A lot of you simply misunderstands the ocean concept with Prada. It about the depth, vastness and unknown dark mysteriousness ominous type deal of the ocean. That makes it cool, dark, warm but captivating. That’s the idea of the “ocean” here. You’re all conditioned to think of the ocean as the fresh aquatic light scent. That’s not the point here. It’s fascinating how none of you understand this nuance.
I picked this up couple days ago and being i already loved the Ocean EDT version i was really questioning if the EDP version would be better or not. The Eau De Parfum Ocean is 🔥
@@Alwaysbeclosing1774 sorry just getting back to your question. I think its good in warm weather. I have wore it now when it was in the 80 degree range and it performed very well. I would consider it an all year around cologne

Got a tester of this with my first Acqua Di Gio, and man... this is intoxicating. I've never smelled a blue fragrance that was creamy at the same time, they did something really special here.
I blind bought this and was surprised by the smell as you indicated this is misnamed, but wow is it good, this is my favorite Luna Rosa. I’ve worn it twice now and both times got the someone smells really good as I walked into the space. It projects well, lasts long and has a decent scent trail.
So I tested this once at macy and was kinda shocked it was an ocean edp smelled closer to black but still loved it. Then tried the edp at sephora and it was COMPLETELY different so idk if it batch variation but it was like a completely different scent.
I got this and the "grapefruit essence" fades almost instantly - get just the incense and vanilla bean. But it is a great scent! Highly recommended. Also I agree about the performance... not great.
I sampled this earlier this week. This smells nothing like the EDT to my nose. The opening smells nice, but it’s very short lived. In the dry down, it’s a vanilla bomb. It smells very similar to PR Invictus Victory. The EDT smells better IMO. I wish it performed better. The EDP is a pass for me.
I’m an excellent example of what you just said. Was in the shop and told myself it smells like the original not really interested(never owned) and I love it. As in im buying this off my managers World duty free emporium discounts next week (40% ish) 🤝
The bottle for the EDP that I have is slimmer and lighter weight than the other bottles in the Luna Rossa Line. Anyone else experience this difference?
This one is awesome! It’s very similar to PDM Layton but slightly sweeter, darker and with more longevity. They should have launched it as a completely new fragrance. Definitely not a flanker of the original. I have been wearing both and after 4 hours this one wins.
Idk why Its called Ocean it smells nothing like an aquatic scent. The EDP is its own fragrance smelling like vanilla and woods with the tiniest hint of grapefruit in the opening.
I tried Oceand EDT on my right wrist and Black on my left. The Ocean EDT lasted all damned day. Black is my fav, but it was a skin scent after about 4-5 hours. I can only imagine the EDP is even better.
Between all my Iris frags, Prada’s LR Ocean EDT receives the most compliments. Yeah it beats DH (original), DHI, DHP, Prada’s L’homme line, Givenchy Gentlemen line, you name it. Disappointed not to see a dedicated iris note (really this is Prada after all). Still I’m gonna try it and most likely buy it.
Several reviewers already confirmed it does have Iris in it even though it is not mentioned in the ingredients. Not as dominant as in other scents but it’s still present.
See for me i'm not sure this is the one to get cause i'm buying Ocean for a summer lighter, fresh fragrance. richer, heavier, sweeter, is not likely what i'm after. Everything I've heard of this is it's thicker and not really for warmer weather which to me goes against ocean. But i haven't smelled it yet. i'll smell before i choose. It seems to be going away from exactly what i'm looking for, which is that fresh summer oceany scent. i'm buying for smell not for performance by the way. But i do want to check this out.
The ocean EDT last 10-12 hours on average on my skin. Crazy how scents can last different depending on your skin. I have the new EDP and it only last 6ish hours on average off my skin. On a good day maybe up to 8 hours. Been wearing it for the past week since I got it. Overall I personally like the way the EDT smell more and performs better for me.
@@NandoYepiz I can still smell it on my cloths the next day. Maybe it’s just a scent that my nose can pick up better. I do five sprays on my neck and two under my shirt. I just have trouble picking up the EDP scent. I tried more sprays and less sprays to see if I am just going nose blind. It’s possible my bottle might not be the best even know it’s brand new.
@@jamesluft5792I sprayed edp on my wrist (one spray) and smelled it 10 hours later. You need to take better care of your skin or something because this forsure lasts longer than the edt
Sprayed it on paper a few weeks ago and it smelled exactly the same as the EDT to me. Didn't even bother spraying it on skin since I own the EDT. Regret not testing it on skin now :(
It’s COMPLETELY different. It opens kind of similar in terms of “fresh” but very quickly goes sweet. Like, 5 minutes maybe not even. This stuff is sooooo good. It’s turning into my signature scent pretty quickly.
It doesn’t at all Black is still the best hands down! Living in NYC (not bragging) we get everything first and I tried them all …Black and Carbon are best
wondering if you knew if the result of mixing (layering) CDNIM (edt,edp) and armaf Untold and get better or worse results than alexandria fragrances game time, if it better or the same then the price is a lot better for 105ml+105ml than 100 ml of Game time. Untold is hard to get here in eu atm.
I’d contact Prada and throw a small fit about it,, and I bet they’d send you a fresh new bottle that meets their quality control standards . Completely free then you could give it away to one of us😅
Smelled this today, the newest Azzaro Wanted edp, Victory Elixer, and Badboy Extreme. Surprisingly, the best smell on skin and dry down was the bad boy. The ocean was very weak, and I just didn't care for it. It's not worth the price at all to me.
@Jon B It smelled good. Kinda fresh to me, a safe, mass appealing type. The lady really didn't get a spray on the strip for me. It's the only one I didn't get on skin.
I got the EDT and the girls love it. But the performance disappoints me, I don’t get longer than 3 hours. I hope the performance on this one is at least 5 hours
i almost passed on the EDP cuz it reminded me soooo much of Dior Sauvage which i absolutely love...but i kinda dig the melted vanilla bean ice cream vibes it gives so i went ahead and pulled the trigger and got it lol.
