@@denial_4521 It would depend on the product. For brows, it can be 5-8 minutes long for sure. But for primers, foundations, etc., I can see those needing to be longer, especially if you're doing a wear test. :)
The flowers on the new packaging are Tahitian gardenias. Monoi is a perfume oil that is produced by soaking the petals of Tahitian gardenias in coconut oil. Doesn't that sound just heavenly? Murumuru butter is made from fruit fat found in murumuru nuts that come from palm trees in the Amazon basin so that is why the original butter bronzer smells more nutty while the new has a more floral scent.
I do like single product reviews, especially when it’s being compared to an old product. I found this review very helpful, especially the hand swatches to see the differences in color and tone.

If u love their bronzer n blush you will love their highlighters I love them I reach for them more than any other ones that I have. I highly recommend them I’m shocked not alot of people talk about them
I love their travel butter bronzer because it’s small and compact, not taking up too much space in my makeup bag. I’m not sure what the shade range for that is, though. But you should check it out! No mirror, no brush, just a small compact for much cheaper.
My New Year’s resolution is not to buy any make up in 2021! I have a huge collection, thanks to all of the influencers that I watch religiously, and I’m going to spend the year going through my current collection. I love these types of videos where you focus on one specific product and I also love shot my stash videos.
Can you do a wear test? The matte one is supposedly long lasting, and as someone that puts my bronzer and blush on my bare skin (with no foundation) having something long lasting is really important
Which is weird, because the swatches seemed to be the opposite! The matte was wayyyy warmer and darker looking. 🧐 I thought that the matte shade might have worked for me but after those swatches...def not.
I love this kind of video because it's just a quick view of a single product. I think the full faces of products are sometimes difficult to keep up with.
They should have added additional shades with new matte bronzer as well. They could have done better but they made a choice not to. I personally have written and called corporate in the past for this issue since 2007. I am able to use the product without issues but I give gifts that include my favorite things. I like think I am performing a cheaper form of Oprah action. I can never include this in the basket. Each year the company misses 30 individual sales of this item.
I was so freakin excited when I saw this, but when I I got it home & opened it I couldn't stand the smell. I tried it on half my forehead to patch test it & the smell never went away, so I don't even know if I like it or not because of that. I'm not even sensitive to scents. I love the idea, the water resistance & the matte feel packaging though!
Quick question, how did you fare with the original smell? I remember buying from their Argan collection, the packaging was gorgeous but the pressed powder's fragrance were absolutely unbearable to me.
@@sooph1e the original smell isn't my favorite, but it didn't bother me enough to not use it and it seemed to dissipate after it was on my face. This new scent just seems way stronger & lingers the entire time you're wearing it!
For everyone who can't use their bronzers because of the smell, try leaving the compact open for an extended period. I depotted mine and the smell has almost completely disappeared! I will catch a tiny whiff randomly when applying, but it's otherwise gone. I imagine leaving the compact open might have the same effect.
Omg you may have saved me. I bought the original butter bronzer a while ago but couldn't use it because it smells like buttered popcorn to me and i can smell it on my face even an hour after application. I'll have to try this.

I think people might like a video on best most comfortable& natural tinted moisturizers, and best tinted lip products or a video about what products from your makeup collection that will NEVER be decluttered
I've been wanting them to come out with a matte version of this for ages! I'm almost done with my current one and didn't want to repurchase because I have oily skin and I really don't like the sheen on the original even though I love the formula and shade. I can't wait to try out the new one though! I think it'll end up being a HG for me.
The Original Butter Bronzer is my all time favorite, but Unfortunately the new one (Matte Monoi) isn't available here in India....... But I love the butter bronzers which I already have..... ❤ & I think that you did absolutely the best review about these Bronzers.. xxx
Years ago, I remember when I bought my first bronzer, it had more red in it. To look like I had "sun-kissed" skin. Then came the cool toned bronzer that now served as a contour for the face. Now bronzers have sheen in them and I find I am missing my old style bronzer. The new PF bronzer looks so much like my old product!

Yes! I got the healthy liquid foundation but I can't use it at all. The scent is so overwhelming and gives me a headache every time I try it. It's a shame because I really like the finish.
Oh no I’m very sensitive to scents, the floral is going to be a big con! I love matte bronzers but I think I’m just going to stay with my Milani silky matte one.
After years of resisting the urge to buy the butter bronzer, I finally gave up and got it a month ago, and it's a gorgeous bronzer, but I need a light hand when applying it (people say it last for years without touching pan) I think this matte bronzer is a pass for me. Monoï oil is an infused perfume-oil made from soaking the petals of Tahitian gardenias (best known as Tiaré flowers) in coconut oil. So I bet the floral scent you're picking up is actually the monoi oil itself.
I love love love that they released a matte version. Definitely interested. I got the little 3-pan butter bronzer palette from Ulta (3 shades of the regular butter bronzer) and it was SUCH good value for plenty of product. One of my fave new purchases. I'm sure this would be a nice compliment to those three shades when I want some more matte-ness in my look.

You should try the Physicians Formula Complete box set. It's a big pink box and has everything you need to finish complexion, eyes, and lips! I love it
The new one looks similar to my PF matte booster bronzer but minus the floral scent. And I also own the PF butter bronzer. I’m obsessed with both of the PF bronzer I already own.
I really like this style of video. Knowing the difference between two very similar products with different formulas can be very helpful in deciding what is best to use for dry to normal skin vs. combo to oily skin.
They both look very good on you. Physicians Formula is my favorite bronzer and I need to find one that is similar to it. I do like the coconut smell to it.
