Well, I guess that cats out of the bag...I sold Serban the SPL Machine Head years ago and he has been using since he got it. Serban does have one other outboard piece of gear in his rack that he uses from time to time. As a matter of fact I have sold Serban all his gear since the late nineties. I never told anyone the Serban used the Machine Head. I even hunted down the second Machine Head for Serban's business partner - John Hanes. The limitation of this unit is it goes up to 48k. I tried talking SPL into making more Machine Heads but they did not see the point.
Still very surreal to see this all come into fruition finally! It’s been an amazing journey and to see it finally live is still hard to sink in. Congrats brotha on achieving one of the biggest “Tonehunts” yet! It’s also just the beginning too! 💪💪
One of the first plug ins , in a seperate box.. No analog.. just AES/EBU and S/PDIF... thus maybe, even clocking external , or using it as a master could possibly change the algo ? Interesting, as it was based around a pair of Motorola 56002 DSP chips clocked at 66MHz. It would (should) without doubt, sound the same... No snake oil here... It has to sound the same! And we can run more than one ! Will check it out.
No wayyy! Definitely checking this one out asap. Thought "he" (we all know who) was fully in the box so this is a pleasant surprise. Thanks for sharing!
This looks sick. Also heard it on the Collin Brittan NTM, sounds sick. Will have to try it out. Would liove it if you guys someday did a rent to own for your plugins.

Spl has always developed processors that are very innovative, original &/or unique... I saw these in there range of products back when i was in my late teens... These were part of a few products at that time for which were 1 of maybe 3 red panel 1U digital SPL rack processors... Cant remember what the other 1 or 2 digital SPL rack things are that this was in the range of... But i do remember this one catching my attention more so than others did... Never saw any of these red digital spl's pop up 2nd hand in my time. But a lot of the Gold Tube series SPL's of the same era, ive now owned or worked with others who owned certain SPL goldie oldies too. This plug will be on my asap shopping list now 4 sure.
@@JorgeGutierrez-kd4hb Serban gave us a preset that corresponded to his "static" mix into the box settings, which, according to John Hanes is what they primarily used to minimize recall issues. Its in the preset list for the plug-in; its called "Serban Ghenea - The One"
