An old film that describes how the New River Bridge was built. Michael Baker Corporation played a critical role in this historic and iconic bridge project. Which is now on the West Virginia quarter.
Having worked for American Bridge, I knew some Ironworkers that worked on the New River project. They told me that one of the towers or a tower leg did fail and the extremely heavy cable ran into the gorge taking trees and everything in its path. Those guys had some great pictures!
