I just don't understand why so many people are all freaked out about the 19X. This exact same concept has been done for years. Take a look at the COLT Commander, short slide with full size frame. I think people just LOVE to hate on GLOCK for being so successful.
& I think their minds will change once they actually get their hands on one & shoot it ....I own one as well & I love it . It’s very well balanced when u shoot it .
I prefer the 19X over the 17 for appendix carry. I have large hands and don't like the standard 19s for CCW. Too much overhang. For short appendix holsters it's perfect. I love the thing.
My hands are barely too big for the 19 but I’m kinda skinny so the 17 handle kinda sticks outta my shirt. I’d rather slightly print than sacrifice a comfortable gun so I keep carrying the 19x just so I get a bit more compact
Congratulations on your review. I have just bought mine last week. Where I live in south america, we have to wait around 30 to 60 days to retrieve the gun from the local gun dealer, with all the necesary IDs. So, here I am waiting. People have been whinning over this gun because of the "long" grip. Funny, the G17 has decades in market, people have been carrying it in concealed carry for decades also...and no one has ever put a complain about full grip size. For me this model is perfection....a slide compact enough for a concealed carry holster such an appendix carry, and a grip big enough to carry 17+1 rounds yet not so big to conceal it through a shirt, sweat shirt, long t shirt, etc. If someone is trying to find a gun that meets all market criteria (magazine capacity, slide size, frame size, sights, color, safety, dimensions, etc) then good luck with that. Each gun has its advantages and its cons. Again for me, this is perfect combination because it mixes size and capacity. Perfect concealing size and excellent round capacity. Congrats on your sincerity and very well done video sir. You've got yourself a new suscriber here.
I like g19’s but I don’t have girly hands but g17’s fit prefect with my man hands , the g19x I get both and its a win for me. one more thing, if you can conceal the G19x your doing it wrong. G19x just isn’t for the fan boys I guess
Glock did not lose, if the military testing would have been properly done with full stress test then the Glock would have easily shown best. When the military saw the underbidding by Sig they went for it. Glock is a great pistol, and the haters have to get over it.
I liked it when I put hands on it, but I LOVED it from the first range trip. That full size grip you can really latch onto with the support hand, and shorter/lighter slide than the 17, just seems to snap the gun back on target quicker between shots. Yeah it's shorter sight radius, but the how much do you need for that type of pistol? the FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Center) record qualification score was held by a shooter with a Glock 26 for many years.
My 19x doesn't print on me at all. No more than a regular 19 or whatever. I'm 6'1" 175lb. (Tall & lanky) I've had a few Glocks over the years & lost them due to trading, pawning or just tight $ times. I'm hanging on to this G19X! She has everything I need. Now the trigger was funky on mine when I got her. So I polished everything, then I noticed the Trigger Bar was rubbing a little plastic hump just inside the rear of the frame, I sanded that down & repolished everything. Now she's a sweet 3.5lb pull with a short crisp reset. At 25 yards & in? She drives nails..
Enjoyed the review. I've owned and carried Glocks for years. Since they first became popular due to an incident in Texas. I've been carrying my G43 for 3 years. However. Now with the Sig pistols coming out with their M17, M18, I decided to purchase a P365 for carry. I purchased an M17 Comm. And saving to buy an M18. Think I've finally left Glock behind. They're awesome firearms. But I do believe other companies have passed them up. Nevertheless. I'm going to purchase an 19X to have both military entries, along with the Beretta variant.
@@joshuab.8904 Joshua, it's not an incident I prefer to discuss, mainly since I don't like the fact that events that occur, tend to have the media attack gun ownership, and also gives the market an opportunity to mark up prices based on the loss of lives. However, I did make the comment about the Texas event. I won't mention names or businesses since this is a public venue. Glocks were not very well known prior to thus event. Or, they may have been. But due to this incident, prior to internet sales, finding a G17 was a daunting task. I was one of the persons searching for a G17 after the incident. It took me a couple months to find one. The event in short: There was a couple going through a divorce. The husband showed up at a popular cafeteria, where the wife and attorney were meeting for the case. The husband drove his vehicle through the windows and shot multiple customers with his pistol. The news highlighted the event, which brought the pistol brand to the forefront. It was hard to find that particular pistol at that time. There weren't various models as there is now. There was only 1 model available at that time. It's a very sad day when these events take place. I still think back to that day, and other events that have taken place since then. They have hit close to home.
I replaced my dot connector with a standard connector and put ameriglo agents on mine…the trigger was too mushy so the standard connector fixed that right up
The Glock Night Sights are super Bright also! Mine drives nails out to 25y. The gun definitely shoots better than me. She's a sweet girl! I polished everything that had to do with my trigger.. I took that "Mooshy" Gritty Feel out of mine by polishing everything, lightly sanding & polishing the rear inside of the frame that the trigger bar rubs against & installed the 3lb Black Yikes Connector & OMG! She's very nice now.. No need for an aftermarket trigger now.. Nice Straight Forward Review!!
I don’t own one but I shot one and liked it. It’s a duty service gun. I have the gen 3 19 and I think the trigger is better than the 19x. I will get the 19x sooner or later I like the color and the size very comfy in the hand. 👍🏻👍🏻 thanks for the video
Nice showcase, brother. I would love to do a 19l modification to one of my Glock 17's. I find that the G17 prints more than the G19 because of the grip size.
I find it interesting that the 19X is of similar design idea as the FN 509. Both have compact slides on full size frames. I’m glad people like them but for me it goes the opposite direction. I prefer a 17 slide on a 19 frame. Looking at getting my hands on the new Brownells 19 long slide. Would love to see a video on that comparing it to the Lone Wolf slide adapter.
Michael Blackburn I hear that a lot. Personally, I like the look and feel for the 19x. That being said, stay tuned...I will have a Brownells long slide video up soon...
So for us poor souls in stupid states like Colorado that limited our mag capacity to 15 rounds do they just give you three 15 round mags or is there any way they try to compensate you if they cant give you the extended ones? Anyone had any experience with that problem?
I know all kinds guys with extended basepads on 19 glock , after that just buy a 19 x .Just like glock43 , everyone wanted a single stack 9mm, even griped after glock 42 came out about a 9 mm . How do u think they could make almost as small ? Make it 6 rd too' , so they knew it be low capacity. People in gun community just bitch. I hear no safety like miltary trials gun, i say thats why i like glocks if i need gun its ready to fire , without fumbling around with a safety. O by the way 19x is best glock they made to date i think.
