Right on. Only tested it on paper, but immediately recognized it as Polo Red. Seemed like a proper parfum flanker to me, just like Blue Parfum. Now I'm REALLY hoping for Polo Green Parfum, but...I probably won't hold my breath. Ditto with Black. Especially since the other colours are still available. Polo white, orange, yellow and purple. Taste the rainbow. 🌈
Now this is why I finally believe body chemistry matters because the opening for me last for 2-3 hours and projecting for 6 to 7 hours so far today. I have warmer than average skin temp so maybe this oil needs higher temps to project
Great review. I agree with your description and am amazed there is no leather. I didn't read the ingredients and just assumed that it was a soft leather fragrance, once the fruity opening dies down. It is very pleasant.
I am a super sucker for the entire red line. I think they did a good job, number one by keeping it different but at the same time spinning new vibes. The parfum does wear like a parfum. Strong and heavy. Ralph Lauren is not famous for performance. Lately I've come to really grasp the performance issue. Ever since I use a cab or Uber to get to and from work, I get to often hear a honest opinion on how I smell going to work where I just applied a scent, to when I go home and may or may not be smelling like anything. I've had 6-12 hour work days and almost every time I come home wearing this amazing Polo Red Parfum I get the driver to say something. For the most part everyone loves this. I love this and this lasts on me all day. It's direction went very sweet and dense. Very dense. Try spraying this on and sniff where you applied this a long breath. It develops almost as you smell it. You smell the complexity or at least I do. Hey Polo, if you care about your loyal consumers, do a EDP and Parfum and Elixir of the Polo Green. Come on it's only been decades and do the fans justice. It's an insult the last few times I smelled the newer formulas you use. It may catch the attention of new frag lovers but come on. I used to use this in the 1980's, put it on, use the house phone, the smell would be on that phone four days later.
Picked up the gift set at the outlet store today 125ml bottle with bonus 40ml bottle same price as 125 ml alone after discount it was a steal. always great reviews
The only Polo Reds I've really enjoyed are Intense and Extreme. In theory, I should love the whole, but that's because traditionally Polo Red scents utilize two notes I love: Coffee and Cranberry. The new Polo Red Parfum has neither and it sounds like a weak projector on top of that. Ralph Lauren is pretty hit or miss, but when they hit, I love their stuff. Purple Label, Polo Blue Parfum, Deep Blue, Gold Blend, Ralphs Club Parfum, Polo Red Intense and Extreme, Polo Cologne Intense, even Polo Earth; all fantastic. But they've dropped some stinkers as well, and this one seems like I might be putting it in that category.
Sprayed it at Macy's and liked the opening so much, I tested it on my arm. I love the opening, a LOT. But the further it got into the dry down the more there was a note that I didn't like that was getting stronger and stronger on my skin. After an hour or so, I had to tap out and wash it off. Disappointed, because I really enjoyed that opening. Still, everyone's skin is different, so I definitely recommend giving it a try.
I loved the og polo red and when I smelled this one I loved it just as much if not more. Long time polo fan and I just ordered this one and blue parfum lol to add to the collection. Red was my OG go to so I had to get this one.
Thanks, Ash! I have to live with a Polo frag for a while in normal rotation to really test it out. Always looking for a Red Intense twist to show up some day.😢 Will try this one out once my frag account gets a refill. . .😅
My polo red intense is about to finish up and I'm so sad that it was discontinued. What do you think I should get if I want the same smell? I really want that fragrance.
I’m very new to this and is that refill thing true? I mean it says it on the side but how much of a price difference is it and do all cologne brands do this or just select ones?
@@Seasniffer69 I heard you can just walk into like a macys or Sephora and ask for a refill, rather than purchasing a brand new bottle, for much less. But you have to have the empty bottle with you. I’m just not sure how it all works and what colognes you can do it with.
@@jessiewhite7783 oooooh I guess I did not catch that part! What the hecko. I must have a dollar store version of Sephora in my town because the best they do is dunhill icon and dolce n gabanna as far as lines. Very limited for men.Absolutely nothing was newer or high end. So I'd never go back there
i hate it when i smell a frag and i like it so i come on youtube to see what others think jt to find theres like 5 different versions lol i have the edp sample and it smells fire but i wasnt sure of the longevity etc
So I have worn red polo black logo for years I go to buy a new bottle and it’s silver label now can someone explain this to me my current bottle that just went out was solid red bottle with black logo non transparent glass.
You're late to the game my friend. Bought the polo red parfum a few weeks ago and quickly became my favorite. I would put it up there with versace flame eros.
I got a 200 ml 6.7 ounce bottle of the Polo Red Eau de Parfum at Macy's Black Friday 2022 for $70 im not sure but to me the scent doesn't last im at about 1/2 bottle and i recently order a 200 ml 6.7 ounce bottle of the Versace Eros Flame in Eau de Parfum as well paid full price $140 which im hoping it'll be better on longevity and projection vs the Polo Red Eau de Parfum its like they diluted their recipe
I seen that iFragrance or Parfumo or ONE of those sites had this listed as being closest to scent profile to Nassamatos Absinthe..does anyone happen to know or own both and/or see a resemblance in them by chance as I currently own Absinthe HOWEVER have yet to try this one..thanks in advance guys
