Stan, I've watched all of your Work Truck Week Videos. Out of all of the sales people, The Jeep Guy was way out ahead of everyone else! He definitely knew what he was talking about, not just memorizing stuff. Thanks Stan!
I really like the RamBox concept which gives you lockable space in the side panels of the box. Complete with drain holes if you wish to have ice cold beverages available.
I just bought a 19 with the boxes and really surprised me how much i can fit in them, love the ac plug inside, i keep a couple batteries and a charger for my cordless tools
Ram is the way to go no if ands or buts I swear by there trucks lots of power amazing interiors and amazing reliability hands down! Cummins engines last forever. Even there hemis I have 3 rams my oldest is a 2nd gen 12 valve 567xxxkms still strong
Sorry Stan I am old school when truck were trucks dam I hate what they have turned into We had a 50 1 ton and would carry' 4 ton of hay strong back but get stuck on a froze cow turd on level ground
My 2019 ram 1500 Laramie 8” entertainment screen has an air bubble that’s growing. Started this spring and now is almost the whole length of one side. My dad and coworker had the previous gen and recently had the hemi cam shaft failure which was an expensive repair that doesn’t look like the issue was fixed on the 5th gen hemi. My dad traded his truck in after getting it fixed and got a 22 f150 powerboost and first trip A/C froze up and had weird engine noise and wouldn’t shut off. Prices going up but quality going down.
Stan this is not for you it serves no purpose for you unless you wanted to play in style...but i hope it helps others out there looking ok just my 2 cents have owned all brands in my life of trucks that is, and got ride of a z71 loaded last year So i started out with chevy and was told wait time and the fact that if i was to order a trail boss or the like i would not get heated seats or steering wheel or or or but you can order one..so off to ford i went and raptor prices were thru the roof with dealer add ons and wait times. So mopar looked at plenty and were on the lot or coming in (in transit) with some dealers adding ons but most at msrp or below still offering incentives. And first responders military etc.SO i have only owned only1 dodge in the past it was a tiny 4x4 dakota back in the 90s just to have a truck along with my cars and harley. But now i am the owner of a 2022 Ram Powerwagon All the bells and whistles and i dint get bent over.now drawbacks cant plow except with a front receiver push and its a beast 6.4 lucky if i get 20 mpg but if you play you pay.but front rear locking dif unlocking front sway and winch.that said I hold NO brand loyalty .But when i get ride of this its going to be hard to beat. p.s.Now is not the time to want..2025 things should be sane ukraine will be back on track for harness and Chinas conflicts will be settled dealers will have to deal if there are dealers left..and yes the chips will be cured.only buy if you need.please take care stay safe and healthy
this was one Hail of a great video! hahaha. alas, hail is inevitable, and hail damage is too. at least those where very minor. great trucks ye showed us Stanley, thanks =)
Always had better luck with Fords than Rams when it comes to gas engines. That 7.3 Godzilla engine is the best thing going for HD gassers right now. Diesels, on the other hand…Cummins all the way.
I remember when the Triton ford gassers first came out. They were saying they were the greatest gas engines around. Lol, I am glad you had good luck with those though. As far as the godzilla, yeah it seems like a good engine now, give it some time though to see how dependable it is over the long haul.
@@truckguy6.7 fair points. My Ford trucks were older, so they didn’t have the 5.4. The wife’s Expedition had a later Triton, 2012, and it never had an engine issue. 140k, if I remember correctly, and still ran great. The rust bubbles on the rear hatch, however, is a different story… The 7.3 gasser is new, so we’ll see. A simple, naturally aspirated OHC V8 without a bunch of over complicated nonsense like shutting down cylinders to help mpg is at least a step in the right direction.
I'm not sold on any of the new trucks from 2019 I know he says there's been the truck of the year for 4 years but I don't care for the body style at all Honestly I still like the look of 2nd Gen the best.
I think it was Buick they use a similar system with a bigger alternator so they could use a higher gear ratio and get better gas mileage. Gas powered engine has to get going a little bit so that they can start making torque were ours an electric motor has all the power across their entire rpm range
Liking the RAM trucks Stan. Gas or Diesel? What do you think is a better truck for the long run, engine life and fuel efficiency? Ram, Chevy, Ford, Toyota, GMC, of what you saw first hand, who's got the best half ton truck for 2022? Sum up your thoughts please for a summary video of the "Truck Week".
Since you're the smartest person in plowing and lawn services. How could I contact you about some advice kinda. I'd like to just list off a few questions and get your input if you don't mind taking the time that is
so 'fantasy" work truck here ... if i was looking for a new one now , i would want a eco diesel , on a 1 ton , 4x4 , chassis , with a single rear wheel , 4.10 - 4.56 gears in the axles and a 6 speed manual , with a extended cab and around a 6.5 foot bed
Dodge the Father, Ram the Daughter. Most contractors would prefer a 2 door, 8' bed, Warn lock in\out hubs part time 4 wheel drive with slant 6 and radio delete....for under $15,000. Gizmos are worthless when they break and truck is sitting at dealer for repairs.
Stan I totally agree trucks today or any vehicle sheet metal so thin my 2014 4500 Ram which I hated since I purchased a stick hit the hood and put a dent older trucks that would of never happened. Those new vehicles probably have 10 thousand worth of body work needed to fix new hoods roof repaired possibly fenders bedside repair plus repainting. Or just rhino line the whole thing like someone 🐒 did 👍I’ll stick with my old trucks for plowing and put the $ in them to keep running
One interesting thing about hail damage (because that's what I fix) is the aluminum panels are much more expensive to repair and reach a threshold of being replaced before steel panels. So what you see, isn't necessarily the amount of damage in dollars or the time it takes to repair.
You "Hail Repair Masters" ARE. It is unbelieveable how you can rub the dent gone! I saw a big crease in a fender on an auto and 2 hours later you wouldn't believe it was the same car. Gone. Worth every penny
@@steveschilling5966 No the repair PDR is much more difficult and aluminum will stress crack in extreme cases. In some ways it will resist damage better but the damage taken is not linear. Small shallow dents in this video can be repaired with PDR fairly easy.
the jeep trucks are a pretty good deal for the money you get a real solid running gear I dont think it would make a great heavy hauler but a small mower trailer it will do it all day long
Always loved the Jeeps Stanley, I had two Comanches if you're familiar with those and my first one I bought brand new in 1990 right off the lot and I drove the wheels off the thing. I used to toll in Eliminator trailer with my lawn care everyday and she never gave up on me. I wish they would bring back the Comanches but a little more beefier. I guess the Gladiator it's probably the closest I can hope for. Take care Stanley and God bless.
I dont really see that, they cost as much or more than a half ton ram and have less capabilities. Plus the pentastar sucks just as much gas as the 5.7 hemi but with less power and torque. The ecodiesel is an option in them but its expensive, has def, and is hard to find.
One hell of a salesman. Great job thanks. Looks like I’m just just going to rebuild my transmission. Paid off is always better then another payment especially with the current administration of idiots.
The trucks you need gotta take some heavy pounding. It's going to be harder to find tge durability of the old trucks I think. There all way more expensive than I could ever afford.
Stan don't even look at anything with a eco diesel guy that lives next to me has one he dumped thousands into it from emissions junk to a rebuild on the engine bc soot built up from egr stick with the hemi if you can
I guess your suppose to buy a trailer if you want to haul any lumber to the job site now. An 8' bed isn't offered anymore? It looks as if all a truck is good for anymore is to look pretty going down the road. How bad was the price on the 3/4? The dully bed looks like a ??? The prices now are way out of line also. How's a guy suppose to make a living anymore? Thanks for all the information. I'm still confused on why the Chevy & GMC wouldn't allow their people to be on camera. All you did is give the others is free advertisement. My old Chevy looks real good right about now. 200,000 miles on her and she still starts on 1st time.
@@Dirtmonkey I didn't read all of the comments. I usually go a few pages deep, but made that comment before i even scrolled. BTW, I happen to like RAM trucks more than the others. I don't hold that against you.
Yeah I’ve wondered if anyone has used a Gladiator as a work truck. That’s is, towing 5k daily, delivering block, plants and mulch maybe? At least hauling lumber or heavy loads.
Idk about them hauling but guy in my town regularly goes to Home Depot and loads that Jeep up with plywood and 2x4s was surprised seeing how many sheets he had in it filling the bed but it worked for him🤷♂️
Ummmmnm, Hail comes in very different sizes. Pretty tough to compare body damage unless the same chuck hit both trucks, or obviously similar size and density hail chunks hit both trucks.
