Do you ever go to a garden centre "Just to look" ? I did that the other day and came back with a tray of new plants. In this video I'm going to plant tow of them in my pollinator garden. These are both tough North American Native plants. They are deer resistant and attract pollinators. One, Culver's Root, is good for damp locations. The other, Pow Wow Wild Berry Coneflower, is good for dry areas. They both love full sun and will make a statement in the garden.

Plants for sale in a garden center are dangerous matters. Lovely plants👍

Very true 😀. There’s enough temptation without adding a discount.

They really are and make gardening easier. Picking plants that developed in these conditions is a great way to garden. Thanks for taking time to watch and comment. I know life is very busy for you right now. Take care.

I love echinaceas they are beautiful and undemanding. Clement farms is a great greenhouse. They do a pop up here every summer and I purchase a lot of plants there. They seem to bring in more annuals and veg, but always nice and healthy.

Any native is a good native to plant I feel.

Some can really take over so you have to know your plant and the space you are willing to give them.

Do you store mulch in those buckets of winter? Been doing some research on good ways to store leaves to put out on veg garden next spring.

I have large bags of leaves, an old outdoor storage bench, and a pallet compost bin full of leaves that I store. They are tucked behind my coldframe.

What happened to the coneflowers you planted before?

I plan to do a tour of my flower beds soon. I planted three powWow White last year in a bed across the yard from this one. Only one has come back. I think they were labelled zone 4 so they were a stretch for my zone 3. The Wild berry is labelled zone 3.
