i have to agree with uncle bucko. i personally dont like this time of year, i have spent at least 60% of my life during holiday time alone, but dont press my mood onto others who love it, got to enjoy all the moments in life, thank you for another year of wholesome car stuff, who would of thought the two can work so well, even though i am not in the same wheel house as far as hearts go for cars, if it makes smoke out the pipe we all in it together, 23 is going to be a solid year for the whole family extended and all.
You are correct! We have to enjoy all the moments! You and I are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to being alone! My wife and I have 6 kids ranging from 19 to. 2 y.o. Sometimes I think man I would do anything for a little bit of time alone but then again I enjoy having everyone around when I know that there will be a time where they will all grow up and be living their own lives and know that I need to enjoy all the times together that we do have
@@Speedy123youknowme agree 100%, you want to be in the golden years filled with a room of all the kids and grand kids, thats what makes life in my opinion,
A decade spent in the military working every holiday and getting that day off some other time during the year eliminated the thought of holidays meaning anything for me. Just another day. Ten years ago this coming May my final relationship ended, will not be having another one, because I enjoy sleeping indoors rather than in the only car the state lets me keep as they give her everything else of value. My kids are in their late 20s, I see them every few years, the youngest calls me sometimes so its all good. I got used to it in the military and when their mother would screen calls or change numbers to prevent me from calling them on special days. I'm not a grinch, don't hate holidays and I am not lonely. I'm a few years older than Bill, I have my hotrods, trucks, and muscle car projects, and two Siberian Huskies since I live in the north. They get a whole hotdog in the morning on holidays, and a big dollop of peanut butter on some crackers later in the day. They don't know what day it is, but thats ok. I tell people happy holidays and merry christmas all the time, even though I don't care about any of it. Its being polite, thoughtful, and I am not an unhappy man. In fact I am more content and happier than I have ever been in my life, living alone in the woods, building cars, improving my land, building my house, and making the shop better so I can do more work. With everything I have been through in life, this is a nice enjoyable break from other humans. Next year as long as the world hasn't gone completely to he11, I will be pulling my trailer around, moving old cars from the family farm to my shop 1000 miles away, and pulling the car I built to go racing to some tracks around the country. Maybe I will go race Bill for fun.. Have some enjoyable holidays with the people you care about, doing things you enjoy, and with luck next year will be a good one.
@@SweatyFatGuy I'm willing to bet that you're a GOOD Man. Some people will never know the headspace you find in Solitude. You can truly not feel "alone" and be very content. It's not a show or a "front". For those who can make "Relationships" and/or Family work, all the power to you. Truly. Take care.
Wasn’t too excited when my dog woke me up for the third time last night/early this morning at 4am, but once I saw an Old Man’s Garage video was posted I thought what the hell. It was worth it! Glad the Ole Bu is back in race condition and ready for tweaks. No need to thank us Bill. Definitely enjoy every video posted.
Hey Bill, I just had to let you and Vicki know I still have the card from last year. I wish you an excellent spray of NOS. Thank God you found the gremlins in the Malibu.
Good to see the problems weren't anything too serious and could be quickly remedied over a couple days and not a pile of cash! Still moving in the right direction. On the drone subject... my first drone I got and flew my house on Christmas day just like you did in the shop, very cool experience and I was super excited to start making footage with it. First time I took it outside to launch it off my porch the gyro was slightly off balance it went up over corrected and smashed into a wrought iron chair. Instantly broken and unfixable. Super cool machine I enjoyed for almost 5 whole minutes. :(
Bill you and uncle bucko are a hoot never a dull moment it's good to see you getting the bugs worked out of the Malibu looking forward to seeing a full hit with the steering wheel in tact and the seat upright don't want to see anything happen to you or the Malibu. God bless you all and as always be safe 👍
Probably the only channel I ever look forward to seeing videos from, everything from the car stuff to the storyline and the different amusing characters is very fun to watch. Thank you Bill merry Christmas.
I really enjoy when you get to go into detail on stuff. I use some of your videos when planning daughter C10 nitrous build. Your family helps the racing community out big time!!!
I have really enjoyed the Malibu's transformation. My love for racing has always been for street cars that are fast. Your commentary and editing make your videos the best on RU-vid.
I greatly appreciate you all Bill, the word maintenance comes up often in your garage, since you've started your channel is how I've maintained my sanity. Thank you and all of you have a Merry Christmas
Best part of the video was watching Chevy bouncing like a deer in tall grass chasing safety bob and finally catching him! 😂 thanks for starting my Friday off with a good laugh!
If you broke the steering wheel, what is happening with the original stock front seat? Would hate to see the demise of the Malibu if the front seat suddenly turned into a recliner with you getting a good view of the headliner while trying to get the car stopped. It has happened, I know. Be safe and keep up the good work. I eagerly await the release of each new video.
@@hartrods - I am Big Bills fathers age. I hot rodded in the ‘60s thru the ‘80s. This story has nothing to do with Bill’s broken steering wheel but is listed under person with money and no common sense. My parts man named Tom D back then was telling me about another customer who acquired an old Sox and Martin Pro Stock car. He had just gotten the car and wanted to see how good it ran. He did not move the seat yet to fit his smaller stature, but hey it’s just a little burn out. Needless to say, this story doesn’t end well. He lost control of the car and what stopped him was a number of parked cars in the used car lot next door to his business. Hot rod no more.
Love this Video with all the tech. stuff. I would love for to give use a complete run down on as many of the part numbers in the current combination as possible. Including the fuel system. Assuming of course that you feel comfortable doing so. Thanks again .
I appreciate the quality videos you put out Bill. The success you are having with your channel has been hard earned and I'm proud to say I am a diehard fan. Keep up the good work.
Great content as always. Drone footage you share is always great. Glad old Uncle Bucko repaired Safety Bob. I think Mark should have a nut cracker in his store year round just for Uncle Bucko!!! 😆 🤣
There always seems to be a weak link somewhere in everything we do in life Bill. Thank god the steering wheel didn't come apart all together on ya while you testing the Malibu out. Enjoying the videos and getting a kick out of you and uncle bucko giving each other a hard time.
That little 421 is moving pretty good on its own, after adding the nitrous kits to it, it might be wise to put a cage in that car, for safety and for structural integrity. There's a shop down by me in Mooresville NC that does beautiful work, Bagwell Hotrods and racecars. And right behind them is Mooresville dragway, an 1/8 mile track that's a good wide strip. Just something to think about, we want you to stay around.
I’m glad to see the old Malibu burning some rubber again. I’d love to hear that Isky cam hitting in that old small block Chevy! Thank you! Have a safe weekend!
Your videos help me out a bunch! Thanks for putting them out! I don't get into holidays much anymore either, they've gotten way too commercialized and plainly not what they are really about!
As much as I know you want to keep the Malibu a street car I'm beginning to think that you need some kind of bar behind your seat because if you broke that new steering wheel the seat is probably next. Glad you're getting all the bugs worked out looking forward to so full hits. Be safe and have a blessed Christmas.
Bill needs to put a roll bar in that car. I've always tell my kids, Safety first ! I'm a big guy too probably bigger. But at least put a dang roll bar in Big Bill. These cars aren't like that 55 Chevy. Like the new motor.
Enjoyed the video Malibu engine turned out real nice love the channel seeing y’all work on Vicki’s 64 inspired me to get a 67 c10 really leaned a lot from the channel keep the videos coming
BILL!!! Amp Research steps would really help your folks out on the silverado. The second recommendation would be a RANGE devise that plugs into the obdii port would extend life in that Silverado with higher line pressures in the trans and cancelation of cylinder deactivation if it has it.
Always grounds. MSD boxes especially hate not being directly wired to the battery, ive rewired a bunch that were doing similar things. The turn signals were overpowering the chassis ground and making it backfeed power into the CDI.
Bill there will be a package coming in the next few days. Spread the old signs out between all the garages and crew. Few 68to72 Ohio plates and Christmas cards. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the whole Crew. 😎🏁🤟
Hey Pops maybe Santa will bring you that new garage door opener you deserve it man and that was a great idea on spray painting the drone Orange and as always you guys have a great one and it's always good seeing y'all man happy holidays💪🏽💪🏽❤️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎👊🏼🗯💥🇺🇲
Nahunta Dragway ( Wayne County ) near Goldsboro NC is racing this weekend last I heard. They race through the winter unless it rains. Beautiful in NC right now.
We were all talking about the same thing about Christmas this year. Everyone seems to work hard but Miss Harley doesn't get enough on screen credit for all she does.
Bill, as always I've enjoyed your video this morning can't wait to see the Malibu make a full bath sound like getting all the bugs worked out of it stay safe may God bless you and Miss Vicky and everybody is affiliated with you except for the Old Man in Tampa Florida God bless
Hey Bill! Welcome back! It was nice to see you and Miss Vicky having such a good time at PRI such good people there. The Malibu is sounding great strong !! can’t wait to see a full on pull with NX should be a killer car now. Well stay safe and thank Miss Harley,Mr Kenny and U Buck O for all they do. Two weeks before that old Gentleman come ‘s see us. Enjoy🎅🏻🎅🏻❤️
I remember back when that cool steering wheel was installed on the Malibu. When you showed the first in car camera of you making a hit I watched as your hand was right at 12 o'clock. That steering wheel bent backwards as u launched. Seeing that made me wonder how long until that wheel either bends or breaks. Guess we see how long it took huh? lol. Being honest about something here. Initially I found your sons RU-vid channel and loved it. It was all about the s10, you and your son out racing it, working on it, doing father and son things with the truck, it was very cool to watch. Then the video's of the events were amazing. I believe that thanks goes to Tommy and Allison (sp) for their awesome footage and editing. NOW, years later. O.M.G. was born on Y.T. I have been subscribed since. This is not a hate speech bash of anything. I am being honest. As a viewer of the S.R.C. I have seen it take many different turns over the years. There has been drama on it and a bit of stupidity being done. All of which has led me to not being a subscriber to that channel anymore. I removed myself from it years ago when I entered a couple of the RC car giveaways and never received confirmation OR the arm bands proving that I actually bought into the contest (I did spend over 100.00 on arm bands on one of the giveaways.) I guess what I am saying to you, Bill is please do not change how you do things with this channel. O.M.G. is my number one favorite on Y.T. I love it because it's all about you and your wife, your brother, family, parts houses, machine shop, the Malibu, heck all of the vehicles, Kenny, his wife, the dogs, all of it. No bashing on S.R.C. here. That channel has this old guy not interested in it anymore. Keep on keepin on with what you are doing there. Thanks again for the great content. Cheers!
I have a suggestion for a new drone u wont regret... its crash proof.... its called the skideo, u can set it to follow a person or a car and it will fly its self and follow what u have it set on, go around trees or anything in the way....also u cant lose it, it can fly up to 100mph her hour.....GREAT for getting the shot
I broke a seat bracket on a launch in my 383 stroked 86 SS Monte Carlo I built. Talk about surprise! Hit the gas next thing I was full recline looking out of the T-tops. Wasn't expecting that!
Time for another guessing contest on what kind of time it will do in the quarter, with and without juice. I'm anxious to find out. And what was Kenny's response to the short pull. He seriously needs to talk more..lol
As always thanks for the video! Scrappy 1 Drone 0 ! We need some warm weather now so we can see some test hits. Today is the first day since dec. 1st that we had a full day of sun but now its 37degrees! Well thats memphis weather for you! GOODNIGHT and GOD BLESS to You and Ms. Vicki!
Just saw my new tshirts I want. Hopefully before Christmas I'll get them. Bucko is actually pretty good at repairing things including now drones. Well time to buckle up. Temperatures are supposed to get down to -2 this weekend on top of a foot of snow. Have a great night. Can't wait for the next video. This is gonna be a long off season for racing. Hopefully they are still letting us burn fuel after winter. You can't tell what that idiot and crew running the White House will do. Until next time. ✌🏼
I grew up in Dayton Ohio, the wheather there sucks this time of year. I moved to Tennessee and the wheather sucks here also. Not much of a window to go out and play, so the time is spent making it faster.. Just gotta keep on truckin. I love ur old Malibu,, such a clean old car!!
I think the car is looking good and can't wait to see it pulling hard to see what it can really do and thanks for your videos and be safe and God bless
It's a simple repair bill. The power source for the MSD and Ignition electronics have to be directly wired to the battery( power and grounds) not to the fuse panel. What's happening is when you turn on the turns signal it is simply robbing the power away from the Ignition. Or you just simply have bad grounds.
The Malibu is looking great can't wait to see the performance of the new engine and you already answered my question and video that drone has parts of the drone that got shoveled 😂😂 and good morning 👍🏾
I’ve definitely seen you put the gorilla grip on the steering wheel when you launch it and that seat looks like it is next coming along nicely Bill got a Hot Rod on your hands.
Bill I heard ya on the limpy and hns show that you were thinking of paradise dragstrip but the weather didn't look too good, this track is about 20 minutes from me and if you ever decide that you wanted to visit will you please let me know ,or send word thru miss Vickie and she can send details lol 😅 I'd love to help ya during a visit, if your wanting a back road track this is definitely the place! Now Lagrange ga troop county is another track in Da woods that I love more than anywhere, friendly atmosphere and wonderful folks who appreciates our visits, it's about 1.5 hrs from me but I'd love to go back and visit also. I'm very proud of you and your success Mr Bill, I've gotta get ole Moodyblue on a tune so if ya do visit we can have a blast with our toys!
Getting flipped off in your own home, by someone who gets fed by you aswell😒🤦😢 I know she does it jokingly, but it would be great if Bill one day, would just flip out, and say, im sick and tired of coming into my own damn house, and getting disrespected! Then just get into your malibu, and squeal the tires out of the driveway🤣😂! Also im glad you found your electrical gremlin. If your looking to up your voltage, alot of guys step up to an XS power Agm D1400=14 volt battery, and an alt. That charges between 15.7 to 16.7 volts (that is the recommended charge range for the D1400) . I usually go right in the middle=16.2 volts, as this gives best lifespan. Love your videos, thanks.
20yr GM tech here. If I can help you on that 2015 let me know. P0700 just means there is a DTC stored in the TCM you have to read. Let me go ahead and save you a bunch of time with that 6L80. The torque converter is failing and destroying the front pump which will destroy the clutches. They all do it and the only way to avoid it is to replace the torque converter with a quality aftermarket billet unit while it still has low miles.
