I think Phil probably knows that its a waste of time, but is just trying to be seen as doing something proactive to please Satya after spending a heap of their companies money lol
Will have to improve the performance of X-Cloud to make it worth any where near the price of it. As it is should be half the price for anyone who only uses Gamepass on Streaming devices, after all a big chunk of the games are simply unplayable when streaming.
@@DeesBees85 yeah, as it is they show you a list of games coming then tell you that this is available on console, this one in oc, this one can/cannot be streamed, then the price and you're not sure what you're getting
There's so many great features they could be bringing that we've been asking for years and already have on PS4, but 3.5 years into it and we mostly just get small features barely anyone wants
Yay for Ghost of Tsushima! But it's also important to remember that a secondary PC release also requires a secondary ad campaign, marketing is expensiveeeee and sometimes not worth the price of a secondary release/ad campaign vs just releasing both PC and PlayStation releases together. Just speculation tho.
$240/year...you can get AAA games for $35 used, that's about 7 games, if you're buying a mix of AAA & smaller games you can legit get 10 games a year for that which you OWN forever. That's almost a new game every month which would keep most people fairly busy. Subscriptions are a rip off.
Only y’all are focus on western prices which is rtar considering in the Philippines where I’m at, it’s only $3 dollar per month lol. Like who gives a f
For comparison, since we don’t have regional store for PS here, most peps here just choose HK or SG as there region and PS plus essential is $60 a year compare to $40 a year for gamepass
There should be an option to use the touchpad to switch between the games theme and the console theme swipe left for game them, right for console theme.
That's a great idea. Or maybe for a more "screens" UI function that most phones and Linux OS tend to have. Could even be used for swiping in those pinned panels I never use because it's too cumbersome to do. Like, hold PS button and swipe left or right to bring it up. Or even swipe between game and system UI. I'm often surprised by all the obvious things they never do though, so not holding any 🌬️ for that one. : /
Wait, wait, wait really??? How? Why? The game is based on a French real life person also known as Joan of Arc why would they skip Europe the origin of the games narrative inspiration? I played it on a emulator long time ago but never knew that fact, so that's why the game is so expensive in Europe! Makes sense.
@@Official_RetroMania As someone who is from the UK, I can confidently say Europe has been screwed on plenty of game releases. To give you a few examples, Europe didn't get Super Mario RPG until it was released as a virtual console game on the Wii, Europe didn't get Chrono Trigger until it was released for the DS, Europe didn't get Tales Of The Abyss until it was released for the 3DS, Europe never got Front Mission 4, Europe never got Tales Of Legendia, Europe never got Xenogears, Europe didn't get Tales Of Eternia until the PSP, Europe didn't get Final Fantasy Tactics until the PSP, Europe never got Xenosaga 1 or 3, we only got Xenosaga 2, Europe didn't get a single Dragon Quest game until Dragon Quest 8 on the PS2, Europe only got the terrible Game Boy Advance version of Tales Of Phantasia, Europe didn't get a single Final Fantasy game until Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1, the first Persona game released in Europe was Persona 3 on the PS2, I really could go on and on.
@@ironbru1986 I total agree and understand your point but to be fair I also remember games what never got an American release but released in Europe, no idea which criteria they use which game gets released in which region and which not but thankfully in today's age most games release world wide and get translated in English (besides some very very niche Japanese games) and because of the internet even if a game doesn't get a physical release, it can still release in specific small regions.
@@Official_RetroMania Sometimes media have different publishers in various regions. So the answer can often be the game simply didn't get a distributor interested. That can of course in turn be because of that distributors perception on marketability for the title, for whatever reason. Trends, other too similar games, cultural expectation. There are probably still a lot more than train simulators and mah-jong not getting global shipping though. ;)
What pisses me off is that the european accounts don't even get the screen thats currently active as the "Explore", we literally only get the store and thats it.
PSVR2 has had a STELLAR week. This should be mentioned. 2024 is looking like an incredibly strong year for the platform. PS Plus now has ~10 games in its Premium Game Cataologue, meaning that if you are a Plus subscriber, you will have 10 games to play when you unbox your PSVR2.. Its's SUCH a good deal.
Yeah, the only reason I would ever go premium is if I buy a PSVR2. Since all games are digital only afaik, the games can't be sold off and I for one am not going to pay $90 a piece for a handful of games that may or may not make me motionsick. One or two months of premium to test them all is a cheap price to pay, but an unnecessary tier for any other purpose.
@@Henkibojj Actually Perp games has more than a few physical releases of PSVR2 games. But yes, it seems there is a trend toward digital, and with VR, physical seems scarce.
@@Jake-uv4sl You can make a 2nd account in that country. Buy games on that account, logout and play the games on your 1st account as long as you have that account set to primary on your ps5. The only other 2 options you have is to forget about your 1st account entirely or if you don't want to make a 2nd account, you could spend your new earned currency on gift cards from websites like playasia or cdkeys. Those websites carry giftcards in other currencys that won't be in your local wal-mart.
I recently beat Rachet & Clank Size Matters for the first time on a Ratchet & Clank series marathon. Because I only really played the first two games and Rift Apart. Size Matters is probably the hardest game of the series. Mainly because there are way too many enemies, they're bullet sponges and you constantly run out of ammo.
i dont understand why is the Explore button only available in the US. Is it still considered Beta?? after 4 years? And how about that mic button on the official PS remote? Why is there a mic button that is not working? They were saying it will work in a future update. But aren't we , as they said, in the 2nd half of the Playstation 5 life? Why arent those features working? i have the console in europe for 4 years, and things are still in Beta?? wtf?
I remember playing ratchet and clank size matters on my psp back in 2007 when it came out and let me tell you something, this game is a hidden gem and underrated imo. Man i miss those days...
I am so happy to hear about the success for shift up! I'm glad I pre ordered stellar blade and was able to show support for the game. This is music to my ears, to hear about things looking good going forward, for the whole team.
You might be right on the money. I was thinking originally it was something from TLOU since I saw the weird bump straps at the top. The points near the neck as a visor holder and them looking like their holding a steering wheel has to be the right answer. I wonder if they'll show up in Memory Meadows or Cooling springs
Honestly they should bring features back from the Whats New? tab on PS4. It felt much more social. Even if it was just simple likes on the page or trophies.
Oh man, a remaster of all those games in a bundle would be really cool. The resistance single players were fantastic, and even tho i hated the ps3 the games i did end up playing online with those consoles were kz2 and resistance2. Resistance 2 multiplayer was amazing, the coop mode with classes and stuff was so unique at the time.
Gran Turismo 7 the game that never goes down in price. It's like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe of the PlayStation 5. Sony is starting to pull a Nintendo never drop prices that's crazy. Also that PlayStation 5 pizza dev kit is a great meme. Cool video. ^_^
I wish they just did a port or remastered for Bloodborne, 60 fps and with antialiasing. What I believe we will get is the same as Demon Souls, which made sense for that game, for Bloodborne not so much
Subscription services are bad because if they focus on them, the result will be quantity over quality ! I think they should only include unsuccessful single player games, live service games and online gaming, its healthier that way and more sustainable for both players and the studios.
the biggest problem is. you pay to play online. when its free on mobile and pc... i only pay to be able to play online and have cloud save backup. but i feel it should be free. its way to expensive. but what can you do. just pay up they know that.
I think PlayStation needs to go back to offering a free tier, that just includes online multiplayer, for those of us that don't care at all about renting games. Ive used gamepass and PS premium. Sure its nice to catch a game you missed here or there, but neither service has everything you want as a gamer, you still have to buy games, and I prefer to just pick and choose what i want to buy day 1 and what I'll catch on a sale. Streaming will never be reliable enough to be the primary way we consume games, gaming is different than watching TV
@@rodriguezkev Multiplayer was free in the PS3 days, it was Microsoft that started that whole thing. With Microsoft getting out of consoles, my hope is things will go back the way they were
@@B-U-T-C-H-E-R I don't see them becoming competitors. The PC market is still very different to the console space. Most console gamers see PC as being very expensive to get into and not plug and play like a console. I see the Steam Deck becoming competition to any handheld Sony or Microsoft may release though.
Dude I been watching you since I was a youngin in like 2013 or something?? Dude I know I you don’t know me and you prob wont read this but Your content genuinely makes me so happy reminds me of when I was young lol
Yea you can buy these classic games individually, you don't need the subscription, something Nintendo should really be offering also for their classic games.
And yes Sony and consoles including wiiu and Xbox consoles and Apu combined cpu and gpu in general literally saved the company and allowed them to invest in Ryzen which they are now dominating in the PC space on cpu side, their market cap is about 1.75x the amount of Intel right now and without the consoles they would not have gotten there
Third one is wearing a pro helmet...the bumps are the various aero bits that are added on. You can even make out the HANS post for the neck attachment on the right hand side of the helmet that racing drivers wear so it's probably Gran Turismo
TBH assuming that FF7 remake part 3 hits this gen (it should), and with SE implying a multiplat future, this may be the last time I buy a non Nintendo console. Better part of £500 for diminishing returns, less choice (we're really celebrating them adding a background to one tile? FFS. If that was Microsoft...) and higher costs... there's really little reason not to go for a higher mid-tier PC after the gen shift
Oh my goooosh 😅 yet another beta update for that Explore tab! I'm waiting with bated breath for this to hopefully release in Canada, since all those widgets and updates are great QoL to see!
Charging for online gaming is such a rip off and gets worse with every price increase. Basically charging more for something that isn't theirs to charge for anyway.
In regards to the background bit, I wish Sony would do what the PS3 did. The background was brighter during the day and then dimmer at night, all depending on what the system clock was, and it changed colors each month.
Don't claim NHL 24 PS5 version, its absolutely broken and barley works with most games and even menus being full of constant stutter and lag, its not an internet issue its the game itself which EA hasn't fixed still yet, doubt they will
The microsoft/xbox gamepass is still superior. For instance, gamepass still has E.A (electronic arts) gifted within gamepass, at no extra cost, you get FC 2024 (football club), Madden, NHL, dragon age and all of the ea games directly inserted into gamepass, as well as new microsoft/xbox games coming at you day and date on gamepass. So, no Playstation + is not the same. If you meant the tiers, no, still not the same.😮😊 18:05
Interesting how people say hero shooters are a saturated genre although we’ve gotten maybe 3 in a year, yet no one says this about, say, soulslikes, and three or four of those damned things come out every month
People need to stop saying PlayStation Plus had a price increase. It did NOT. The monthly prices have not changed since the start. The only change is the reduction of the discount to the annual bundle. Stop this.
Great video Mystic! Do you know if they’re gonna bind gamelists to accounts? Right now they’re just locally saved on PS5. So my gamelists on my home PS5 don’t appear on my brother’s.
Uhhh did you see the ps2 classics? They're doing new stuff all the time. New discord integration that is now superior to xbox, being able to directly join discord calls? They're even trying to get discord screen sharing to work. Like what are you on?
Since I am on a three month free test subscription for game pass without any intentions to keep it afterwards, I feel called out by the price change. I'm gonna cherish playing Kunitsu Gami day one though.
Hey Ryan, I figured I'd just give a heads up that at 1:30 there is a slight typo (an additional "r") for Job Simulators platform. Hope it helps, thanks as always for the quality videos! 🙏
