New Project for Warlord Games Bolt Action, The Vichy French in Syria!

Time for a new Bolt Action Army and as usual it’s themed to a particular theatre, this time it’s Syria in 1941 and the French Army of the Levant. Just before Christmas I picked up the new French starter army and some additional supports. I do like Colonial armies they have some nice differences that make them fun to game to build and game with. I take a look at the contents and go through the force I plan to build.

The last British mounted units used in battle were deployed against the Vichy forces in Syria. A number of mounted Yeomanry units were sent with their horses to replace the regular cavalry who returned to the UK for mechanisation.

The FOW book Burning Empires has info about the Vichy and the French that fought with the allies in Syria .

Thanks for this and comparing Warlord to Artizan, I’m looking to do French desert forces in the future. I’m using a Bierlet with my force instead of the Panhard though.
