Just a quick PSA for my Hunters out there: Do not feel the need to get 4th Times the Charm necessarily. If you get something like Tac Mag or Appended Mag, with Backup Mag and Enlightened Action, you’ll be fine. It should put the bullet count around 22-24 rounds. This will still allow you to take full advantage of the Lucky Pants damage buff for the full extension of the magazine. If you’re interested in a reference video, I’d check out Tfizzle’s video on it. He explains it in great detail.
12:10 so you know, you can use your skimmer to get to a much higher and safer vantage point. As you are entering the area, jump then use the glide feature to go straight to the top of the big circle where the tank spawns. This allows you to engage MUCH closer without the big cannon being able to hit you. Once defeated, everything despawns except for champions.
That's actually not entirely true. I've been killed from beneath by the tank using the fire cannon. Just to be safe, don't touch the big circle thing if the cannon is aiming at you, the splash is bigger than the width of the structure because of Bungie physics and you get killed lol
Fourth times the charm is no longer needed on Wardens law since you get extra ammo from the weapon perk slot! You can swap it for any other perk you'd like in the first column because you can fire all lucky pants rounds without needing to reload (without fourth times the charm)
The only reason I’d argue for FTTC is simply to maximize the amount of time dealing damage and negate down time. The things that I always very flexible are barrel and mag options (as long as they aren’t something that just completely hinders the feel of the gun which is handling mostly). With Adept Mag getting the negative handling effect removed it’ll probably be bis come sandbox patch
If you have appended mag for 20 rounds total it takes only 4.66 seconds to fire all the rounds out of the 6 seconds of illegally modded holsters timer. Even with the mag refil from stunning a champion, you only get 4 bullets back since it takes 2 burst to stun which means you are only able to fire for 5.6 seconds of the 6 seconds of buff. So unless you are using a backup mag mod you will be loosing damage from that last one to two burst you don’t get to fire. And with this gun an adept reload speed mod will be the best since it’s such a bad reload.

I didn't know about the cliffside trick, but I just hoverboard from the mouth of the cave and it's just as effective. You're moving too fast for anything to hit you. I will say that the reworked GM is far easier than it used to be UNTIL the boss room. Those new shanks can kill you while full health in your super, 100 resil, multiple DR mods, restoration active... I didn't think it was possible.
They basically made the boss room easier and the rest of the strike harder, is basically my takeaway after grinding today. Averaged between 16-20 minutes for most runs.
@@Sobergamer61 there are still arc shanks, but not as many. Previously, these shanks and other stuff would completely electrocute the floor so that you take damage and can’t move, therefore pretty much instant killing you in GM. Now, the individual shanks only conduct their part of the floor and halfway through the boss encounter (boss is half health), vex will spawn, despawning all fallen. They will come back after vex, but the boss can be nuked easily.
For my lucky pants players. Dont use 4th time, its legit the worst perk in slot. With tac mag and backup mag now that boss spec is gone you get 24 rounds in the mag which is EXACTLY how many lucky pants can shoot. FTTC will just make you keep shooting unbuffed bullets, while stuff like enlightened will boost your reload and your buff runs out the same time that your clip empties, meaning you also get a reminder to like "hey you buff is up, reload and continue with your rotation". Enlightened and Demo are best in slot for the HC now with the mod changes. Was lucky since my previous godroll had both FTTC and enlightened action.
Was very pleased to see that at least two people were thinking the same thing for this GM - I ran it today with the same weapons (got the Aisha's Care w/ slice & hatchling finally) and Arc Conductor Ergo, and it definitely goes hard On a prismatic suspend titan with an Abeyant/Contact mark, I feel like I can take on entire parts of this strike all by myself lol
Hey Crose ! just wanna say that, for me, fourth time's is not needed anymore because now you can put the munition mod (before we were using boss spec) and have enough mun for all the buff timer. I think Enlightened Action could be better in most situation because it give you reload speed and handling that are both reaaaally great on lucky pant build.
Instead of FTTC I'm actually really interested in enlightened action in case you do end up needing to reload and don't have marksman's dodge up or whatever. Either way with the duration of the lucky pants damage boost and the rpm of the handcannon, you only need a little less than 22 bullets, I think it was like 21.7 bullets and then lucky pants ran out. For me it's enlightened action with vorpal weapon and then any mag that increases reload speed probably. Simply because I'll probably put on adept backup mag
By the way guys, alloy mag is WAY better than appended mag now that we just use backup mag on everything and especially since they're removing stat penalties on adept mods
Im glad I was around for the craftening made farming for a god roll warden’s law extremely easy at the time though this nightfall looks pretty fun for gm
Enlightened action / Frenzy is my favorite roll for running and gunning with Lukcy Pants. The reload is so fast. For bosses then the roll Cross recommended is best for sure
Tbh you are both wrong. You always want "Enlightened Action" nowadays since it's buff. It provides 55 Reload Stat and 55 Handling, which lets you easily max out the reload speed. You should keep farming since "Frenzy" is a bad pick / useless, "Vorpal" does more damage since it is a primary and as said you don't need the reload and handling that "Frenzy" provides.
Coming back to Destiny after 6-7 years and all of a Sudden Saint-14 has been retroactively introduced to Exodus Crash and also he’s Russian. That caught me off guard lol. Makes you wonder, though. Where do Guardian accents come from? I mean, it’s not like you have different vocal cords than someone born in another country. How do you get revived with the body’s old accent but no memories? Wouldn’t you end up with the same accent as anyone else revived in that particular location or era? Like there’d be a warlord accent, an Iron Lord accent, a Reef/Awoken accent, etc. Really makes you think.
so, 26 rounds SHOULD last the full luckypants timer so you DO NOT need fourth times if your mag size is above that and you can pull a different useful perk such as demo!
this was my first gm ever and i’ve been playing since taken king and i’ve only wiped once so far but that’s understandable since it’s only been lfg with no communication
I got lucky with the god roll drop the 1st time this became available. It's been glued to my hunter ever since. I still want 4ttc and Frenzy for more general purposes.
Az is getting the adept version worth it? I am usually the one to carry my team over and over again, it has reached a point where I am going 300 add clear and almost always the only survivor. After 4 games I havent gotten a good roll at all but with normal it has been a lot quicker, easier and I have gotten some okay rolls compared to my GM runs
22 to 24 rounds is all you can fire on Lucky pants buff. 4th times is a wasted perk now! Don’t fall for the bait. Go Hammer forge/Tac mag/ enlightened action/Vorpal. That’s a 24 round mag and buffed reload speed for your standard play.
My pvp god roll that stays in my rotation is snapshot/zen moment... but I think I might go for an enlighten action/zen moment roll or moving target/zen moment.
Idk if they did something or what, but it seems like the weapons don’t drop from the normal matchmade nightfalls anymore. I haven’t necessarily done what I’d call a lot, but I feel like I’ve done a decent amount of nightfalls and haven’t gotten a single weapon yet
I wouldn’t rely on normal nightfalls for the weapons (that and the matchmade one has an inconsistent drop rate). May as well enter the danger zone and go for the adept.
Yeah definitely seems like the drop rate is lower than it once was. I have done my share of GMs, some I still haven’t done yet, just can’t be bothered to do them anymore since adepts now have even less of an advantage over non adepts
If you don't get gold or platinum because you skipped champions then the chances of getting weapon drops are significantly lower. This week, however, is for forgiving because of the X2 rewards. Make sure all champs are dead and if they suicide for whatever reason at least get a few shots on them before they die.
Yeah, but it's not that good though. Got my 4thTimes/Vorpal roll for Lucky Pants roll when it first came out. Pity you don't get an Adept Engram so you can focus what weapon you want.
did this with random blueberries, they died 3 times on the first champion and we wiped at the final boss.. after 30 minutes.. did it with random good players: 15 min
Frenzy isn’t a big of a damage buff but for general play you’ll get grenade energy from demo, max handling and reload from frenzy, and 15% extra damage just for being in combat
@@its_Pipdefinitely, unless you’re a Hunter looking for FTTC and Vorpal there really is no reason to get this. Other HC’s can do what this gun does and better (outside of DPS) for neutral game.
Small bore, accurized rounds, enlightened action, vorpal, range masterwork is the PvE godroll imo. FTTC is not too useful with lucky pants since you will most likely be using an adept mag and cannot make full use of FTTC before running out of the buff. Enlightened action, however, allows for SUPER fast reloads, allowing you to reload and stow the gun for the next round of Lucky Pants (removing the need for auto loading holster mods). In defense of FTTC, it’s nice for finishing off super weak champs after the lucky pants damage buff wears off if they’re still alive. Otherwise, just enlightened action reload and finish them off.
You are mostly right except range doesn't matter in PvE since the difference is not noticeable. So you ideally don't want range mw nor accurized rounds. And barrel is kinda whatever since mostly everything works to bring that recoil to 97 or 100.
@@Ecoxiss stats like range and stability are slightly misunderstood as they don’t affect those elements solely. I’d argue that a handling mw is probably the best option to make it feel as snappy as possible but most of the MWs won’t really take away from the optimal experience
@@anabsolutefiend the only important one is the reload me, handling is already very good with lucky pants and enlightened action. Reload gets you to 100.
Btw the good roll for lucky pants is actually demo vorpal with extended mag or appended mag and the correct back up mag to get you to 28 rounds. Which is the exact amount of bullets you can fire with lucky pants and you can respond and get energy with demo.
0:50 unfortunately cross is wrong here. The Roll you should go for is Enlightened Action+Vorpal instead of FTTC. Since Enlightened Action's buff, it maxes out the reload speed on Wardens Law with a good roll which is far more usefull than a few more shots each mag since by that point, you have ran out of the Lucky Pants buff anyways.
@@leontdraco Because the reload speed helps you more. 1. You can actually stay on Wardens and use it as an ad clear primary which you usually wouldn't because of it's terrible reload speed 2. You can also reload faster, to stow it away faster and use other weapons for longer in those 10 seconds. So whichever way you prefer to play with this gun, Enlightened Action provides better support than FTTC. For FTTC to offer you "forgiveness" you would have to have a sub 50% accuracy, not even talking about precision. That is highly unlikely/unrealistic but even then the magazine is big enough for you to run out of buff, before you run out of ammo.
For lucky pants hunter you want tac mag, enlightened action and vorpal. Tac mag gives 10 reload plus mag bonus+adept backup mag gives 26 shots which is the max you can shoot in the 5 second window for pants.
That would be a good rotation if you can make it long enough for the 10 second pants cool down. I’ve been paring with microcosm both guns benefit from triple kinetic surge mods. Insane total dmg for long boss encounters
Im not sure I understand your question. the ADEPT Version of Wardens Law drops from GRANDMASTER Diffculty only. You can get the NORMAL Version from all other Difficulties.
I feel the more I look at numbers Destiny is a strange game, guns and abilities do thousands, 100s of thousands of damage but our health bar and shield only total around 200, so the mobs are hitting us for like 10s of damage and hard hitting mobs maybe 50-80 damage. It feels weird when you think about it. Wow I'm dishing out 100s of thousands of damage and my super can do a million but mobs are only hitting me 10s of damage...yea weird.
The skimmer should have been a reward for completing that awful Lightfall campaign on Legendary. Paying for it when there are no other free/earnable ones in the game is almost pay to win
