Lisa, when you swatched the powders on your fingers at 3:30 in the video, the name of each powder is not in the correct place. The lightest color, Celestial Light is swatched on your middle finger, but the name is posted for your ring finger, which is actually where the darker powder is swatched. I just wanted to make you aware of this. Thank you for another enjoyable & informative video.

If using a light hand and buffing well into the skin, this does everything it claims it will. It is absolutely GORGEOUS, and I'm older than most of you I'm sure, at 56 years old, my skin's texture is not emphasized with this powder and it's smooth and pores are blurred and it does litany look like light is bouncing of my face in the most perfect areas and the most perfect way. Again, just a month ago feels like 3 and I'm trying to figure out what I was initially thinking upon initial application bc I can't say enough how much I love this powder. Again, a light hand is key. And it looks beautiful on you, Lisa! It does not look too glowy, not to me anyway.

Hi Lisa! For anyone that wants just a little bit of shine, the LM Translucent Glow is perfect. It adds just a tiny tiny bit of shimmer that doesn’t accentuate my fine lines/wrinkles on my 51 yr old face

Thanks for the review Lisa. Both powders look lovely on you. I just ordered the Celestial Light. I hope it works for me. I have had the original LM setting powder and used all of it. So then I ordered the LM Glow setting powder- too much glow on that one. I have lots of setting powders- love the Chanel ones and Lancome Pearl Absolue as well as La Mer and Clea de Peau. I also love the Givenchy Prism Voile Rose and Mousselline Pastel.

I just received this powder in a monthly beauty kit. I love it. I am 52. My 17 year old daughter commented on how smooth my skin looked. And this was at the end of the day. I had applied it in the morning to attend a brunch. Definitely felt like it was more in the highlighter family when I applied it. But again, loved it and really loved the photos that were taken of me that day.

Dry skin here. 41 years old. This reminds me of the Koh Gen Do powder, which I enjoy the same way. Evenings and special occasions. This was very helpful. It will take me years to go through that powder. This reminds me of a loose version of hourglass.

So happy to see this review. I saw these in Ulta beauty and was intrigued. It was really hard to tell which shade so this helps so much. I honestly thought the Celestial & now think the honey one wb better. I had bought a similar type of powder from Believe beauty. It's is gorgeous in the pan. I'd been using it all over but one day was looking in the mirror (magnified) & it looked awful! Was accentuating my pores really badly. I now think I'll try just the highlight type of areas. Think I might pass on this one? I currently have too many others I'm wanting. Lol

The best finishing powder with luminous finish is the hourglass one. I have dry skin, 45 year old texture. This seems too shiny for me.

Always love your videos!!! I loved these powders but I’m with others that I may only use as highlighter because of my pores although yours do not stand out to me!! Hair…always on point..love your lip color and your top looks so cute.. but when I went to check It out in link..it was a different top! Any chance you could look and see? I put an extremely light dusting on after my translucent Mercier powder - sides of forehead, sides of cheekbones and a bit on the chin. A very small amount.

I have the brown one. I go g like it at all under the eyes. It gives it to much shimmer. It’s a much better fit for the cheeks. The original hunny is much better. I just tried the Rihanna butter. I fell in love with it

I’m wondering how this compares to Lancome Absolute Powder. I have that one in rose and it’s just a beautiful tint that blurs your face and gives it that glow. It looks great except for in photography I think it shows more fine lines and wrinkles in photography but not when I wear it and look in the mirror and I’ve gotten tons of compliments on my skin when I wear this powder. Great review and you are absolutely beautiful and so pleasant to watch! New subscriber💞

I'm very fair, so the lighter one would be best for me. But the honey highlight worked with your skin great. I'm not on the highlight trail yet, still trying the hooded eyes and just haven't mastered it. Great demo

So, honesty from one of your biggest fans☺️...when you got up close and personal you looked like your usual flawless self and that first application of the lighter powder made your pores waaay more visible. It left me wondering if the translation through video is different than the in person visual🤔 I also wonder if your filming lights/ring light give any product a different effect than what we would normally see in “real life”...? Especially a light reflecting product!! Also, I noticed you went darker on the hair again! I LOVE! How did you achieve this with your hairdresser? I’d love to chill out some of my summer balayage and do this for fall😍 Thanks for all you do!!

I think if you buff it down with a little bit denser brush after you apply it you may like that celestial color better. Because I have the Lancome absolute powder which is what appears to be kind of the same thing you can really buff it in to the skin.

I really really love this product! I usually set my face (all over) with matte powder first and then go over my face in 3 motion (forehead/cheek/jaw) and it’s perfect! Illuminated but not glittery 😊 I wonder if it looks too shiny bc you didn’t set your face first with matte powder first? Glitter loves to stick to any little bit of moisture 😢

I’m so curious about two things for a possible follow up video. First, how would they look all over your face using the BK Beauty 102 brush? Second, how do they compare to the YSL 3-D glow powder you showed in a previous video last month? Thanks for testing and reviewing.

102 brush much better! Still too shimmery for me all over. The 3D isn't as shiny in my opinion. And because the 3D is more of a skintone color with a hint of radiance, it's much softer and diffused. I could definitely see me using this for a night out full glam look though, its beautiful, just not practical for this Texas girl ;)

The honey star looks amazing on your skin! Do you think Hourglass finishing powders would be appropriate for touch ups? I have oily skin and usually use MAC ‘next to nothing’ to touch up. Unfortunately as soon as I discovered it, they seem to have discontinued it. Most powders seem to look so heavy as a touch up powder. (I initially set with becca hydra mist) . And if the hourglass would work well, do you know of any dupes? I know blush and bronzers that give the same effect but not the finishing powders. Thank you, I love all your videos !

These look just a wee bit too highlighter-esque for me unless you go in with a verrrrrry light hand. I appreciate their effort to formulate a glowy setting powder, but I’m still not sure about it. Would you consider a comparison video of the Elf Halo setting powder on one side compared to this, Lisa? Maybe as a RU-vid short since I know you already invested a lot of time in this full review. 💗

When you turn to the side with the white powder.. it seems to really accent the bumps on the side of your face...I'm fair skinned ... I think I'd go with the honey which didn't seem to accent the bumpiness. Due to aging, I notice my skin is dryer and bumperier looking now

I think the darker shade definitely was a better match for your skin tone and looked pretty…not too much glow. I think the light shade would probably work for someone with a fair to very light skin tone. But definitely this product needs a light touch to look best.

Nooooooooooo, this one, most definitely, is NOT for me! I think LM has tried to emulate the candle lit powders by Hourglass. Unfortunately, if I'm correct, they really missed the mark here. Using it as a highlighter seems like a great idea, it's very pretty and, imo, will suit younger skin (like yours ) beautifully. Would it have been a more user friendly product had it not had the sparkly effects? I think so but, again, I could easily be wrong. I really appreciate you sharing this with us, and literally saving me from buying a product I won't use (bear in mind, here in the UK makeup cannot be returned). 💗💗❣❣💗💗

I think it’s a pretty powder but I thought it accentuated your pores slightly on the cheeks near your nose, it’s definitely something for nighttime wear, I personally wouldn’t wear it as it’s got too much of a glow for my liking, I’d like to see you applying it in a different way and not starting off on your cheeks where most of the product is going to be, I wonder if you started to apply it from the forehead and work your way down so it’s not so glowy on the cheeks, just applying it around the perimeter of your face instead of all over, But Lisa, you could get away with wearing anything on your face and still look beautiful 🤩. I think I heard revolution beauty loose in the banana. Dont quote me. But she did recommend No 7 Lift and Luminate Triple Action Finishing powder previously as I bought it. I really like it to blot and to blur pores.

And after I wrote my comment, I did some research, and apparently Revolution is the one with the banana color. I don't know why I thought Lisa had said No.7. But also, I can't remember I'd she said it came in a loose and pressed. I swear I'm losing my mind🤣

Well, I can't understand how only a month ago I felt that way because I have since come to love this powder. And it feels like it's been at least a couple of months, oh well! That's weird. Anyway yes, I absolutely love this powder and I find it utterly gorgeous on the skin.

I tried it and it looked like I rubbed highlighter all over my face, not for me, this is not an everyday product,, its for photographs, it accentuates your texture and age.

Not for me..! Both powders are too shiny for my preference. I have not tried anything from LM before because I've heard the most prods from the brand are for oily skin which I don't have; my skin is combo but mostly dry.

I wish you had not cut off, or edited out the entire process of applying the powder to the left side of your face. You gave us an entire look of how you applied it on the right side of your face then on the left side you seem to tap it on your cheek and then suddenly the frames were gone and it was as if a whole chunk of video is gone.. It's very important to me to learn how to apply these powders so I was disappointed you cut that off, especially because it was a different color so then I began to wonder did she not want that color did it not match for skin as well is that why she only put it in the center of her cheek? Wish you could clarify this for me

She mentioned that she applied to the entirety of that side, so I’m guessing she edited for time. Although I was surprised too; usually youtubers will simply speed up the footage. But I disagree that you needed to see it , it was the same as the right side shown (our left), except she first blotted her brush on a towel.

@@Puglover130 thanks so much for this. I think I knew that she did the left side of her face about the same as the right but since it was a different color powder I really wanted to see it go on. I thought that there was a discernible difference in the way the two sides of her face looked and I'm just very interested in these things. I don't have a lot of experience with powder and I need all the help I can get☺ actually lately I have gotten a couple of foundations that are better not set with powder but I am trying to learn to use finishing powder.

I’m sorry, they look like straight up highlighters. Beautiful, but in my opinion, they look like highlighters more than setting powders. But hey, just my opinion.
