NEW PING G430 10k!!! THE DRIVER I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!! Will it replace my driver??? 

Played golf for 20+ years, never seen anyone improve so quickly, fair play to you 👏

Just bought G430 10k today, its probably the straightest and most forgiving driver I ever hit, and the distance has actually keep up with my Cobra Aerojet LS, which is impressive. In fact my most wanted driver this year would be: 1. Ping G430 10k - most forgiving, straight/good dispersion, good distance, excellent/good on low centre/low toe 2. Cobra Darkspeed X - good distance, good dispersion, coolest looking driver, good on high heel

Gaz, I’ve seen so many videos lately on swing weight and Pro’s also getting better dispersion and distance with that 10k max. So on that basis I’m surprised you weren’t taken through different shafts etc to make sure you have max performance out of that head. Gary Martin has done some great videos lately on exactly that at golf repairs 4u (I’m not sponsored 😀) Alterior motive is I’m in the G425 and am looking at the G430 10k max 👍🏼

Tried all the new drivers over the weekend, not a proper fitting but was lucky enough that Peter Field golf in Norwich let me use their GC Quad for half hour to have a few swings before booking a fitting. Narrowed it down to Ping 430 LST and the Callway AI Smoke, currently use the Callaway Rouge LST and there was a noticable difference between mine and those two. The Ping 10k wasnt for me, it was very easy to hit and was a fairway finder for sure, but was too spinny for me so I lost too much distance, the 430 LST though was further than my driver and felt good. WIll be booking a fitting soon to really narrow down the shafts.

The original max had a 25g weight as standard not 12 like the AG guy said. You need to swap the fitted weight on yours into the max 10k. The head weighs the same (stock 206g) so just use your old weight

Gaz, what effect did changing the standard 24g weight to a 12g have on your numbers mate?

new one is good but its not a major improvement i still think g425 and g430 are still on par with the new one.

Amazing driver , but cant justify paying almost £600 for 1 club . I will have it in my bag in 3 yrs time

Efficiency on the old ping is well off. Putting the stock weight back in will improve that and probably be comparable to the 10k

I’ve tried both of the cheating sticks as you call them, too spinny for me, 4300 plus spin, went nowhere. Callaway AiSmoke max, 2300 spin and 35 yards longer, still has the forgiveness. Basically we all swing it differently, so get fitted, try them all and make sure you also get to try non stock shafts. Ping shafts are rubbish and my fitter says, they are known for that, so decent shafts in the Ping heads go farther, whilst retaining forgiveness. I currently use a TSR 2, also very spinny, so fitter tried me with low spin drivers, but the AiSmoke is a low spin max club.

Be interested to know why your excitment level dropped off significantly after hitting it. It seems it didnt live up to your expectations despite good numbers and improvement. Thoughts?

Tried them all they all spin like crazy I’d need the LS With a super low spin shaft 😤

Put the lighter weight from your max in the 10k, see if clubhead speed goes up again

Numbers seem all over the show .... launch monitor really correct at 113mph only carrying 260?

Don’t think shafts are always simply a straight swap. To get best out of a club I thought y😮ou played the qi10 better

Change the back wgt. to 22 grams

12g in the max switched to 6g...that ain't right. Stock weight in the Max is 25g. Total head weight of the MAX vs 10k is exactly the same.

114 swing speed and only carry 250s or so?...something isn't right

It's all BS they have been bringing out new drivers for years and they are now costing a fortune. Normal golfers get no more distance. Tried out a cheap Dunlop driver against an expensive Cobra driver there was not much difference in distance and my friend to tried it plays of 10 handicap.😊

Ping drivers are for old men and women 🤷‍♂️🤣👍

Get the Dunlop back in the back enough of this nonsense
