@dean-543 thanks I really would like to see him try. If he could get it to work off the back he could just turn around go grab a tool. He could do jobs in the rain as well.
When I worked for Subaru at the dealer my foreman always yelled at me for being honest. Any repair he scolded me for not writing up cars for every flush
I remember changing the water pump in my 77 monte carlo back in the 90s. Once the fan & shroud were pulled, I had enough room to stand in between the engine and radiator to work. I miss big, simple cars.
Helped the old man pull the leaking radiator on his 1959 Chevy Biscayne work car with the straight 6. You could see plenty of the driveway on both sides of the engine. No a/c, no power steering and 3 on the tree. Took us 10 minutes to pull it and him being a sheet metal mechanic he repaired the leak himself. 30 minutes later it was all put back together.
Some vehicles are still simple. I changed the water pump on my 2005 Chevy Silverado. I thought it was going to be a nightmare but once I got to do it, it really wasn't that bad. And I'm not a very smart person. There's some repairs that can be done by the car owner. You just have to be patient.
Love your channel. We love you all the way in Oregon my brother. I was so happy to see jack stands. Got to be safe for your family. Awesome work as always Parker!! Keep it up my brother. Love the new “whip” your mechanic truck looks super nice. Take care and as always Respect Salute!!
@@siriosstar4789 oh yeah, generality, describe the last person you seen driving a hellcat, or the last person you seen driving a corvette, see, someone else pointed it out already, its customer base, you market towards specific people because those people want that product, ive provided some examples that should give you an idea of what that means, you can fill in the blanks of the examples, heres another one, describe the last person you say driving an f-350, or the last person you seen driving a prius.
finding a solid mechaninc is like finding a good barber. When you find them you stick with them for life but theyre few and far between and this goes fgor most trades nowdays.
Keep your values Matthew, Integrity and honesty will take you far. Many Dads are likely sending this to their Grown Daughters so they see what a real Tech looks like.
This has become my fav channel in a very short time. Keep it up👍👍 hope nothing but the best for you man. P.s. come to FL I need some help on my corolla😂😂
Good, honest mechanic. Good job and relaying of information to the customer. The customer , comes across as a decent, engaging and trusting young lady. Nice video.
Great work Matthew! In the old days ,there were shops that fixed radiators. Now a days ,like pay phones are no longer around! I figure the modern radiators are not repairable.
I owned a VW Jetta, which had problem after problem until it was totaled in a collision. Then I bought a Toyota Corolla, which has never had any issues.
You definitely gotta be a really faithful man to do this type job. Going around to these fine ladies houses. Not saying their all the same but some will definitely give that Thang up quick
@@ABSF49 I know what you mean bro! But Im a single guy looking for true love…. Shes a good catch! Shoot your shot right? Us guys have to get use to rejection, most women wont know what guys feel when they get denied.😅

Top Tip of the day, when you are buying a part for your car at the auto shop take the old part with you to check it is the same, the number of times I've got home and discovered the part doesn't fit, they change spec on cars 2-3 times a year so rads, starters, alternators etc sometimes have slightly different fittings, bolt holes and lugs slightly different etc, save a lot of hassle, sometimes they even have the same part number but are not exactly the same,
dam working on a Jetta in one thing. but working it on the ground is one thing. Doing it for a living is also one thing COMPLETLY different then these wanna be mechanic working in their garage. YES IM TALKING TO YOU!!!!. One thing i've found in this world is everybody wants to be a mechanic.. Not everybody can. Great job buddy.
Man I sure wish u was in my area those mechanic shops cost a arm and a leg around my area love ur work u do on ppl vehicles and for a reasonable price keep up the great work buddy love ur videos
Excellent videos. Fun to watch you working. Just a thought, now that you’re driving around in your box truck. Check out the Quickjack set up. portable list system made by Ben pack. Instead of having use jackstands and all that.
You explained everything to the customer and physically showed her the coolant fault. Shop would of scammed her for a head gasket or water pump and timing belt change, charged her for a diagnostics too but put a radiator in and the lady would never know. You also have the old part to show what's been done. Also note all water pumps have what is called a weep hole. They weep a small amount of coolent. It is very small amount but over a lot of miles when you look it appears it's leaking. If they don't weep they would blow apart. Still worth replacing on a belt service though.
Matthew brother, love what you're doing. I just want to say don't ever trust a hydraulic jack while you're under a car. I saw you climbing under with one jack stand on one side and the jack on the other.
If you can afford it it's good idea to do a full coolant system maintenance all hoses (upper/lower radiator hose/ heater core hoses, radiator, water pump, thermostat with a coolant flush. Especially If you live in a hot summer state.
I found that if you look at the new part first and become familar with it, you can see fixing points, ports, connectors etc, this helps when removing the old part blind or in a difficult position and I've been hitting things with hammers for forty five years.
Radiators don't typically just leak,if the vehicle has not been in any accidents and Radiator leaks there's usally over heating issues that caused pressure to build rupturing the radiator. I never just put a radiator in there's more too it ,temperature switch, thermostat, water pump something not right
Here in my city there are mobile mechanics…. They charge $50.00 just to come out and do a diagnostics. Then if you want a radiator changed out it’s $150.00 plus tax. If you ask them to order expect to be upcharged! An estimate for similar work done here could go easily for about $400.00 dollars
Using that fan to keep you cool is smart. I do the same thing when I go visit my parents in Oklahoma they always have something that needs to be fixed when I go out there My dad was telling me starting to get hot and humid.
