Being in Australia we don't have Walmart or the Pioneer Woman line but I just discovered that Joann's does have an Australian site and flat rate shipping! So I'm really excited to get my hands on some of the great yarns that you often review! 😊

No we in South Africa too don't have Walmart....but I am aware of pioneer woman she has a cooking program on the food network channel and I have to agree with crystal that she is a beautiful woman inside and out. Didn't know she had her own name brand.😮

Crystal, I think not only does Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman, crochet and/or knit, I think her daughters do, too! I am a longtime fan of hers and also own her potholders, dishes, bowls, pots and pans, etc. My kids have all been gifted her pasta bowl and matching biwls for Christmas! I love seeing your Pioneer Woman things on your BOD channel! I saw a very nice magazine article showing how she decorated her daughters shared room quite awhile ago. She had a display of beautiful yarn skeins in their room! 🧶I loved that? She also home schooled her kids. She’s great! My Walmart had none of her yarn yet, but it does have all her matching fabric.

I love your channel as much for your principled approach to *everything* as for the yarn talk. You state your opinions as such and say that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Pricing is what it is and people are free to buy or not buy - or wait until a sale comes along. Live and let live. You are a walking, talking example that we would all do well to emulate. Please don't ever let the haters get you down. Keep shining your light! I don't think I own any Pioneer Woman stuff, but I was still drawn to the yarn when I spotted it at my WalMart and would happily use it to make things for those who use that palette - or even just for fun. 🧡

I agree with you, Crystal, licensed products will always come with an additional cost. Ultimately, the value of things is always a matter of what one thinks it’s worth. If I like something and it’s within my budget, I’ll purchase it no matter what. Appreciate you!!

My 93 year old mom never misses Pioneer Woman. Don't care if she knits or crochet. It's like you said, the yarns represent her very recognizable color palette. I may need to make something for Mom. Thanks for review. Very helpful.

If you have the Pioneer Woman line of kitchen/dining ware, then this yarn line is perfect for knitting or crocheting matching dishcloths, towel toppers, hot pads, place mats, etc. I think it was a brilliant idea.

I absolutely love her too, she has really good recipes as well as great taste in putting colors together, and her kitchen things make your table look great too. As busy as she is, I can’t imagine that she would have time to knit or crochet, but she might. I watched a program showing about her days, and she is very active in her community, and in her children’s schools, she’s a very caring and giving woman. I don’t see how people can talk bad about her.

Hi Crystal. With respect to the Pioneer Woman, , I don't follow her, or any other commercial personalities on TV, since we don't have or watch TV! Even so, my oldest daughter is deep into her mixers, dishes, and all things flowered and it is fun to visit her because her kitchen and dinning room have so much color. Lastly, I want to say that I feel your presentation of this new yarn was nicely done!! 🧶

I really love Ree Drummond , I have just about everything she has made , dishes, pots ,glasses ,crock pot ,coffee pot, towels, chair cushions I even made curtains out of a table cloth before she had curtains. I absolutely love that Coral mix, and the pink (looks a bit Rosey on screen). The mix reminds me of the Premier Bloom. I think it looks great. All yarn prices have gone up. Many of us have crocheted for years, so we have seen good yarn go from 99cents a skein, to $5 and $6 for a regular Red Heart Skein. This isn't a hobby for the faint of heart, where cost is concerned...not if you want it to last. And I want my hard work, that I put my love and energy into, to last. Heck, I have Afghans that are 35 years old...some older, and you would never know it ! Thank you again Crystal, for a great review ❤

As you are doing this review of PW yarn, I am watching and crocheting a table runner in Coral Stripes. I agree 100% on this review. This is my second table runner, I also made one in Teal Stripes. First, I am a PW junkie. I have a lot, lot of her merchandise. I was very happy with this yarn that I found at my local Walmart. They did not have the cakes. To me it does feel like Mainstay yarn, it’s easy to work with, I am using a 4.5 hook and I love the way the runner is coming along. It does rip out easy, I’ve had no knots in either color. I think the price is fair. The yarn colors does match placemats and dish towels that I own. I would buy more of this yarn. Very satisfied with my purchase. I have not washed my runners yet.

After her family’s accidents, I am sure there were many issues that needed to be resolved, hiring hand’s to help them with the ranch, medical bills; the list surely grew! Besides, she might not have taken that step, her publicist might have had the next step on her production line; discussed with her earlier! We done know! My daughter and I both love Pioneer Woman merchandise! I live with her and her family so we share everything we find! Works out well for both of us! I hadn't seen the Yarn before but I have seen the fabric in Walmart's quilting cuts. I'll be looking for the yarns. The price seems reasonable to me.

I didn't know about the Pioneer Woman. Next time I visit Walmart I will have to check it out for her items. My Walmart is small and the yarn section is very small, but I will look for her labels! Buy it or don't buy it like it or don't like it it's up to you the colors are beautiful I've seen them at my Walmart. But I won't be buying them they're just not up my alley but I appreciate Crystal for sharing this with us. Thank you.
