YOU❤❤❤
People tend to hype things up when they go viral, and they live a fragrance because of the hype, no matter if it's good or not. That's why I never believe the hype!! Never trust influencers, except for gems like Maria. ❤
Congratulations 🎉 to the winner!! 👏 👏 Thank you Maria for the FUN fragrance reviews! You are so enjoyable to watch! 😊 Hope you have a fantastic day where you live. It's almost 80 degrees here in southern Kentucky where I live & flowers are starting to bloom! ~Ginger
The watermelon explosion 😂😂😂😂. I get your view on the hyped ones Maria and although I’m in love with Teriaq I agree with you. It is nothing unique or niche and is definitely mass-appealing. What I like about is the twist from that gourmand opening to a musky fruity floral in the dry down. It’s also a compliment-getter. With Taskeen I am giving it time to macerate in the hope that gets better. For now, the opening is hard to pass for me. Love you! Ps: now I got curious about Close-Up! Sounds lovely ❤
Congratulations winner!!!! Glad to hear your take on caramel cascade, I was on the fence. I had a watermelon explode on my cabinet, we were gone a few days and came back to exploded watermelon lol.
Hi Maria, I bought Teriaq and I kinda have to agree with you. I mean it’s nice and I’ll wear it, but it’s not a LOVE or one of my favourites. It’s just ……. ok. You described it quite well 🌟
Thank you for your honest opinions! I've recently blind-bought Lattafa's Liam, based on YT hype and videos saying it's an amazing unisex fragrance. Well... it's totally masculine to me, have to give it away... 😢
To be fair, for those used to more feminine-leaning fragrances, Gris Charnel leans a bit masculine, as well. I own both, and to me Liam is a great inspiration, just with better performance 🙂 Blind buys are such a minefield!
I actually love Teriaq! And I am more into Indie and Niche perfumes than Designer. To me it smells like sweet almond honey-caramel with some apricot. It is one of my favorite honey perfumes. I do not lile My Way and La Belle is only a once in a great while type of perfume for me... I don't find it comparable to them. But it seems like some ppl do?
Teriaq is a love for me and I'm in the camp of wondering what people are going on about comparing it to La Belle, other than vaguely in the same ball park. I can't stand La Belle edp/parfum on my skin, particularly the drydown but, as I had an unused 'courtesy' sample of La Belle Parfum hanging around I sprayed one on each arm. The honey/caramel/suede mostly come out in Teriaq on my skin and honey is one of my favourite notes. I've layered Teriaq with Zoologist Bee. Caramel Cascade has been scarce here in UK but I wont bother unless I can get a decant. I'm not in a rush to try it because, NO HATE PLEASE, I had a 5ml decant of Bianco Latte and think it's a pretty uninteresting and synthetic smelling vanilla and was massively disappointed with it, just ok for layering, (for me). Wouldn't it be boring though if we all liked everything the same? 😊
I am new to your channel, i love the way you give your honest opinion, i think its fun to see how one person loves a fragrance and the other can stand it, nice to be all different humans, btw i dislike ( understatement) bianco latte, it chokes me, so i wont bother to buy the taskeen😂
I also don't like it when reviewers say "it smells exactly like xyz" because it will never smell exactly the same. Similar, yes. Maybe even just "the same vibe" but exactly the same? 99% close?? Not possible. I wish fragrance reviewers are more honest about this. I also have a collection of dupes, my wallet prefers them over the original and I'm incredibly happy because a lot of them gets very close to the og but none of them smell as close as some people claim.
Your watermelon story😂 I have one too. For some stupid reason I ended up polishing off an entire watermelon over the course of a day. By myself! That night there were watermelon explosions in my house too-‘nuff said on that😂
I just can't afford Bianco Latte, and I did get Caramel Cascade hoping for a dupe. In your great perfume knowledge, is there anything else out there you would recommend that comes pretty close to a dupe of Bianco Latte?? Thanks always for your honesty!
Taskeen is a black licorice bomb. 🤢 I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT. I like a licorice note… Lolita Lempicka, La Petit Robe Noir, Diesel Loverdose… All loves for me. But Tuskeen..? It’s maybe one of my biggest fails. So sad because I had high hopes. Don’t know if it’s my nose, my skin chemistry or what but this smells putrid on me.
