This is trash lol. 1. Freewell done this already and the glass is much better quality. 2. Takes the same amount of time. There is no difference. Depends on how agile the individual is. 3. You be paying for something that is not a problem at all. Just a gimmick. 4. Moment cinebloom is universally agreed as the best defusion filters besides tiffen pro mist/prism fx dream filter. In 6th place, are these poor quality polar pro mist. There's been comparison videos to prove this.

Are you using 1/4 or 1/2 mist filter bro ?

How does it compare ( including with wider angles lenses and photography) to the new Freewell k2 vnd, the Nisi vnd true colors and the kase Wolverine revolution vnd ? ( those seem to be the very top vnd, mostly magnetic filter, except the nisis) in terms of optical quality, colorimetry etc
@m.visuals
@m.visuals Год назад
Good question! There is a slight vignette at 16mm as mentioned which is a shame but the quality is great, from the build to the picture quality !
@creativetom413
@creativetom413 Год назад
It looks amazing. I'm hesitating between those ones, the freewell k2, the nisi true color and maybe the kase wolverine mag v3. Do they suit well with photography at 16 mm ?
@m.visuals
@m.visuals Год назад
Good question, at 16mm there was a very slight vignette but that was it. With the addition of the polorizer (coming out soon) this is the best all round solution but does weigh a lot for photographers carrying multiple lenses as well. It's just going to be down to personal preference but I really love the quality of these ones by PolarPro
@jordantennant6197

Is the vignetting at 16mm something that can be fixed in post?
@rickymcc9072
@rickymcc9072 11 месяцев назад
@@jordantennant6197Ha ha, that sounds like a trick question. In short no. If you effectively cut off the corners then you lost the visual info. But many workarounds, maybe? You could crop in post slightly, but that's like using a less wide lens eg 17,18,19mm etc. You could effectively replace/clone stuff over the dark area to hide the vignetting. Easier with stills but possible in video too, just even more tricky. You could take 2 similar, but moved, images then effectively combine/'stitch them so vignette was replaced by what would have been there. But whatever you think you can do one soon realises that in most instances it's easier/quicker overall to resolve issues at time of shooting rather than attempting to 'fix in post. That principle applies well beyond photography/videography e.g. sound recording and a lot more too I.e. do it right or do it twice. That said in some film scenarios it might be almost impossible (or too expensive) to shoot it right in camera, so there is still a use case for green screens then adding backgrounds later.

There are two strengths of Mist filters, 1/2 and 1/4. Which one are you using in the video? Thanks!

can you stack the filters like mist on top of goldmorphic
@m.visuals
@m.visuals Год назад
Yes ! I did it for part of the video at the end with the gold and bluemorphic filters
@poppincam
@poppincam 10 месяцев назад
The gold and blue anamorphic has already been made by prism lens fx as well as moment. And both have a stronger and beautiful effect than the polar pro. Comparison videos have proven this. You just paying extra for lower quality gear. Just some advuce
@matthewtomlinson9853
@matthewtomlinson9853 Год назад
Its a good concept but i think it seriously needs work, especially pricewise and bulk. If i did my math right, you had about $1800 give or take on the table at the beginning of the video (not including caps and rings.
@m.visuals
@m.visuals Год назад
Yeah, or more $ so they are pricey. You are paying for the PP quality. Obviously the big thing with this is you don't need multiple, just one and then the rings. And also you don't need to have EVERY filter there, just the ones you use so if I was buying my first set, i'd get the VND 2-5, Mist, and if I had extra cash the bluemorphic.
@rogerdatfilms
@rogerdatfilms Год назад
@@m.visuals newbie here. Whats the difference between the mist and the 2-5 kit they offer? its only 30 dollars more for the kit. Is it the same thing ?

Always found in the past circular filters give really bad vignette hence why I use 100mm x 100mm ND filters. What’s the vignette like on these?
@bnehus11
@bnehus11 7 месяцев назад
I only see vignetting at 15mm or wider.
@acovian23

what about smaller thread filters like 67mm? most of my primes are 67
@WayofMJ

they make a 67mm backplate that you can fit your maglock filter onto

Hmm so you want me to spend $1600+ on all the option which Freewell made several years before at $400 +200 just because Peter added his name to it by adding that locking system they eliminate the option to use CPL like in Freewell as well as they have Mist, streak, several other features which this system doesn't.
@m.visuals
@m.visuals Год назад
It really depends on the quality you want to have with you. There will always be cheaper options out there, which is also great because it makes things accessible to more people! This system is the best out there, but yes it's a more expensive option.
@TeamCarpFishing
@TeamCarpFishing Год назад
The main difference that sets the polar pro apart, and the reason the polar pro is superior is that the freewell has a base 1 stop drop in magnetic filter, onto which you need to put the 2 - 5 stop filter over, and therefore having to remove 2 filters to completely remove the system. While the polar pro comes completely off with one twist. For me its a game changer for hybrid shooting, when you're capturing videos, then want to snap a few pictures with the same camera, youre not fumbling multiple filters. Yes its more expensive, but very well worth the extra cost in my opinion

Love your channel and…London! One suggestion, potentially, you have many millions of amateur and professional photographers in the U.S.A., most of whom are going to have a bit of a struggle in getting to understand everything you are saying, BUT…at your energized rate of speech, many never will. TIP: Please slow the _ _ _ k down!

Thanks for showing how impractical these are. Slows down.. and u end up carrying a bunch of items. You then realise.. this was a gimmick and your money is gone
