Thanks a lot for this Video. Seems to be a good Interface for Content Creators as well as for many other use cases. Greetings from Germany, Roger

Thinking about grabbing one so I have a usb bus powered interface. I also have a profx6v3 but that requires a power brick.

It’s a love and hate thing with Presonus. I would hate to get it and then boom they drop another version with more channels, however I think it’s great for a mobile setup

The number of channels is only limited by your computer's power. New versions have to be introduced when they come up with new features. There's nothing that says you MUST upgrade! Also, you wait for Black Friday; they usually run some sweet specials on updates at that time.

Are you running your SM7B's straight in without a Cloudlifter or other booster? If so, where did you have to set your gain?
@Pixelproaudio
@Pixelproaudio 3 года назад
Yes, we ran the mics directly into the io24 and then adjusted the gain level on the Revelator to peak around -6dB. We were happy that the Revelator was able to give us enough gain for the SM7b's. On another note, admittedly, we had the gate "up" too high for our liking.

@@Pixelproaudio Thanks. I think one of the things that most people want to know about any new audio interface is whether it completely eliminates the need for a $150 mic booster on an SM7B. The manufacturer that truly achieves that at a $200 price point is going to sell a ton of them.

@@stub7983 never understood the need to have a pre amp for my pre amp, so knowing that this is directly input w/o a lifter is pleasing. I'm okay with having the option to purchase a pre amp or not which is why I already ordered mine.

Unfortunately, you would still want a Cloudlifter for any kind of live broadcast.

Hey , thanks for the video! I have a question: is there a way to record the two inputs separately? It looks like it sees 1/2 always as a single source. But with a podcast that would mean I can’t adjust the levels afterwards if one of them was to quite or something. Can you record each input as two separate channels? Thank you!

You should be able to assign channel 1 and 2 to their own track in your DAW. Go into the I/O setup in your DAW and assign the channels to Tracks 1 and 2.

I guess eventually the FAT channel that was in the old 1818VSL, that disappeared in Studio 1824 and is in Studio 192, now trickling its way down again.

Only other thing I can think of like this is the MOTU UltraLite-mk5 and that's like 3x the cost. It is more capable from a studio perspective, but seems like a steal at $200. All other dsp interfaces seem to be at least $1K

Provide power via USB-C, it will work in stand alone
